I had Lumpia and Pad Thai. Very friendly staff and great food. Also the Thai Iced Tea is delicious. Not too sweet and refreshing. They have a military discount. I’ll definitely be back.

Great fresh Thai food reasonably priced(very reasonably) clean, caring staff, for some reason I found many other Thai restaurants snobby, not here. By far the best tasting Thai food in town.

The food is delicious and I’m a hard a critic. Very clean, small unpretentious restaurant. Favorite dishes so far are The Tai Sweet & Sour, the Drunken Noodles, the Pad Tai, and the Tai fried rice. Can’t wait to try everything else in the menu.

Excellent food and customer service. I live not far from here on the Mandarin side and wanted to try somewhere different. The last Thai restaurant wasn’t that good, but this one is very good.

I discovered Manila Thai about a year ago when my boss brought me for lunch. Very simply, the food is fantastic. I’ve been regular customer for lunch and dinner throughout the past year. I’ve gotten to know the head chef/owner and the staff. Manila Thai is a locally owned restaurant and I prefer and support locally owned restaurants compared to corporate owned chains. Service is always courteous and prompt and the varieties of dishes are freshly prepared. My favorite dishes are the Massaman Curry and Beef Broth Phở with Udon Noodles. As of late with cooler weather, I’ve been dining here at least once or twice a week. The menu is a very good representation of Philippine and Thai cuisine as well as mix of cuisine from other countries in the region. There have been times when I arrived where the place was literally packed and people waited in line. This didn’t upset me in the least because that is a superb indication of how good the food is. It is definitely worth the effort and time for a visit.

The best pad thai I’ve in Jacksonville! The staff was extremely nice too. Try the 2 for $ 20 special they have during the week!

This place was small and okay. I have definitely had better filipino food for a cheaper price. i could not believe I spent so much money just for two people. Where I am from I get to dishes and some rice for $ 5. In Manila Thai I spent $ 40 for two people. I really do believe there are better spots out there. They barely had filipino food. It was more of thai than everything. The service is good until they get busy, but other than that I wouldn’t go there again.

Food was good. Service was absolutely dismal. I was very disappointed and had to get my own refills. Had to ask for my utensils. Menus. even if I had to seat myself. I was really unimpressed by this place I’ll probably just get it to go next time.

Can’t pass a Thai resturant, and glad I stopped. The shrimp spring rolls were awesome and enjoyed the Larb Gai. Worth stooping by, and a 10% discount if you are staying in a nearby hotel.

Delicious Pad Thai and Sinigang na hipon! Best Phil/Thai food we’ve found in Jax area as yet. Small, very clean, quiet and no kitchen odors or loud banging on pans. Some background music would be better though! Large menu selection, big portions, & a nice and attentive server thanks Danielle(big plus as I don’t that in a lot of SE Asia restaurants). Most entrees in a reasonable 12 to 18 dollar price range. Food served in 20 minutes on a Sat night at 7:15. No wait for table. Family themed as opposed to a chic sushi place which is fine by me! Bonus — could chose level of spiciness from none, little, medium or a lot, also shows all fresh made to order. 7 – 8 Asian beers including San Miguel at just $ 4. perfectly met expectations!

I am visiting JAXNAS and I found this place and thought why not. A mix of Thai and Filipino Food. We came in and it was not busy. The girl serving us was nice and friendly. We ordered the 2 for $ 20 and got Green Curry with Chicken and the Rice noodle dish that comes with Brown Gravy. Sorry I forgot the name. We also ordered ½lb of Lechon Kawali. Everything tasted great and was served quickly. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was because I ordered Thai Tea boba and it was super sweet and the Boba was not cooked evenly. Half my boba was not cooked so it had the flour substance in the middle. They also offer military discount and I didn’t catch it until we got into the car and saw the sign!!! Damn it! Good place I just won’t order Boba again.

I sped to Manila Thai during my 2:30pm lunch break, knowing it would take me 12 – 15 minutes to get there and 12 – 15 to get back. That left me with roughly 30 minutes to spare while there. When I arrived there were quite a few people in the place already. Half of guests were eating in and the other half looked like me; time-pressed workers waiting for their orders. I was concerned about the wait time at first, only because the server was not in any shape or form reflecting my polite urgency. Was she polite? Sure. Professional? Most definitely. Moving at a speed that suggests she cared? Not at all. She may have been suffering from a hangover or general lack of sleep. She was simply very slow in her movements, some might even say casual and calm though I am thinking nonchalant. I asked her with a smile if she could tell me how long it might roughly take for my order and she said she didn’t know but would check. She then turned around and started chatting with one of the guests who I assume she knows personally. She forgot about me the second she turned around. No worries. I patiently waited for exactly 8 minutes, received my order and left. Not bad! Since I had not been to this place before, I went with the safe choice and had Chicken Pad Thai — medium spicy(was happy to hear the option of spice level when ordering). It was delicious. I have had this dish quite a few times in my life and this was the best one so far. The flavors were perfectly blended and balanced. Every bite tasted fresh. The chicken was tender and the veggies were just a little crunchy. Perfect. The spice level was exactly at medium so I added some Sriracha when I got home. I had to share it with my sis, as the order was under 10 dollars and could easily feed two to three people. I will be going back, and soon. I love it!

This small, clean and very friendly restaurant is nothing short of amazing. The food is authentic, well presented, fresh and«tastes great»! The staff is very friendly as is the owner, Anthony, who I had the privilege of meeting last evening. I have dined all over the world(including Manila) and usually am disappointed when it comes to supposedly authentic cuisine. In this case, I was very pleasantly surprised. And, the prices are reasonable. Though I don’t drink, their beer selection is very popular(judging by all the tables that were enjoying the beer!). But, it is the food that will have me as a regular. I have found a new place to dine and my recommendation and endorsement is totally unsolicited. Usually businesses only get reviewed when people want to complain or whine. Do yourself a favor and visit this unpretentious restaurant. You will be glad you did!!!

This was our first visit to Manila Thai and it was a very good one, if they had Halo Halo on the menu I would have tossed in the extra star! We had the Pad Thai with beef which was excellent with very tender beef. Next time we will order it with the mild or medium spice for a little kick. The Lumpia were very good with the beef ones being the best, The shrimp Spring rolls were good with tender shrimp but a bit overstuffed and could have used a slightly thicker wrapper to hold them together. The Adobo pork was eye popping good, probably the most tender and flavorful that I have ever had. Our server was very pleasant and on an early Saturday they were quite busy, even so we were served promptly.

I stopped by for a To Go order of the seafood soup medium spice. The flavor was amazing but I felt like there was more veggies than seafood and it cost extra for a side of rice which it would have been nice if it came with it. The restaurant is set up like a small café style. Nothing fancy but a nice casual spot to get the Thai food fix.

The goal of this night was to eat as light as possible because I didn’t want to be full the rest of the night. Then when my friend as me if I liked Thai, without hesitation I said«YES!». She suggested this place off of Wells road which was close by to the event we were attending later on that night. She had only been there once before but said it was really good. The place wasn’t hard to find, but the parking lot was a little busy because of the bike show going on. We walked inside and sat ourselves down at a table. The place is small but cozy and clean, with a few other people eating their dinner. We didn’t have to wait long for service as the waitress came right over as we sat down. My friend and I couldn’t decide on what we wanted so our waitress recommended the 2 for $ 20 special, one appetizer and two entrees. We agreed on that. We got the appetizer of 2 beef lumpia, something we both love. The lumpia only came with beef or pork and I’m used to it not having any meat in it. No matter, it was delicious. I ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken. I’ve only had this type of curry from a local food truck and that was very good so I figured what da heck, it should be as good. Boy, it was! It had snow peas I believe and green peppers which isn’t what I had before, but it was a nice addition. Made me feel better because I was eating some kind of veggies. My friend had the Pad Thai with chicken and the mildest spice possible. Hers came garnished with limes which gave it a unique flavor when she let me taste it. We both were full after finishing our meals. The waitress was kinda enough to split the check for us so we both gave her a good tip. I thank my friend profusely for her recommendation as the entire experience was great. If I’m ever on the side of town, I will definitely be back.

If the food makes me feel closer to home then something was done right. The lumpia and pork BBQ was my favorite. Pork chops were perfectly grilled, my 4 year old loves it.
