Muriyo’s Hair Studio

After trial and error of many salons in Orange County over the past few months since I’m new to the area and knowing my hair’s personality, this salon is great. It is on the reasonably priced side, but you get what you pay for. I’ve seen Giselle and she did a phenomenal job listening to what I wanted and keeping my end goal in mind. She was able to get rid of my nasty brassy blonde tresses and transition my dark blonde color down to a beautiful red. The hair products here and the experience has been great, and I hope to continue my visits there regularly.
Okay just an update. Giselle is hands down the best colorist I have ever seen. Incredibly competent, beautiful, and talented! I’ll never see anyone else. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!!! She did exactly what I asked, took her time, is a perfectionist and got my color perfectly. Thank you so much!

i came to get my hair platinum blonde went in the girl that helped me wasn’t to helpful she had blonde hair herself which that was a red light from the start. I told her how I wanted my hair she wasn’t to helpful on colors, instead she showed me a book w different hair colors, she was showing me gray color I was like wtf no I want it blonde I already had it blonde just wanted it lighter. She wasn’t charging me expensive but her not knowing her colors made me think twice. next day I went to my hairstylist she did charge more but on the 1^st time she got my hair platinum blonde, she knew her colors, and she was nice… I had to call back this place and telling her I couldn’t make my appt for the following week I was cancelling. she said do you want me to reschedule you I said no thanks.
I have to drive all the way from Anaheim to Downey but my girl does amazing work, and she knows what she is doing. I always see adds on facebook for this place.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I went in to an appointment @10 pm and the lady that was going to dye my hair told me I needed to wait until she’s done with her customers. So she didn’t take care of me until @11:06pm. Now, I went in to become a blonde, the turn out was just horrible. My hair was highlighter yellow. They bleached my hair 3 times! They completely fried the ends and their toner did not work! I walked out of there so dissappointed. They charged me $ 80 which is very cheap for their service but I think that signifies why they did a bad job. Always pay more for your hair, if it’s cheap you will get what you payed for :(
