Fleming Island Choice Meats

I remember this place from maybe 15 – 16 years ago. When we were working in the area. We used to stop in for some sausages and stuff for lunches. Another friend of mine called me for some advice on smoking some very expensive hunk of meat. He told me what he got and how much he paid for it. So I just had to check this place out. For that m, such money this better be one heck of a chunk of meat. Well I walked on and the place is still small but had some pretty tasty looking meats. They even have some of their smoked house made sausages on the counter. The lady behind the counter asked me of I wanted a sample piece. Of course I did so I went for the chicken. I will say that it was smokey and I liked it. The spice package was kind of plain of you ask me. They also have some pork sausages that are spicy, mild and regular blends. In all just kind of like you would get anywhere else that offers house made sausages. My only questions is why do people who make sausage to sell make 1, 2 maybe 3 types and leave it at that. There is no brats no kielbasa and no Italian styles either. Oh well I guess I will keep making my self and a close nit of friends happy.

Its more than choice cuts inside! I have fallen in love with the prepared fresh salads they offer at $ 4,99 lb. as well as the boxed meats specials. Their link sausage delightfully smoky and a steal at $ 5.99 lb. Their meat cuts are vibrant in color and cook up in perfection. They are a little hidden but a well worth found gem.

The selection was huge! The staff wAs friendly and helpful with lots of recommendations! Everything was fresh, good quality and well priced! WILL BE BACK!

This is a great place to get meat! Great butcher. They also offer smoked meats and they make their sausage. Italian sausage is great! You can also get sides like stuffed mushrooms and twice baked potatoes. They also have a small gourmet shop. Great people. Support this small local family business!
