I was here for the first time last Monday. I didn’t want to deal with traffic. I’m very happy I stopped. I went in and had a great experience with Sibreena. I ran into her about a year ago at 3 Thirty 3. She gave me excellent service then and she did it again this time. She is absolutely amazing. Great friendly and attentive service with a smile and great communication. Getting ready to go in there again today after work. Thanks Sibreena

Great atmosphere for my buddy and I to just come, relax and enjoy a beer or two. Several TV monitors for games. Beer and wine only but I’m a beer drinker so it was just fine for me!

#greatfood Stopped in to check out a possible new show location (not the atmosphere) but was pleasantly happy with the food! Read the reviews and they are right the food is excellent! I had a very cold 805 (they have a temp gauge– 28.3) and a Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. My GF, Lisa had the Wyatt Earp (bacon burger with onion rings an BBQ sauce) I had a byte it was good too! Thumbs up!

Came here for lunch today and the food was EXCELLENT!!! The service was top notch from Sibreena. She was super sweet and very attentive. Going back for the great food and service from the hottie Sibreena.

The food here is beyond reproach i was pleasantly surprised! I came in with family and friends for a couple of drinks just to find that they somehow manage a full service restaurant out of a very small yet fully functional kitchen. Being a veteran of the food service industry i am keenly aware of the difficulties that stem from having to operate in a small environment… the chef here makes it look effortless. She manages to provode full service to a full house without diminishing quality of product. Instead of visiting any of those hooter/​kilt chain stores stop by the Dawg or Door for quality food and service!!!

Let me first just say that the pictures on Unilocal do not speak to how this establishment really is. The Salty Dawg Tavern is a very clean (seriously probably one of the cleaniest i’ve ever been to) bar. The food is also very good and has a microbrew/​artisan style to it. Hats off to the staff and cook– the service was very exceptional (thank you Jen!) and we will definitely come back again. Had the pastrami and sweet potato fries with some sculpin graprefuit ale. The beer on tap is amazing— a great selection of local brews. Though called the salty dog– this place has CLASS :)

Really??? so I stopped in on a Saturday night about 7:30. And the bartender is a guy!!! This was very disappointing, apparently the girls go home at 7 o’clock on a Saturday night everybody’s starting to show up about that time. I don’t know what the mentality of this owner is but I won’t be back. There are other bars that are open until 2 a.m. on a Saturday night. That are much closer to me, easier to get to. I really like to this bar until tonight. It’s all about the cold beer and the atmosphere yes the girls loom good, but seriously to ride 13miles in 58 degree weather to support your bar for the reason of a hot girl giving me a beer, and get there and A GUY is behind the bar, REALLY??? WTF??? You should have your man hood revoked!!! As the owner you should also be ashamed of yourself… This was a 2 star review, but now it’s a 1. LAME ASS TRIP!!! WASTE OF MONEY, BUT I HAD TO WARM UP BEFORE HEADING HOME!!!

Great food, great service, ice cold beer, and hot chicks. Can’t ask for much more. I have also had a few fantasy football drafts and they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend anybody in the area to try this place out.

The atmosphere was as expected. All the customers were guys and the girls were pretty and attentive.
The food was a surprise. The grilled cajun chicken sandwich was outstanding.

Luv this place. Great food and beer just not a bunch of women to chat with. Come on ladies try this place out.

Good People and Great Vibe all around. Nice to remember Veterans at a place like this that probably had several veterans in the house. Thank you. I ordered the black bean burger and potato salad. Definitely would order both AGAIN. Loved the consistency of the tater salad. So many are mushy, messy and over spiced. The burger was a bit wet perhaps only because of the grilled onions (nice surprise) Lauren and the chef ROCK! Happy Hour 5 – 7!

CLEANEST DIVE BAR!
So I get invited to a lunch at the Salty Dawg this week. I must admit upon arrival I was a bit concerned, but there was no getting out of this meeting.
After taking a seat we were greeted by a cutie wearing next to nothing. Still a bit thrown off, but what the heck she was super sweet and nice!
After the initial shock I started checking the whole place out and this is what I found…
1) Beers on Tap kept at 36 degrees or something like that. A brand new Ice cold Tap system.
2) A killer food menu of which I had the Cajun Chicken sandwich. Solid!
3) A new Touch Tunes system that played all the cool music tunes!
4) New flat screens on every wall in the joint!
5) WiFi with the password posted for easy access.
Essentially this place had things that every Bar and Restaurant should have and it was all easy to use, and see!
The Dawg is far from a Dive Bar, but has all the makings of a local hangout.

Decent little dive. Good beer on tap. Didn’t care for the location. Place gets an extra star because of the hot bartenders and their attire. Good service. Cool to watch sports I’m sure. Just had a quick beer before the game, but the menu looked and smelled good. So did the food…

Cold beer? Checked!
Good hamburgers? Checked!
Cool ambiance? Checked!
Beautiful sexy bartenders? Checked checked checked !!
This is the type of bar I’m always looking for, found one in Dallas and another in Phoenix, and finally one here.
This places are hard to find, this is your local biker kind of bar, neighborhood hole in the wall where the bartenders great the locals with a nice hug and a beautiful smile. Makes me want to be a local.
Beers are a cold as you could imagine, they have plenty on tab and some more in bottle and always very very cold.
As suggested by the bartender I ordered the chicken grilled sandwich… And it was dammed good!
I do t know about the rest of the food but after a fresh well cooked and savory chicken sandwich I guess it can be bad
I will definitely keep coming back

Came in on a Thursday for lunch and place was rocking. Better than Hooters or TK down the street if you like 3 things.
1. Good beer (I like ipa’s) drink specials all day happy hour all day.
2 pretty girls I would say on par with TK or Hooters I attached pics you be the judge. I think the service was better at salty dog
3. Food. My rib eye was reasonably priced and well cooked. Not a 5 star rib eye more of a supermarket rib eye but quite decent and decent size. Much better than the smaller more expensive flat iron steak at tK
I look forward to trying some of the best ther food here.

Went there for lunch on a Saturday. Only server was a pregnant girl. Food sucked. Over breaded onion rings and the inferno wings were the worst hot wing I’ve had.
Only good thing about the place is the cold beers. They had about 10 beers on tap. All of them were chill at 28 degrees.

A great old place to suck up some suds. Wanna watch the world cup game or just an angels game with your homies and not have to travel to far or worry about finding a seat? Pretty ladies serving you Ice cold beers. Why go any further?
Ok so it’s only a beer bar. But the atmosphere can’t be beat for a sports event or just a round of cold ones with your bros. This is a cool laid back joint where you can have a reasonably priced brew and a great lunch without busting your piggy bank. Oh and did I mention the sexy ass gorgeous waitresses that bust their ass for you? No shit you will never have an empty glass at the Dawg!
These girls hustle and don’t leave you with an empty mug and are a hell of a lot friendlier than the bitches down the street at the Kilt of Hooties.
Ok so I really come for the food! No Shit! The food here kicks some ass!

I came to the Salty Dog after a short ride to cooks corner. My friends have been here a few times and told me that the girls that work here are hit and the food is awesome. That was all I needed to hear.
I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad and it was amazing. Just enough chicken, wing sauce and ranch dressing. Actually I like my salads swimming in dressing so I went ahead and got a side of ranch for good measure.
My friends ordered the double cheeseburger which the seemed to enjoy and one of them also got the pastrami hot dog which was the special of the day.
We washed this all down with a pitcher of beer and headed to the next spot. Hopefully they open one of these in long beach cause Anaheim is a bit if a hike for me lol.
