Service was excellent, food was delicious until I found a hair in it. I asked for the manager to tell him and his response was with a smile and said it happens. I begin to tell him it shouldn’t happen and it’s not a joke. I then ask for his managers name and he starts getting angry trying to justify the hair in the food.
Long story short, the waitress’s were excellent, food had hair in it and management definitely needs a change. There was no apology or anything.

Local diner with great customer service and fast. Was visiting the area and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. The food was of good quality and tasted great. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

I love this place my fav the San Franciscan Burger! They also have great service specially Jeronimo he’s always very pleasant and makes sure my order is 100% accurate! Thank you Jeronimo.

If you want a good solid American diner experience then Spires is the place to go. I ordered the house omelet which came with tomatoes, avacado, onion, and mushrooms. You get an option of home fries or hash browns and if your smart you will get the home fries because they are delicious and the come seasoned with bell peppers and some onions. The breakfast also came with toast.
Service was great very nice waitress and busboy … my coffee was never allowed to empty or grow cold.
Why 4 stars you may ask? Salsa (which is so important to a happy omelet experience) was not spicy at all. .kind of bland… I think it is that way though because of the more mature crowd that frequents this establishment.

Restaurant is OK. My employer sent me here on expense acct, wouldn’t have gone there otherwise. Food and service were OK every time. Lots of food. Nothing to write home about but it was good and not expensive. Typical Denny’s style restaurant.

Plenty of good food for the price. You can’t go wrong with breakfast all day. Good service too. I will definitely be going there more often

Easily accommodated my party of 13 with excellent customer service and delicious food. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

As soon as we walked in we were seated. Although it was packed they still have pretty good service. The food came out really fast for a fine in. Which is a good thing. The service is great. They made sure we were okay even if it was packed. Overall food was good, service was great, waiting was fast.

Was in the area and wanted something that didn’t come in a wrapper. This place was down the street from where we were staying. While its older, everything was clean. Including the visible parts of the kitchen. The staff was very busy, and the customers were generally friendly. Food was good. My only regret is that we didn’t go back for breakfast the next day. I’m not in the area much, but will be back if in the area.

Great food and very friendly staff, not many diners like it around anymore. They have quick service and family owed definitely worth the stop.

Nice location on the corner beside Ontario airport, the tuna melt was good and had a good portion of tuna. The French fries were bland even with salt, portion size was good. The service was fast and friendly and the resteraunt was clean.

This place is bomb good food good prices.

Food was tasty and the price was decent. You get a lot of food for the price. Service was a tad slow but it was a Sunday and they are very busy. Food was worth the wait.

First time here.
Friday 9am.
Not too crowded but they had about 20 – 30 customers.
I really got that classic American diner.
Great customer service.
Old but clean restaurant.
Good location.
Plenty of parking spaces.
Affordable prices.
Home style omelet was okay, but it was nice to have that piece of avocado.
Fried zucchinis were cut too thick.
I would definitely come back to try more food from the menu.
Also, I really love the customer service!!!

Close to work, I come here frequently. It’s definitely a value restaurant, but you get a good return on what you pay.
FOOD: Let’s get this over with… it’s a coffee shop and similar to a Denny’s, but I prefer it over Denny’
far. The food is made from scratch at the restaurant… salad dressings, mashed potatoes, soup, etc. Now it’s not gourmet by far, but it’s solid, good food that is satisfying and tasty.
You can’t go wrong if you have breakfast… all the favorites.
There are daily specials (see menu on wall) as well as specials on an easel when you enter. The dinner specials usually come with soup, salad and desert… and the prices are $ 8.99 to $ 11.99…what a deal.
SERVICE: Very friendly staff who now recognize us as regulars, and they always greet us warmly. There can be times when they get extremely busy… they’re near several hotels and the Ontario Convention Center, so it can be crowded… but this is not the norm. Overall, they are prompt and courteous (⁹⁄₁₀). Food comes out as requested (⁹⁄₁₀) and always hot.
BTDT: Because they are convenient in location and hours, I frequent Spires. It’s a simple in/​out, and sometimes I don’t want to pay high prices… sometimes meatloaf or a sandwich or even a cheap steak for $ 9.99 will do it. BTW, I love their Chili Size.
OVERALL: Great value place… you get far more than you pay for, so don’t complain. Enjoy the cheap eats and nice staff.

They made us wait 19 minutes they sat a group of 4 and a group of 2 and 3 people, they ignored us when our party was also 3 people!!!
I did noticed that the people they sat to eat before us,
Well I guess they knew them because the lady server called them by name, an where all highs and kisses .
My Kids where really disappointed because they really wanted to try I placed around there new home…
You guys should be ashamed of your service.

It’s like a Sherries meets Denny’s but in a home cooked kind of way?
The décor is mega old school… slightly run down… and there are mostly senior citizens in the tables. We decide to give it a whirl since we were starving and it was a short walk from our hotel.
+1 for an inexpensive menu! Most items were under $ 10 and you get plenty to eat. There are also a ton of options including breakfast at all hours.
+1 for some home cooked food. My burger/​sandwhch was pretty big and more than enough to eat. I opted for the zucchini fries and those were quite tasty.
+1 for friendly service. They came to check on us a couple times and provided free refills.
Had to minus a couple stars as the service was SLOW. It wasn’t overly crowded and yet it took at least 25 minutes after ordering to get our food.

Hadn’t been here since September of 2007 so today I figured I’d give it a try again.
The food was pretty good, I had a traditional breakfast, eggs over medium, crispy bacon, hash browns, and biscuit & gravy. The food was prepared as ordered but the biscuit seemed stale and the gravy was a bit cold. Other than that, it was good. The service was great, the food was quickly prepared, and the prices are very affordable.
