I’ve had skin concerns for years. I had a friend who’s been a client of Dr. Butani recommend that I visit. I am very pleased with her approach to treatment. The results I have had have been spectacular and I can’t be more pleased.

I have been coming to Dr Butani for a little over 3 years now. She has an amazing bedside manner & her staff are incredibly sweet. I first came to her for a medical reason however she is now my go to person for all things cosmetic! She does a fantastic job of making you look refreshed as opposed to frozen. Thanks to her handy work I’m asked quite often what I use to make my skin look so soft… it’s the Botox & fraxel. She always has her patients best interest in mind which makes these procedures much more comfortable. Thank you for making me feel beautiful Dr Butani!

I have had a similar issue with the billings that several have mentioned below. Dr. Butani’s staff says that a hyperpigmentation was a cosmetic issue and not covered under insurance, then has the nerve to say that I need to pay because my insurance won’t cover a portion! It’s very frustrating because it doesn’t make any sense and you have to fight with them every time about stupid stuff when their office should just be organized and more professional. They said they will research the issue and call me back, but I still haven’t heard anything yet, I will post an update once I hear something from them.
Update: Dr. Butani’s office called me back a few days later, not too long after and resolved the issue for me in a pleasant way.
However, I want to make it clear that Dr. Butani is an EXCELLENT doctor. She diagnosed an injury on my wife’s skin, and provided fast and effective treatment that got us perfect results, leaving no side effects, and glowing skin!
Same with me, she performed operations on my skin, and she solved my issues much more effectively than other doctors. As far as a dermatologist, she is truly wonderful. In my case, it was worth dealing with all the administrative hassle, but hopefully she has them fixed by now as I know she has a lot on her plate with a massive new office and speaking engagements and seminars.

I’ve had a variety of skin problems my entire life, ranging from Accutane-​level acne to seborrheic dermatitis, so finding a dermatologist that can handle my skin issues has been an enormous challenge for me. Thankfully, Dr. Butani is the best dermatologist I’ve found to date. She recommended a line of skincare products I use every day. She’s removed multiple pre-​melanoma lesions on my skin, and she always consults with me about what she wants to do and if/​when it should be done. She’s recommended a variety of products for my scalp which have seemed to work wonderfully. And, last but not least, when I had an emergency skin problem, she made time for me to come in the same day to have it resolved.
She is very patient and has always made sure we come to the best decision for my skin health, and she’s also very personable and engaging when I’m in for my visits. Her new offices are really nice. I’ve been going to Dr. Butani for 2 and a half years, and I strongly recommend her as an outstanding example of a professional yet down-​to-​earth dermatologist.

I’ve had great visits at Dr. Butani’s office, both for myself and my daughter. We both have had laser hair removal treatments done. We both have a low tolerance for the minor laser pain and the staff has put us at ease and been very patient with us. I will definitely continue going to this practice for any future derm needs and would highly recommend it. Billing & payment haven’t been an issue at all. :)

I was referred by a friend to visit Dr. Butani’s office. I’ve been going to see her for around 3 years. She’s always so friendly and happy. She’s been great with my laser hair removal and with my son’s acne issues. She takes time to hear concerns and offers excellent advice. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen and her waiting area is comfortable with plenty of reading materials and tv to keep my kids busy. I’ve never had billing issues and her staff has always been upfront with what is covered and what isn’t with insurance. I’ve been so happy that I’ve recommend my friends and their kids to start seeing the doctor.

Dr Butani treated my 8yr old daughter for vitiligo. I was so worried about her skin because it was on her face & didn’t want her to have to deal with teasing etc. Dr Butani was so sweet to her and took the time to look at her skin and ask my daughter questions. She recommended OTC cortisone 2x/​day. I had some at home so I did that and it went away; in a week! My daughter was so happy & I was so grateful.
I have also had fraxel laser done here, the staff is sweet, the procedure was very tolerable & the results were radiant. She’s a great doctor, very caring, and I loved that I didn’t have to wait forever :)

Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Butani. I visit her office for two warts on my hand and she was not able to cure them. After a couple of visits, she told me there was nothing she can do. Now I am seeing another dermatologist who is offering me several different options for the warts.

I had 2 different appointments with this office. The first did not go smooth at all this office and it staff things to be more concerned with making money then providing patients with good care and I notice that from. the start. My first appointment was of big confusion and I had to go back and forth with the receptionist regarding my copay which. had been met as she still. tried to say they were going to charge and
. It took quite.a.while and was quite ordeal just to deal with this 1 also have to do was go online I make a phone call and find out this information for herself. The whole office just pushes product. The entire entry and waiting room is filled with products to purchase and services for you to buy. Did not feel like I was going into a medical practice… But more of a where I had been pushed to buy products. The staff did not make me feel comfortable while they were in their room during the check up. They also kept coming in and out and there was so many interruptions. The doctor seems nice enough and sent me away with an appointment for a corn that have persisted for over a year on my foot. After using that pointment for some time I called back to make an appointment before I was to leave on a month long trip. I also recently found out I’m pregnant and wanted to see her regarding any other concerns I had. With limited time and
do before leaving for my trip in a couple days… I made an appointment. I had a prior appointment in south orange county so drove over 30 minutes to come to the appt. As soon as I walked in the front desk elected to tell me at that point that my insurance was no longer accepted which was Blue Shield she said that the visit would cost me approx $ 100 out of pocket. This is absolutely ridiculous I’ve met my deductible for the year and have had no copay or anything I’m here this office is telling me after I arrive that I have to pay 100 to see the doctor information they could have told me when sucking my appointment and giving you the option before I wasted a whole few hours on this. They are so unprofessional. I then ask if they could just ask the doctor if I should. resume.the.ointment. Which I paid a pretty penny for​.since​.it
doesn’t seem to be working… And they said that I will have to pay a hundred to find out. Absolutely ridiculous. One of the worst experiences I had and one of the most unprofessional doctors offices. Oh and one last thing even though my insurance covered everything originally they still made me put a credit card down. It was ludicrous. I am making an appointment to do an entire check up elsewhere and repeat that procedure since I don’t trust. that even my check up was.done.accurately. choose. another place to go. Save yourself the headache

Made an appointment here for dermatology on the recommendation of a friend. The office is nice and the staff seemed friendly.
After filling out the firms, I was asked to provide a credit card to keep on file. I have really excellent private PPO insurance. Providing a credit card is not something I do, ever since my old MD made some unauthorized charges to the one she had on file. I was informed that if I did not give them a credit card number, they would charge me the full office visit ($ 132!!!) and I could get reimbursed from my insurance. I pay big bucks for this PPO so that I only have a $ 20 copay and no deductible. So why would I pay UP FRONT?
I explained that I do not do this and why, but they said it was one or the other, so I walked. Really, really poor office management. It’s not like I live in a one horse town. There are a zillion derms in OC, so I will be taking myself to one who can provide more reasonable service to their patients.

Dr. Anjali and her staff are amazing and tentative! The skin store has a great selection of brands and her team know the product well. They ask the right questions to ensure I get what I need and not just selling me something, to make a sell. I am a loyal patient and customer for life!
