Thought I’d give this restaurant another try but I was obviously wrong, The food here used to be really good. But now under new management this food is below subpar. Won’t be coming ever again. Our server never came back to our table to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything

Stop here for a quick lunch on the way out of town. It took a bit to have all eight of our orders made. But we were pleasantly surprised at the size of what we got. I got the Chinese chicken salad and it was great. The rest of my family got their bowls and they were good as well. The main chef here went to the Portland culinary Institute. You can tell by the fact that my dressing was from scratch as were the other sauces for my family’s bowls. We didn’t have any sushi so I can’t comment on that. I definitely would recommend this place

Decent food at a non-chain restaurant in a small town was a nice find. The miso was fair and mafu chicken was good… both were large servings for a appetizer. The chicken would have made a full meal. We had two sushi rolls which had good flavor. While this wasn’t the best sushi I’ve had, it was good enough to recommend someone eat here rather than any of the chains.

Nice little place. The interior of the restaurant could be redone needs a new paint job for sure. But the lighting is right. The waitress was really knowledgeable about the food and friendly. I got the Mafa chicken combo bowl with half rice and half noodle. Everything tasted extremely fresh and cooked perfectly and it was absolutely delicious, I will definitely be back to try the Sushi. Prices were very reasonable.

Good for Ontario standards, but compared to other areas and it’s Teriyaki, I’ve definently had much better.

Totally acceptable sushi, given the area, albeit a little pricey. The mafa chicken is the best thing on the menu. Pretty decent wine selection too. The bar area is nicer than the main restaurant. Totally unrelated, but funny observation: The ladies room has 2 toilets and no stalls, so you and your friend can maintain eye contact while you do your business(you know us girls can’t go alone).

The food isnt bad but the sushi rolls are tiny. So you have to order at least two to feel satisfied. And its about 10 $ per roll. Which means $ 20 for yourself alone before drinks and tip. The waitress was definitely lacking on social skills. No personality, didnt check on us, started reaching over us to pick up straw wrappers before we were all even finished eating. Oh and the bathroom? There’s two toliets in one bathroom. Also theres a bar connected. This place is just a complete mess.

Might give it a 1.5 stars if it existed, but 2 would be too much. Knowing this was Ontario, Unilocal gave this place 3.5 stars. Went there during the last part of the lunch hour. Inside is a bit shabby. Not a Japanese face anywhere. Help was one poor guy who had to take order, serve and collect money. As a consequence serve was slow and desultory. I was somewhat hesitant to order Japanese food at a place where half the menu is hamburgers and other non-Japanese food. The Japanese side of the menu was predominantly rice and Yakisoba bowls. Sushi offerings were scant, maybe a half dozen types of rolls. Ordered some mizo soup and a sushi combo for a light lunch. Mizo soup was pretty dull and luke warm. They had to take it back and zap it by microwave. That didn’t improve the taste or the consistency of the tofu in the mizo. Wife didn’t finish it. The sushi combo was a California roll and an eel roll. Both were done sans nori seaweed. In fact, I don’t think they knew what nori is. The eel roll as the better of the two, but neither was a stellar example of sushi rolls. We would have been better to go across the street and had Taco Bell’s version of Mexican Food. Does that tell you something?

Still my favorite sushi restaurant but service has totally gone downhill. Waitress didn’t smile once, didn’t offer refills on my drink and acted put out when I asked for sauce. Great food, bad service. Bummer deal.

I was completely dismayed when I moved to Idaho 10 years ago. I thought I would never find anything other than that horrifying gas station sushi. Especially in my neck of the woods. I live a ways from Boise. Then there was a glimmer of hope… and it was called Ogawas. I was so pleased with their saki. I believe it was the Nigori. Wonderful. And even better, the sushi was delightful as well. They also have food to appeal to the burger lover in your life. I love sushi so can’t bring myself to order a cheeseburger when I go there, but I hear they are quite tasty as well. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. Just a great vibe. Definitely a place worth stopping.

This is far and away the best thing in town. Disclaimer: this town smells like onions and poop. But still, why not go with the best? — good beer on tap — bartenders are exceedingly friendly — sushi is delicious Boom. Go there.
