Come to our office bldg today, figured I’d give it a shot. The guys were super nice and the food was delivered quickly so that’s always a plus with a food truck! I ordered the combo, got the cheeseburger and PB&J sliders with tater tots and drink for $ 9. Not a bad deal actually. The cheeseburger was good, but I didn’t care much for the avocado sauce. Would definitely order without next time but other than that it was delish! But the winner was the PB&J! It had Homemade Pretzel Peanut Butter, Blueberry Jam, and Sliced Bananas. This little slider was sooooo good. I should have just gotten two of them. I would definitely return next time they come here for lunch :)

The best food truck you can work with for company events. Very fast, efficient and professional! I worked with them for events and we had around 1000 guests and they were awesome! The food is DELICIOUS and I recommended them to family and friends. Thank you for being part of our successful events! Goli :)

Why did I give this place 4 stars? It must have been a mistake on my part because The Burnt Truck definitely deserves all 5. I’ve never had a bad experience here. It’s all gravy, just like the fried chicken slider which has gravy. See what I did there? Oh, and that fried chicken slider is amazing by the way. I’ve tried pretty much everything on their menu. The only one I haven’t tried is the vegetarian slider, which seems pointless to me since I’m a carnivore. I’m not trying to knock it or anything. Maybe I’ll try it one of these days. Everyone at The Burnt Truck is awesome. I love the people there, and it makes every experience that much cooler. Who doesn’t love great food from great people? If you haven’t tried The Burnt Truck yet, you need to get out more.

They have a simple money here but it works. I really love potato! This places sealed the deal for me when I got fried chicken bacon fries! I also got tater tots and the sloppy joe. The sloppy joe hit the spot. It basically took me two bites just to finish on slider. The Hawaii buns were a amazing idea! One of my favor types of buns. My girlfriend and I drove everywhere trying to find this burger truck. I am glad we found it. A good good tip for everybody check out there Twitter account to find where there at. Lol Don’t be like me I won’t mind coming here again!:) The lines do get long somethings so beware of that’s Well I hope they would of gave more sliders with our meal though.

Truck was parked outside the John Wooden Classic, so opted to try it out. Had the cheeseburger slider, boy was it good! I was surprised. $ 3 for any slider. Not bad for a trendy truck.

The first time I had the fried chicken slider from The Burnt Truck, it was a revelation. Very original concept and incredibly well done. The right balance of gravy on top, and the chicken is perfectly done. The other sliders are great, too, but the fried chicken slider is the highlight. I get the combo with 2 sliders and a side of tater tots(the tots are tasty, too). It’s juuust enough food for me, but I could do with one more slider for the times that I’m really hungry. Also, their strawberry iced tea has chunks of strawberry inside — yum! The lines are always so long at the truck, which is a deterrent. If you want to get your burnt truck fix and not wait half an hour+, they opened a brick and mortar with Dogzilla recently, and the line there doesn’t seem very long at all!

What a great treat! Our employer summoned The Burnt Truck as a lunchtime treat for our 150+ employees… and wow did they deliver on flavor, service, and expediency with so many orders! The cheeseburgers were topped with grilled onions and the fried mozzarella had a yummy sweet tomato relish. The crinkle cut fries were crispy and hot and an awesome compliment to our combo meals. Thanks, Burnt Truck!

While I don’t consider myself a big food truck aficionado, I’m a fan of the Burnt Truck! The line may be daunting but it moves quickly because they are extremely fast at turning around orders. Their menu is simple: various sliders, tots, and fries. On my most recent visit(or rather, the Burnt Truck’s most recent visit, since they came to my office complex), I ordered the meatball and cheeseburger. Both were delicious, but the cheeseburger was a standout slider. The cheeseburger consisted of a plain patty, American cheese, grilled onions, and avocado spread, and they sure do know how to make it flavorful and juicy. I also redeemed a free side of tots by checking in on Unilocal. The two sliders and tater tots left me feeling satisfied but not stuffed. It was the perfect amount to avoid food coma. However, if you’re famished, three or more sliders would probably be the magic number. I’m looking forward to the next time the Burnt Truck is nearby. For those who are less excited about chasing this truck down, try visiting Burntzilla in Irvine. It is a brick and mortar shop that represents a collaboration between the Burnt Truck and the Dogzilla Truck. Burntzilla offers a few standard Burnt Truck items like the cheeseburger, fried cheese, fried chicken, pork belly and pulled pork sliders.

So I was super excited to try The Burnt Truck for the 1st time due to all the 5 star reviews. I arrived at about 2:20pm for lunch and it was good, but not great. One clue might be that there was no line and the food was ready about 10 seconds after I ordered it. «Heat Lamp» anyone? I’m so bummed as I know these guys have a novel thing going, but pre-cooked food sitting around doesn’t cut it for me and I hope the buck you saved was worth a bad review! LOCATION and AMBIANCE(Rating 2.5) The location will change day to day and the ambiance will always be a food truck so that’s about it for this category of the review. SERVICE(Rating 4) They were friendly, happy to recommend items and were extremely fast with the food. Too fast… read above. FOODIN «BESTOF» ORDER FRIES(Rating 4) Yep, I liked the fries better than the sliders. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, very crisp yet not oily and well seasoned. I’d do these again but I really wish they were on the«heart healthy» list. CHICKENSLIDER(Rating 2.75) So this is their most popular slider. It starts with buttermilk fried chicken, country gravy, garlic mashed potato spread on a great slider roll. I can tell if the slider I was served was fresh, it would have rated much higher, but the chicken was still cooked well and the meat juicy even though they are pretty small pieces of chicken. Sorry to say, it wasn’t fresh so I wasn’t happy. CHEESEBURGERSLIDER(Rating 2.25) A 3 is generous for this slider. I can tell it would have been great had it been fresh, but oh well, I guess it was more important for them to save a buck. The cheeseburger consists of Angus beef, American Cheese, grilled onions and avocado spread. I have to note as well that the avocado spread was barely discernible.

First time at the Burnt Truck, and I have to admit that it’s well worth it. It might not always be worth the wait though… the line was nearly 50 people! Which took about a half an hour to burn through. Definitely avoid it if you don’t like crunchy meals; the Burnt Truck specializes in ensuring your food contains maximal crunchy moments without tearing up the inside of your mouth. The Burnt Truck specializes in sliders on those sweet, Hawaiian bread buns for $ 3. My personal faves are the Fried Chicken and PB&J sliders. The fried chicken is slightly overcrisp in the KFC«extra crispy» style, without all the grease, and is topped with just the right amount of garlic mashed potato and a smidgen of gravy. The PB&J has extra pretzel shavings to give it crunch, and small slices of banana to provide an awesomely simple combo. Both sammiches will leak a bit on your hands, so be sure to snag some napkins for your inevitable finger-lickin’. The tater tots here are delightfully crunchy, also cooked in that slightly overcrisp style. The portion is about what I’d expect for $ 2…roughly 15 tots. While most purveyors might prefer the 2 sliders, tots, and drink deal for $ 9, I was pretty full from just the $ 3 slider and the free tots provided by my Unilocal check-in. All in all, great food at a great price. Good job Burnt Truck!

Service: I haven’t had to talk with the staff, just ordered my food and move to the side since there was a long line behind me. Food: I had a fried chicken slider and tater tots. It was very good. The chicken was juicy and not dry. The tots brought me back when I was a kid downing a bunch of these. It was all well seasoned and went well with a coke.

I ate here after coming down to Costa Mesa one day for work. The truck was parked in the OC Fairground area along with a bunch of other food trucks as part of a gathering. After looking at all of the trucks, I settled on the Burnt Truck because everything looked good. Because everything looked good, it was pretty hard to decide what to order, so I settled on the daily special. It consisted of fries with gravy, fried chicken, and bacon. Yes please! It was so amazing, and I couldn’t finish it all. It could have used a little more chicken bacon and gravy as toward the end of the dish, all I had left were fries. Regardless though, I really enjoyed my food. I also sampled my coworker’s sliders, one of which had fried mozzarella, marinara, and basil aoli, and it was so flavorful, and really sweet. It was almost like eating a dessert slider. I really enjoyed it. I definitely would try more from this food truck. Specifically, the sloppy joe and fried chicken sliders looked the best

So Burnt Truck came to Irvine and paid my office a visit. Cool. Every person received a ticket for a free meal which included two sliders, chips, and a drink. Very Cool. Line was insane, but that was expected. Tents and chairs were set up and the line moved very quickly. The guys were organized and ready to go. Impressive. The best thing in my lunch was the soda, and I don’t like soda. Sweet potato chips were burned. Fried chicken and gravy w/mashed potatoes tasted really strange. I couldn’t taste chicken. The gravy had odd seasoning. The mashed potatoes were present in texture but not in flavor. The bread was stale. Cheeseburger was overcooked and hard. Bread stale again. Cheese was plastic. Now, I’m guessing since this was a mass feeding, quality probably was compromised, but that’s still a negative mark on any business. If quality will suffer at the hand of quantity for the purposes of turning a profit, then how are you any different than other declining chains(Lucille’s comes to mind). No thanks. I like Dogzilla better(the Burnt Truck + Dogzilla collaboration in Irvine seems to be doing well, but I won’t be contributing to their profits either).

A great and affordable food truck which is hard to find! Sliders are $ 3 a piece, or $ 9 for the combo which comes with 2 sliders, 1 side and a drink. I got the fried chicken slider that comes with a mashed potato spread. yum I love mashed! It was a good portion and full of flavor. I also got free tater tots for checking in, which are normally $ 2. I’ve never had a food truck give check in offers, so I was totally sold. They offer strawberry tea — $ 3, that looked appealing, but my friend said it wasn’t anything special. I’ve never spent so little money at a food truck event, but so happy to and was very full. I can’t wait to try the burnt trucks other sliders. Oh yeah, A+ for speed! I got my food in a few minutes after ordering. Unheard of for a food truck!

The burnt truck was in my work complex and it couldn’t have come on the right day. I had no idea what I wanted for lunch and by coincidence there was the burnt truck. It took them about 15 minutes after they had arrive to prep and had things ready to go. I looked at the menu and decided to pick up the kbbq sliders and the western bacon sliders. First off the gentleman who took off my order was extremely friendly, warm and understood customer service. I had a couple of questions and he was more than courteous enough lend me advice on a couple of other items they have. I wait for about 5 minutes and my sliders were ready. The sliders are actually pretty good size and portion wise. The western bacon slider tastes better than the Carl Jr. burger itself. The bacon was the key for this slider. It was cooked to perfection and had great texture with just the right amount of crunch. The kbbq slider was so flavorful. My only regret was I didn’t get any sriracha but still the slider was absolute delicious! This is my favorite so far but I thought the western bacon was also really tasty. I actually did have that high of an expectation since I thought to myself that its only sliders and can’t be that amazing. Wrong… these sliders are the TRUTH! So Flavorful! Overall for my two sliders it was 6 bucks or you can get the combo for 9 bucks with tots and a drink I believe. Actually I have a second regret… not getting the strawberry lemonade. Oh wells, just another excuse for me to come back next time they are near my work. I definitely have become a fan. This is my favorite truck so far in the area. I’d definitely come back even if they do take forever. PS sliders are 3 bucks each

The sliders are soooooooo tiny! Haha… I was not used to that. They have a combo for 2 plus one side and a drink and that isn’t enough for one person. Ordered 3 and have to say the Western was the best out of the PBJ and Cheeseburger. Next time I come, I’ll probably end up getting 4.

The Burnt Truck has been around the Orange County food truck scene since almost the beginning. Their specialty is making gourmet sliders, with their most popular one being the fried chicken slider: garlic potato spread on the base of the bun, topped with a piece of buttermilk fried chicken, covered in country gravy. The sliders make look small, but are actually quite filling. Two sliders plus an order of tater tots was a perfect lunch for me. Their menu is not just fried chicken, but other quirky creations, some which are seasonal. Check out their«sample» menu at By the way, if you check in on Unilocal, you get an order of tots for free! If you’re not into chasing food trucks, and prefer to sit down, The Burnt Truck teamed up with another OC truck: Dogzilla, creating their brick-n-mortar restaurant, Burntzilla This truck has passed the test of food truck time. They found a way to make sliders gourmet, and worth a stop.

My coworkers usually go to the Burnt Truck if it’s near so I decided to go with them to try it out! They have around 5 – 6 different sliders to choose from, but it changes around. You could either just get the slider by itself for $ 3 each or get a combo of 2 sliders, a side(tater tots or french fries), and a can of soda for $ 9. They have ketchup and other condiments on the side near the pick up window. What I got: Combo: Fried Chicken Slider, Roasted Pork Slider, French Fries, and Strawberry Iced Tea($ 10.50): Additional $ 1.50 for the Strawberry Iced Tea. They are known for their Fried Chicken Slider and that’s what my coworkers come here for. So I got one of that and it has mashed potatoes and gravy on top of a small piece of fried chicken and I can see why they keep coming back for this slider. Chicken was crispy and crunchy! But I personally liked the Roasted Pork Slider more which has garlic aioli, cheese, arugula, and a honey mustard vinaigrette. I thought it had more flavor than the Fried Chicken Slider. Will definitely get the Roasted Pork again when I come here. Strawberry Iced Tea is just ice tea with strawberry purée, very refreshing and worth it in my opinion. Service: One lady was taking the orders and 2 – 3 guys were in the back making the food. Lady was super nice and food came out fast. Finished paying and the food was out in less than 5 minutes!

But I Like It Burnt… Unfortunately, literal evidence of burn will be absent when you discover the fare from the elusive truck known as The Burnt Truck. But these guys are easy to find via Twitter and Facebook. And when you find the truck, expect to find an array of easy bites of sliders. Imagine yourself a giant and put four fingers around these mini burgers in the flavors of fried chicken, sloppy joes, beef dip, or my favorite, the spam and quail egg. Garnish with a side of perky tater tots and you have a tiny meal that calls for a second round.

Who doesn’t love The Burnt Truck? This is the OC original Gourmet Slider Truck and the standard set to all Burger Trucks in OC, LA and SD as they have been churning out the American street fare since the beginning of the scene’s existence. I can’t think of another truck that would dare trying sloppy joes, fried chicken, beef dips, cheese steaks, and meatloaf between buns, and usually hit a home run. In the event that you have never tried The Burnt Truck before, The Fried Chicken Slider is their stone cold lock. Buttermilk fried chicken, garlic potato spread and country gravy come together in a symphony of flavor in what may be my favorite recipe for food truck sliders. If it sounds like it wouldn’t work, trust… it does. Mated with Tater Tots, this is one hell of a lunchtime treat. Another of my personal favorites is the Cheeseburger. A no-nonsense Burger consisting of Angus beef, American cheese, grilled onions and in a nod to California(the sadly ubiquitous), avocado spread. These sliders are outrageously good. Other standouts include the(cliché at this point) Korean BBQ Burger(you will be shocked to find it has Short Rib on it) and the aforementioned Beef Dip. Many swear by the PB&J Burger, but I really didn’t feel it. I am not keen on the whole super sweet Jam on a burger fad that Slater’s seemingly turned into an OC rage. With so many other wonderful offerings this is hardly a problem. The food is very good, that is no question. That flavor combinations are getting a bit long in the tooth and I would love for The Burnt Truck to bring about the next«it» slider. That said, if The Burnt Truck is in the area, you are nuts to not seek them out. An OC classic.
