This is one of my favorite restaurants! I’ve been coming here for the past 7 years Always excellent service, food is delish! I always get the trio — They make the shrimp skewers exactly how I like them and veggies are oh sooo good! Absolutely love this place!

The food is always amazing and the service is even better. Tonight, our server Ricky was on his game and was just the right amount of personable! Definitely one of my favorite places for seafood and sushi.

I’m usually big on seafood, but today wasn’t really the day for me to eat four to five crab legs with lemon juice or a cajun jambalaya. I had the sweet and spicy Asian calamari salad, and I was actually pretty damn surprised that the«lunch portion» of MB’s entrees turned out to be almost the size of a portion at dinner. The calamari itself had a nice crunch to it, and the salad itself was crisp and ice cold(well, not ice cold down to where it’s frozen, but you get the idea). The dressing on the salad was a bit skimped, but I was okay with it. Nothing bad to say about the service that day, though, so I’ll just leave this review here. :)

OMG this place is so good! I came on a Saturday night and my party opted to sit outside. But it wasn’t too bad because they have outside heaters. The place was busy but the service was really good. I got the Salmon stuffed with crab and it was DELICIOUS. There was a small mishap during dinner but our server was extremely polite and professional about it and made sure my whole party was well taken care of. I will definitely be back. All of the dinners were super yummy. The block has a lot of places to visit, but you have to try this place too !

I was disappointed that they only offered warm water oysters since this is primarily a seafood restaurant. The king crab legs & the chef’s veggies were a bit overcooked. The 2 fish dishes we had were very good and so was the bread. The music is too loud and too upbeat for this type of restaurant. I asked the server to change it but he said he could only turn it down but did not. The prices I paid made me want a finer experience.

Had fish and chips not bad until I found the hair on my plate:(My coworker ordered a to go box and when she opened it there was a HAIR in the box… really. We felt the manager should have tried harder to make a bad situation better, and he didn’t. I didn’t pay for my meal, but he could have offered a free meal or desert, I’ll never go back. If you eat there check your plate for hairs… yuck

After a busy weekend proposing to my girlfriend, and now fiancé, we were still celebrating. We were celebrating since we first met and that’s how its supposed to be. With a busy day at the local theme park, she wanted to celebrate the last of the weekend at a nearby restaurant. We love seafood and found this place because of Unilocal.I am not sure why we didn’t find this place a long time ago, but this visit was a very joyful visit. We dine at the Market Broiler at the Outlets at Orange. Located at the heart of the Outlets at Orange, you will find the Market Broiler. At first, you may think its a quick dining restaurant. Actually, its a full service with plenty of tables to serve your party needs. The Market Broiler does have a patio area with the view of shoppers walking by. We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated with a private view of the television. We just happened to be at the right time for SuperBowl 50’s Halftime Show. The manager of the evening was fun guy to watch throughout the evening. He made sure everyone was good and had fun with his employees. He let them watch the Halftime Show. Our host of the evening was Mr. Brandon. He was absolutely wonderful with our service from beginning to end. He was very cool with giving us complimentary Sourdough Bread… TWICE! He called me, «Boss!» at every table visit. The menu options are wide and are very seafood focus. However, they do serve the prime cuts of meat and have many selections to choose from. Mr. Brandon took our drink orders. Even before he took our orders, he poured us a glass of water from a glass bottle into a blue glass cup. Elegant I may say so myself. My Fiancé ordered a lemonade and I ordered a Shirley Temple. Sorry, I don’t have a price on this one. We were so hungry that we ordered a quick order or Chips and Salsa($ 5.25) right away. Its a simple appetizer, but I don’t see it being a $ 5.25 type dish. I see it more of a $ 3 – 4 type offer. The tortilla chips had different colors(red and green). The tomatoes from the salsa were separated from the hot sauce. It was interesting, but probably not a crowd favorite, just a filler meal. As I mentioned, the menu is filled with many options from land to sea. My girlfriend had set her eyes on the Shrimp Fettucini Alfredo and I had set eyes on the Classic Broiler Seafood Salad($ 15.95). The wait was about 15 minutes for the food. Mr. Brandon and the manager made sure we were OK and asked us about the SuperBowl Halftime Show. Again, it was very pleasing to see the manager let his staff watch for a few minutes before it got packed at the Market Broiler. Our food arrived a little earlier than expected. We were still munching on our appetizers and free bread. Mr. Brandon did apologized, but its rare to have fast service these days. That I can understand. So, we continued to enjoy our meal. My Classic Broiler Seafood Salad looks very delicious and filling. When I asked for extra Thousand Island dressing, they gave me more than I expected. They put the Thousand Island dressing in a gravy boat. The salad was amazing with the shrimp and crabs. It wasn’t over flooded with seafood. The seafood pieces were chopped well with the mixtures of the croutons, greens and Parmesan cheese. I loved the placing of the two sliced tomatoes at the edge of the plate. We were so hungry from a busy weekend that we were full! Actually, I kept going. I even tried a little of her Alfredo sauce. It was a little different, but she said it tasted like Alfredo sauce. I guess it tastes different when you put a tortilla chip and use Alfredo sauce as the dip. Then I used the Thousand Island. I was just in food coma after that. The Market Broiler is a great place to grab a bite. The competitors next door may be busy, but you are missing out on the Market Broiler. You get the vibe of the competitors, but you get the personal touch for your evening. Mr. Brandon did excellent for our evening and we are looking forward to another visit just because of the staff. Bookmark the Market Broiler and try it out. Its still better than most of the offerings at the Outlets at Orange. Unilocal…My passion is not to write my reviews, but to share my experiences with you. Take that journey and share your story.

Let me start off by saying how much I love The Market Broiler! I have been coming here since it first opened and have never been disappointed; until today. My boyfriend and I went to Burke Williams for massages and after decided to get lunch at The Market Broiler. Since their lunch menu is not available on Sunday’s we decided to split the trio combo. When looking at the side selection I noticed that it said«baked potato Friday — Saturday 5 pm to close» I instantly was excited because I love baked potato’s and it was Sunday! When I ordered a baked potato as one of my sides the waiter mentioned I could not have a baked potato because it was not after 5:00PM. I instantly was confused and mentioned what the menu stated. He of course did not have an answer for me. This to me is false advertising and it needs to be changed in the menu! It is ridiculous that the company would state«Friday-Saturday» and then not offer it on Sundays. Upon reading this it shows that you will not be able to order a baked potato before 5:00PM on Friday or Saturdays. So why wasn’t I able to get one today with my lunch?! Considering it was Sunday. If baked potato’s are not offered Monday-Sunday until 5:00PM then it needs to state«Available Monday-Sunday 5:00-close» this would lessen the confusion and ensure that customers are not upset.

While better than some chain restaurants there are still better places to eat good quality fish. We did really enjoy the service, space and ambiance, great for date night or drinks since they have some really good cocktail options. I had the salmon and while it was tasty, I have had better, portions are also pretty small. My husband had shrimp and enjoyed it, but also said he has had better. The veggies were good, again nothing special though. Not bad, but not worth rushing out of my way to come back for.

Soooo gooooods. Got the Crab Alfredo and they do not skimp on the crab meat. I don’t even usually like Alfredo sauce, but the sauce didn’t make me sick and the garlic bread it comes with is uhmaaaaaayzing. My boyfriend got the seared scallops and salmon and thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. The service was really good, our server was friendly and polite, though he did ask if we were ready to order and then disappeared after a while when we said yes. We just sat there looking at each other like soooo is he gonna come back and let us order? Lol No wait for two people at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and you can head over to D&B’s for drinks after.

When your experience is already amazing just at the free bread part, you know youre going to have one of the greatest dining experiences of your life! First time I came to this Market Broiler was with my brother and I was bowled over. So, I came a few times more and brought my cousin and then my friend. All the times we came, service has only been mediocre once. Food has always been on par. Seriously, the sourdough bread, best bread ever! I just can’t get enough. Ive also had some sushi rolls, the steamed clams, the salmon, clam chowder, and the southern fried catfish. We tried the calamari appetizers and the coconut shrimp. The only dish I wouldnt order againn would be the Salmon and only because it was a tad dry and the catfish was amazing. I now get it everytime. My fiancé loves the jambalaya. When it comes to the dishes, Ive had consistently great experiences but I do believe that everyones tastes and palates are different. Some like their clam broth more buttery or some like it bursting with wine. I think this place could satisfy just about everyones palate. I couldnt say for anyone else but Im so glad we have this Market Broiler here. My last visit was so perfect I had to finally write this review. The service was amazing, the manager saw how much we loved the bread he threw in extra in our to go bags. Lisa, our waitress was so thoughtful and helpful in making sure we had a great meal. I later ordered a to go dish for my fiancé and even the hostess was awesome in taking my order. So helpful with all my questions and she offered more bread! Im already planning my next visit≠)

I was pleasantly surprised of the good food/vibes of this place. THEMOOD: Friday nights usually means date night since it gives Andrew D. and I a chance to catch up from a long work week and just ease into the weekend from the hustle and bustle. I had no idea what I was craving, so our Friday night date plans started out a little something along the lines of: Andrew D: What do you want to eat? Me: I’m not sure, what do you want to eat? Andrew D: Phở?, Pizza?, Sushi? Me: No… I’m not feeling that. ***10 minutes more of Andrew D. listing ideas of what we can eat and me saying no*** Andrew D: What do you want to eat? Me: Anything is good with me. Andrew D: So WHATDOYOUWANTTOEAT? Alas, we found ourselves at The Block where we walked around and planted ourselves at the Market Broiler since it was the least busy out of all the restaurants there. We opted for patio seating, which was perfect for my people watching eyes. I also liked that it was heated and since it is still summer, the temperature was nice. The patio was dimly lit which gave for a more intimate feel. THEFOOD: The food was surprisingly delicious! And, if you’re looking for a restaurant that has it all for your fickle taste buds, this is the one. There are pizza options, pasta, sandwiches, fish dishes(of course), and even sushi! Sourdough Bread: I LOVED their sourdough bread. It came out on a mini cutting board with a dish of butter. The bread was WARM, the crust was crispy to perfection and soft and chewy in the middle. Garlic Fries: We ordered garlic fries as an appetizer and they do not skimp at all. It came out in a large bowl, plenty for us to indulge on and pick at throughout our whole meal. Coconut Shrimp: One bite of the coconut shrimp and I fell in love. The breading around the shrimp was fried to crispy crunchy perfection. The shrimp tasted firm and was piping hot. There was a sweet coconut dressing on the side for your dipping pleasure. You are also able to order 2 sides with your dish, so I got the garlic spinach and mac and cheese. Shark: Andrew D. was feeling adventurous and decided to get the shark. I have eaten shark before and have always thought it had too much of a tough texture, but was pleasantly surprised by how tender Market Broiler was able to get the meat. His dish also came with 2 sides and he got the same as me. The price for the portions they give you are extremely reasonable! THE ‘TUDE: Good service is so hard to find, but I am happy to report that Neftali provided excellent service from start to finish of our meal. His timing was perfect(meaning, he didn’t ask how we were doing while our mouths were stuffed with food), kept our drinks full, walked us through the menu, gave us his recommendations, was not pushy or made us feel rushed, and seemed to genuinely care that we had a good first experience. OVERALL: This is a great place to take a date, especially if you are able to get patio seating. Good food, great service, and even shopping afterwards will likely have me coming back here again!

This place is decent. I am a diehard seafood fan so when it comes to that, I can be a little biased. We’ve been here a few times usually after spending the day at Burke Williams. However our last visit here was not so great. We were sat down at our table and one of the bread plates were dirty! There were pieces of food still on there. Not only that but my sister had food poisoning the next morning and I’m not too sure if it was from dinner here or something else. I probably would only consider this place as a last option.

Went shopping at the Block. Was debating which restaurants to go to for dinner. Saw the 2 courses with sea bass poster outside and we decided to try it. Overall service and food were good. The food was on the saltier side. The warm bread was a big plus. The clam in white wine sauce was salty. But the broth was tasty and we finished two portions of warm bread with the broth. Yum! Hubby really like his clam chowder and sea bass, even commented it was one of the better ones that he had. We lived in San Francisco and had our share of chowders. The sea bass was good, even I like it :) I had the two items combo with snow crab and halibut. The halibut was too dry for me. The snow crab was decent. Good quantity, fair quality. I would go back again.

The Block doesn’t have the best food/dining options so my co-workers and I frequent Market Broiler whenever we want to branch out from the hospital cafeteria or Corner Bakery. It’s an okay place to eat IF you choose wisely. The lunch salads at Market Broiler are a safe bet. I had the Mariner’s Cobb Salad and it was worth the price(~$ 12). It came with plenty of seafood and fresh veggies. The salad was large enough for me to eat again for lunch the next day. Another good deal at Market Broiler is the petite lunch combo(~$ 9). The combo includes a cup of clam chowder, a dinner side salad and a drink. This option is great if you are looking for a light lunch. A HORRIBLE choice to make at Market Broiler is to order the poke(~$ 12). It is drenched in soy sauce, extremely salty, and the portion is abysmal. Super disappointing… Make good choices if you dine here and you will be ok.

The harvest of the sea pasta is TOTALLY worth it for lunch($ 12.95) with enough leftovers for dinner. Plus the free bread is warm and delicious! I would NOT recommend the Poke. Extremely salty, does not seem fresh, and an ok to smaller portion. Service is alright, not too spectacular. A good place for some lunch in the area.

We have been going to the Market broiler in HB but we had bad service the last 2 times so we decided to try the one in Orange, the Outlets, wow, what a difference, we had top notch service from this wonderful friendly lady, her name is Carmela, she deserves recognition. Carmela was friendly and so fast, she made amazing drinks too when she filled in as a bartender. We had shrimp Yucatan, it was the best I ever had, it is too bad this is no longer offered on the happy hour menu. We had the fisherman stew and it was even better than what we had in Maine, the seafood was so fresh, the taste was tantalizing, it was a huge entrée, served on a stainless steel pan. Their Wednesday and Thursday specials are absolutely delicious. Wish this restaurant is closer to our house, we would be hanging out there everyday if we could!
