Protect Your Home – ADT Authorized Premier Provider

Worst customer support I’ve ever experienced! My trouble light on my alarm keeps going off, because I had the main phone line shut off I’m guessing and there is no phone connected to the system any longer. So, I called ADT and asked them to schedule a service call and I’d pay the hourly fee. No, they can’t do that, they only service their contracted accounts and if I’m not contracted for their monthly monitoring, they won’t help me! Although I’ve had this alarm for years, and used to pay them their exorbitant monthly fees for years, they WON’T help me. So, I said to the customer service guy on the phone, I’ll have to reach out to Honeywell or Brinks, etc. he said your welcome to do that, it’s your equipment you own it, so feel free to contact another alarm company for service.
If they were to help me, they must upgrade my system with a new panel, and I have to be locked into a 2 year contract for $ 45 a month to be monitored! How crazy do they think people are, with their lousy customer service people to be locked into them for 2 years?
How’s that experience for horrible customer service. If I moved to another home and was getting an alarm system, ADT would be the last company I’d ever consider.

Initially I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews to use Protect Your Home. I am so glad I did not let it persuade me. I had an old archaic alarm system. Protect Your Home ADT Authorized Provider, installed a new system exactly per my request. They did not try to sell me something I did not need. The representative had his ID. He was extremely courteous and did an excellent job. I am very satisfied.

I’m posting on all protect your home Unilocal.Do not go with them. Fraud they don’t know they’re product. Trying to make me sound crazy, they say hello your breaking out. The didn’t leave signs had to call to get them to drop them off. I asked about a device they said they don’t have that. Ummm yes you do because my mom has ADT and that device. Find a different dealer call ADT direct. Yes I’m calling better business bureau. Im usually calm but protect nothing.

Got a quote and feel the rep was being dishonest i just dont believe with all the other bad reviews im going to use a different company

List of lies:
Cost– They advised I wouldn’t be charged for the installation, $ 103+ charged to my card. $ 33 and $ 37 charge again for pro-​rated two months in advance lol. Now I have to try to fight them to dispute the charges even though I cancelled during the three day right to recession.
Damage– They advised that there was no drilling of holes in my house at all what so ever. I have eight new holes on the inside wall of my home.
Cancellation appointment– the representative was four hours late to the cancellation appointment and gladly left the holes in my wall.
Beware– when the technician arrived he’ll do anything for you to not accept $ 36.99 monthly payment plan and say you won’t be covered as well with that cheap technology, «all a burglar has to do is cut your phone line.» He’ll do anything for you to agree to at least the $ 46/​mo plan.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Don’t recommend them at all!!! Don’t even bother talking to their employee Latoya!!! She is so rude and so ghetto! She talks over you and isn’t helpful what so ever!!! I’ve been trying to cancel for over 3 months now!!! And they keep giving me the run around!!! I’m so glad I have my new alarm company!!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ADT!

Adt sucks ass their customer service is terrible they take forever to help you on the phone they are good with selling the product but when it comes down to making sure your family is safe very careless people I would strongly highly recommend another company I had protect America they were much better

One of the worst experiences we had to deal with. A sales pitch that they never was fulfilled and now is impossible to solve. This is a warning to anyone who thinks they are dealing with ADT but they are not. we were promised the following: 1. Visa gift cards in the amount of $ 200.00 2. Senior discount on our monthly billing never able to get either.

This place is a total scam. The person they sent to my house was so rude! He said the «free» system was cheap and wouldn’t save us from anything. I was 8 months pregnant and he told me that I didn’t care about my unborn son if I didn’t upgrade my system and that I wasn’t thinking about my family. He was beyond rude and I really wanted a system up and running. We ended up using them and I paid $ 689 for a system and $ 49 for instal fee and $ 44.99 a month. To top this off I have never received the visa gift cards that I was promised. I even filled out the paper and sent a check. My check was cashed but never received a gift card.

The technician was incompetent. He wasted 5 hours in my home installing 7 wireless sensors. The sensors are misspelled on my keypad. He came unprepared and had to return with the thermostat that I requested.
I think he intentionally wasted my time so he would not have to pick up another job that day.

All I wanted was to get the generic «no other additional options» monthly cost so that I could compare the three product levels. The rep, that I online chatted with, gave me the price of the lowest level, but when I asked for the price of the other two product levels, he/​she said that a home visit would be required. I told the person I just want a «no additional options» generic estimate so that I can just compare their different level, and the person again said it would require a home visit.

Don’t use them. They string you along and lie to you. I give them negative 1 star. Tried to cancel after end of quarter billing. They say they will cancel the service but don’t tell you 30 days notice is needed. Twice we spoke to them and they said nothing until we got a letter in mail that we didn’t give 30 day notice. One time they sent a tech out to install new service and didn’t let me know ahead if time, then another time for a 6000 sq ft house they sent 1 tech to install. For a 1200 sq ft house they sent 2 guys, figure that one out. Incompetent techs. Even the salesman shows up late for initial appt-​said he was golfing. His name is Angel. He’s a typical scam salesman. Don’t use ADT-​they give you false sense of security. And we get overcharged twice in installations. They are crooks.

DO NOT EVEN CHECK WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER BEFORE YOU READ THIS
I had ATD alarm installed last week by Protect your home. The installer promised features that we needed but were not supported. He even forgot to connect a glass door sensor to the system. After 1 day we realized that there was no real support, missing features, and no reason to pay $ 50/​mo for 3yr, so we canceled. I asked them to send another installer for removal. Of course we got the same guy, not very friendly. In the short visit he managed to break a piece off our entry chandelier (while carrying a ladder), he left most of the doors and glass windows open or closed but unlocked (even when he did not need to touch them at all!!), and the one thing that I asked — not to cut short my wall wires from previous install, that he used, he did not bother unscrewing, just cut short — quicker).
After he left I call Protect Your Home and asked to talk to a manager. After waiting a while when the manager heard my complaint he said he would transfer me to someone to resolve it, but instead returned the call to the main entry selection.
Now I wonder why anybody would even consider working with these guys. I wish there was a way to give negative rates.

COLLECTION AGENCY PRETENDING TO OFFER ALARM SERVICES. Do NOT get this service!!! This company is horrible. The tech installed the keypad and never installed anything else but said they installed doors and windows and motion detectors. We tried to cancel and they refused to let us without paying a portion of the entire 1 year contract. I called their monitoring department b/​c collections doesn’t have access to the monitoring department and confirmed that they have received no signal after the day of installation but still don’t want to let us cancel. They call us all the time, harass us. I tell them things they don’t put in their notes. When I call it doesn’t go into their notes. After about 1 year of debating with them they sent us to the dispute department. The dispute department closed our file for no reason??? We are in dispute again. Maybe before my 5 year old graduates high school we will get this resolved. Until then, NEVER sign a contract with these people. All they are is a collection agency pretending to offer alarm services.

DON’T GET THEIR SERVICE!!! We tried to cancel their service and they wouldn’t let us because we forgot our password. They kept charging us even after we had disconnected them over a year ago.

684 complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau on these guys. The corporate office is located in Indianapolis, IN and I had the pleasure of wasting untold amounts of my time with them last week. BUYER BEWARE.
