Jim’s Char Broiled Burgers

This place is amazing and stopped there once and I’m hooked every time I have to stop jalapenos are good and hot burgers are fresh meat is good quality meat and their customer service is amazing I suggest this place to anybody who is around this area

I stopped here because it was close to the job I was working, at 12:45pm, there was only 1 other customer. Almost every booth was dirty, and some of the booths are broken (they wobble when you sit) the staff is less than friendly. I was greeted, but after she finished what she was doing, almost like it was a chore for her to say hi.
Food was good. I ordered the 5 asada taco special. I would have given a higher rating if the store was clean.

This place is garbage! The manager is the worst and top of that the managers husband is the owner of the place and he has a worse attitude than the manager. First came in it smell like cigarettes and the place looks cheap and ugly and the food is over priced. Seriously guys you’re better off going to in and out or another place that sells hamburger, such as Andy’s burger by holt and sultana st.

Chicken fried steak is the bomb bizzle! Very fresh and the price is affordable. They really changed up their service for better!

Based on the previous reviews I was less than thrilled to eat here. But, at the bfs request I gave in. I ordered the grilled cheese because I figured that was pretty much the only thing that no one could mess up. He got the chili verde plate and my kiddo got 2 asada tacos. The asada tacos were surprisingly very good. The pieces of meat were thin and I didn’t find a single bit of fat on them (yes I inspected them). My daughter said they were good so I had a bite. I wish I would have ordered them instead. The grilled cheese was as to be expected. The bf really enjoyed the verde, aside from it not being as hot as he liked. I’d definitely come back if I’m near but I wouldn’t drive here just for Jim’s. All in all I was pleasantly surprised.

Very disappointed. Chicken strips were worst I’ve ever had dealt with two girls there and both were rude. Interior had food on floor and just plain dirty. Never again

pretty terrible, soggy fries. They do give alot of food though, I had a cheeseburger here once that made me feel regret after eating it, and not good regret. On another occasion I had a country fried steak sandwich. Made me sick. Dont think I will come back here again there are better burger joints close by.

Let me star out by saying that I’m the type of person that never complains about food. I always try and find something good about the places I eat at, this is THE exception. I would rather eat a heaping pile of pickled pig’s abuses than to eat here EVER again! The service is shyte, the place is empty, the food is burnt and tasteless and the Paisa cooking the food is too busy doing other non work related shut to give a Danny. Honestly, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. These types of joints need to go out of business.

I absolutely looooove eating at mom and pop eateries and usually have good experiences at other similar «Jim’s» type places. So when hubby and I decided to look for a place to eat lunch at while we were in Upland on our way to Riverside, we spotted this place and asked, «Why not?» Oh boy… if I could go back to that moment, I’d have plenty of reasons not to. First of all, the lack of any customers on a Friday at lunch time made me pause but we were already here and I didn’t want to turn around and walk out after the poor soul at the cash register saw us. I ordered a chicken salad and he got the western omelette. The servings were huge… but sadly, we ended up throwing most of it away. Not because we we were oh so stuffed with this deliciousness that we just couldn’t finish it all, but because it was just so bad! The chicken salad consisted of boiled chicken breast, which had not been trimmed of the excess fat; (I got a big bite of that ((hurling))) and iceberg lettuce… that’s it. Hubby’s western omelette consisted of burnt egg with bell peppers and onions… nothing else. Seriously… is that what makes it western? Neither dish had seasoning as they lacked any flavor. Good gawd… if you’re going to be in the restaurant business, please show some love in your food! The lack of it really shows. I’ll never come back.

Love the upland location to death. My last 2 visits to this one were very frustrating. Tge food is ok. Not good enough to make up for rude service and mutilple attempts at over charging me. I guess a simple request to put something on the side was way to much to ask. Sad to see poor employees run good restaurants into the ground.

Best burger meal for under five bucks!

It looks like they’ve redone the interior and exterior since my last review. The place looks really nice now, it’s amazing what a coat of paint and some other little touches can do.
This time I tried the shrimp basket. Again, the portion size was huge — over a dozen good sized shrimp, a large bed of fries, fried zucchini, onion rings, and a side salad as a bonus! I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less in the past. Watching the US loose to Ghana in the World Cup was a bummer, but not Jim’s fault. ;)
With the improved décor, this place gets bumped up to a five star burger joint.
