Mustazzoli Ristorante Italiano

I love eating at #Mustazolli every time I’m filming at the #OntarioConvention Center! My server, #Gabby was very friendly and treated me like a VIP! Ramon (the chef) cooked my food to perfection. Buon Appetito!

Place is amazing!!! Almost everything is home made… breads, pastas, everything! For about $ 55, we got one appetizer, 2 entrees, and shared a dessert… DELICIOUS!!!

Very unassuming, strip mall restaurant.
Tarufata salad to start. Very surprised how subtle the flavors were considering ingredients like white truffle, fennel and arugula. The walnuts being toasted shows attention to detail.
Strip steak for dinner. Again. Flavors were pleasant, but I think that they butcher their own meat here. This is a plus if they are doing it well. It was ok. Cooked to my desired preference through most of it. But the steak was uneven, so… Medium in some parts well in others. Also, a bit charred for 27 $.
I would come back. If I wasn’t traveling and was a local. But maybe for pasta.

I am staying at the best western plus hotel next to this restaurant. The Receptionist at the hotel told me that all the restaurants around here are just fast food joints, like Jack-​in-​the-​Box and Subway. So I did not expect any good food around here. However, I have been completely pleasantly surprised. The cheese bread and another bread served was hot, moist, and delicious, I ordered the Veal dish, Vitello Al Porcini, which is tender, finley sliced, savory, and juicy. The Portobello and porcini mushrooms are sautéed with a nice white sauce and spiked with a flavorful Brandy. And the mixed vegetables grilled, and then sautéed with a nice firey touch to it. I’m ordering dessert and I will post photos. The service is very attentive too. The restaurant totally exceeded my expectations. I’m coming back for the next three days during my stay.

The ambiance is dainty and impressive. Came tonight for my brothers birthday and Mitchell was our server. I asked if they had a dish I saw on their Unilocal,and even though it wasn’t an option on the menu, they made it happen (thanks chef)!
Also, my dad is THE pickiest person ever when we go out to eat but for the first time ever, he had absolutely nothing but GOOD things to say about the service, the atmosphere, and the food, which he said was one of the best steaks he’s ever had (I’m still in awe over this… no lie).

Service was great and staff were very friendly. I ordered the strip steak. Portion was huge, but steak marinade just tasted off. Giving it three stars because it’s a great alternative to the restaurant in the hotel across the street. I will definitely go back and try something different.

Empty on Valentine’s Day at noon. Everything tastes like it is from a can or made at Costco. And it is radically over priced. A Ceaser at Denny’s has more flavor. I ended up with the because their cream tomato sauce was quite unappealing. The crotons were rock hard in an underdressed salad. How hard is it to learn basic terminology like ramekin. Also if your plate is over 20 bucks never bring me grated cheese ever. If Olive Garden can accomplish this than any «Italian restaurant» should as well.

Just had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner here thanks to my wonderful boyfriend. Two years ago we came here for Valentine’s Day and the service/​food were not that great but tonight everything was perfect. Everyone was definitely on their A game. Our waiter Mitchell was awesome and super friendly. I especially liked how he waited for our appetizer to be finished before bringing the entrees.
The food was better than it usually is tonight, which I did not even think was possible since it is always great. I switched up my routine and had the lobster ravioli, so delicious. We tried a new wine tonight and it was amazing, it tasted like rose juice that you can find at Mediterranean restaurants, so so good. I’ve told many of co workers about this place and I hope they check it out soon. If you haven’t eaten here yet, what the heck are you waiting for?

Legit Italian food! Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or a restaurant… from the outside? But seriously, Mustazzoli is in the middle of (Denny’s, fast food joints, motels, aka nowhere). Plus, you can’t even see inside the restaurant from the outside so it is just a building with shiny black windows. I’m not from the area, and so I thought I should do my due diligence as a Unilocaler to find a nice local restaurant on my second day here. (The first day I went straight to the In-​n-​Out, heh). Also, it did help that Mustazzoli is literally 10 steps away from the Comfort Suites, where I was staying.
Mustazzoli’s pictures are true to the place. Thank goodness for Unilocal!My mouth watered over their pictures of seafood spagehtti and beef strozzapreti. The few low star reviews are complaints about the service, but everything was perfect during my visit. There was only one waitress there around noon on a Friday, but she was so great and accommodating 5+ different parties coming in and out. I was quite impressed. I was quickly seated (tons of space) and given a menu. She let me know that she’d be right back with water and bread. She came back with a glass of water and let me know she’d be right back with a basket of bread (which by the way was delicious).

–Spaghetti con sapore di mare aka Seafood Spaghetti. YUS PLEASE! This was too hard not to choose. The photos looked amazing, everything was beautifully plated and well balanced in terms of pasta to seafood ratio, # of mussels, calamari, and shrimp. The flavor was great — the spicy white wine gave it a tiny kick. My overall favorite part? It was served HOT! (temperature wise). Everything combined made it a very. satisfying. lunch.

We have been here a couple of times, and each time the food is good and doesn’t disappoint. Sometimes the waiters can get very busy, and don’t come around too much, but over all the its good and will come back.

Would have loved to try their lasagna. Called their phone number 3x from the hotel across the street but they just kept letting it go to voicemail. It’s 5pm and there are very few people sitting in there as I walked my dog past the windows but due to the no dog policy I couldn’t walk in to order the dinners for all of us. Oh well, maybe another time. Management might tell the staff to answer the phone. It’s gonna be dominoes tonight.

Came back here last night with my boyfriend and I’m just gonna say «damn»…he got the pizza I got something I can’t pronounce but it had pasta, sauce, peppers, tomatoes and the best sausage ever and we split tiramisu at the end which was also the best. This was our second time there. I can’t wait to go back. It’s gonna be my mission to try one of everything from this place. They definitely know what they’re doing here with Italian food :)

Everything was SO good! I’ve been here about 4 times and I’ve never had anything bad to say. I ordered lobster ravioli and it was amazing! The dessert we got was really good too I can’t remember what it was called but it kind of tasted like fresas con crema but a more whipped version. Highly recommend this place! Tip: if you order the lobster ravioli get the pink vodka sauce it’s SO much better.

Found this place on Unilocal and I’m happy I came! It was nice and quiet, the food and wine was great and Mitchell our server was outstanding!
Highly recommend for a local Italian that’s not an Olive Garden! I will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a not too crowded lunch spot during the week, this is your place. It was almost empty when we went on a Monday. I can’t wait to come back to try more dishes, hopefully for date night. I opted for a meatless pasta dish (for meatless Monday) and I got the Capellini Alla Checca. Yummmmm. It hit the spot and wasn’t too filling. I actually ate the whole dish. My dessert of choice was the beautiful and tasty zabaglione. OMG. I need the recipe, and fast!
I really enjoyed my time here with my co-​workers and we all enjoyed our meals + the complimentary bread. Bruschetta was delicious as well. This is definitely an Italian restaurant you need to check out if you haven’t already.

Brought my GF here for a nice date. Rate is 3 stars because it was all around average. I have the salmon and she had the fettuccine Alfredo. My dish I don’t recommend. A little too lemony which made the sides not go together well. Her dish was great though.
The service was a little below avg. it’s not reflect the restaurant though since the two other waiters were very friendly with the other tables. My GF said our waiter gave her a little attitude when she asked if «here?» Referring to the table. I didn’t notice it because I was a little behind.
My biggest complaint was she brought me my beer in the bottle without a glass. I looked around and the other tables and everyone else had a glass brought with their beer. The guy next to us ordered the same beer as me too. Only difference was the waiter.
After that for some reason she took forever to bring our check after I’d asked for it. She just seemed like she was done for the day. I get it, people have their good days and bad days. But in customer service it just can’t matter.
Lack of service made me not want to return!

We had Calamari, Fettuccine Del Polaio & Ravioli Al Fungi — everything tasted great!
Nice restaurant for a date or a dinner with the family.

I’ve been working down the street from this place and always think about giving it a try. Well was I surprised, this place is great! Orders the Chicken Marsala and it was delish!
Nothing better than a restaurant when its clearly obvious the chef takes pride in his product.
Flavors on point, service on point, presentation on point. This place has earned a new customer.

Shut it down and start over. First off, they refused to honor their own Unilocal CHECK IN COUPON! All of a sudden they have an unwritten dine in only mandate on Unilocal offers. I was told no manager was on duty.
The food wasn’t worth the walk from my hotel.
