Nick & Van Nails

I’m updating from my last review because I want to call attention to the person who did my nails today. His name was Ben. Of all the people who’ve done by nails here he was the most personable and the least pushy about upgrading my nail services. He would check and make sure I liked what he was doing and was just a nice presence. He did a great job on my nails especially since
My engagement party is this weekend. Overall I used to frequent this place more out of settling but today changed that because he was great! I got a gel manicure with acrylic add ons for $ 45. Very happy with them!

This place is ridden with health violations. I can’t comprehend how they stay open and get away with it. Staff don’t speak English and are very obviously talking about the clients right in front of them. I WOULD NOT recommended this place to anyone.

Worst service! Called and said I didn’t need appt so I walked in waited over an hr NOT ONE PERSON helped me.

After over 10 years of being in a loyal relationship with my nail technician I decided that I deserved better and needed to branch out and explore my opinions. I have now found true nail-​love and am happier than ever. Benjamin at Nick and Vans does an outstanding job and I highly recommend him!

Love this place!!! They get things done quick but it’s not rushed at all!!! What I really like most is that they constantly ask you for your opinion. They want their customers to be satisfied and happy with the nails they do!

Horrible. Half assed manicure. Thankful I didn’t he gel. My nails look awful. Will never go back.

I have gone here multiple times to get my nails done, and they usually come out pretty good. The prices are average for the area. I went with a friend one time, it was her first time there, and her nails came out TERRIBLE. They were done by a woman who is the one who usually has appointments only since she does specialty manicures, but she must have rushed through my friend because she didn’t even touch up her cuticles. my friend was a walk-​in and the woman had an appointment coming up, so she rushed through the set. Every nail was crooked and unevenly filed except for the thumbs, and they were not even smooth on the top. None of the nails matched each other. My friend asked for a simple rounded gel tip set, and what she got looked nothing like she had asked. I felt terrible bringing her here since they have always done my nails pretty good! My nails have always come out nearly perfect, and the staff is always so nice. They take care of you quickly as well. Parking is difficult though, there are barely any spots in front of the salon. I have no complaints except for that one issue.

I went here to get my nails done for prom and I loved it. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and it cost me $ 43 which is an average price around this area. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by someone and was asked to put my name down on a list. I then went to go pick out colours. The same guy who greeted me helped me find matching colours for both gel and regular nail polish which was very helpful!
The lady who did my pedicure was very nice and talked to me here and there while she was working.
The guy who did my nails was named Jason and he was fantastic. I came in with already very long nails and he knew exactly what I wanted just by looking at them. He worked very well always checking with me if it was okay and what I wanted. When it came time for colour I showed him a picture and explained a few modifications and when he was done he got it spot on! I was very pleased.
I didn’t use this but they also have an airbrush station there so they can literally do anything with your nail design.
The only annoying is the parking lot is pretty small but there’s a restaurant next door which I’m pretty sure people park in for the nail salon.
Overall very happy with my experience!

Love Van and Jen I’ve been a costumer with them back when Nick and his wife used to run the place, so about 5 years now. Obviously there can be long waits but that’s why I make appointments and I never have an issue. Jen does my nails and Van does my mothers. We like Mary and Patty who do the pedicures very nice ladies and do a good job waxing eyebrows! Love this place

Love this place. They get right down to business. No fancy décor and music. Just fast and amazing nails. I had a UV back fill with fancy air brushing, I was in and out in less than 40 minutes with excellent results, without feeling rushed and plenty if time to get the kids. If you tell them the color of your dress for a special occasion, they’ll do something wonderful. Its always pleasant experience. Never a language barrier. Prices are very reasonable.

Unfortunately, I do not think I will be coming back here. I made an appointment for my mother and I we arrived had to sit only for a few minutes. They called me first then after 10 minutes of my mom sitting and waiting I asked if they were going to take her and they told me no it was too late. WHAT! I had made an appointment for BOTH of us, also I had made the appointments for 2 manicures and pedicures I was only able to get my manicure. This was extremely frustrating and I will be on the hunt for a new salon in the area yet again :(
This salon only caters to their regulars unfortunately, treating new clients this way will not make them regulars unless you have high tolerance for unprofessionalism which I personally do not, especially when I am paying for a service.
