If I could give no stars I would. I saw Dr. Halakis a few years back for my hand. He told me I needed carpal tunnel surgery and a trigger finger release. I trusted his judgement and went ahead with the surgery. The man operated on the wrong finger! There was no excuse for this he wrote on the correct finger. This doctor is arrogant and way too busy. Obviously he needs to slow down because it is affecting his judgement I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone.

I was treated by Dr Rubin &PA Summa. I am very happy I went to OSI and these two professionals. They are highly trained, very experienced and know how to fix your problem. In my case they were able to pinpoint my major problem, develop an effective treatment plan and avoid surgery. If you need orthopedic care, Dr Rubin, PA Summa and their assistant Hilda are an outstanding team who will fix your problem or refer you to other outstanding OSI team. You Can’t go wrong with the Dr Rubin team or OSI.

Good doctors but you better be prepared to wait. Average time here just waiting is over an hour.

I’m giving 3 stars: 1 star for the inconvenience and wait, 2 stars for the staff who were more concerned with a coworker’s birthday party and couldn’t care less about the inconvenience or the patients, and 4 stars for the doctor who was able to address our concerns and get my husband back on the road to recovery. Background: My husband injured his back on July 5. When it did not get markedly better, I made an appointment for him to see Dr. Deckey at OSI. After waiting literally two hours, we were finally graced with the doctor’s presence. Dr. Deckey seemed knowledgeable, and provided us with a rudimentary understanding of the issues affecting my husband. He prescribed medication which has provided much-needed relief and ordered PT and an MRI, which we have yet to schedule. Bottom line, the doctor was fine, but the wait was unacceptable. Making a patient with a bad back — a patient whose injury is exacerbated by sitting, walking and standing — wait for 2 hours, is a sign of an incredibly disorganized practice or a facility that intentionally overbooks to make more money. Either way, it’s obnoxious and completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, we’re kind of stuck, since my husband’s follow up care will likely require another visit which I’m already dreading. At least the doctor was okay.

There is no better place in the OC to bring a solution to your orthopedic injury. Caring staff and physicians who don’t make you feel like you’re just another patient in their day. The shoulder guy, Dr. Fischer, and Dr Peng, the foot/ankle guy, are two of my favorites!
