I have been so disappointed with our local Panera. I should first say that I am a weekly regular. However, the last three times I have gone, my order is messed up or my smoothie (my family’s favorite treat) was like soup! I have complained online and recieved a gift card but even if it is free, I don’t want a soupy smoothie. I hope they turn it around. It seems as thought the problems are more recent and with these few poor reviews, they may want to step it up.

We have Panera Bread in California and I was so happy to see somewhere that has healthier choices. However this store was out of everything. The lady in front of us couldn’t get the sandwich she wanted because they were out of bagels. My daugther wanted the soup in the bread bowl but they were out of bread bowls. There were a few other people I heard that couldn’t get their order because they were out of things. They didn’t even offer a discount or alternatives it was like «I’m sorry we don’t have that». Not good customer service.

What happened? :(I was happy to see that Oneonta got a Panera Bread a few years ago, and for a while this restaurant was up to par with the many other Paneras I’ve been to over the years, but lately the quality of my orders has gone way down. This is easy to tell since I basically get the same sandwich or soup combo every time, and each time my experience has gotten worse. Forgetting to use the sandwiches signature sauce, leaving out the cheese, sloppy presentation, etc. It’s too bad.

I had a combo here today with half of the Sierra turkey sandwich and a bowl of the broccoli cheddar soup with a baguette. I originally ordered a frozen lemonade, but they were already out at around 1:45 p.m., so I stuck with water. The food was ready promptly and very yummy. The place could have been cleaner. There were several dirty tables and little bits of food and trash scattered all throughout the floor.
In short, the food was ready in no time and it was good, minus the frozen lemonade I couldn’t get. General cleanliness could have been better.

Great food and not too pricey. Had steak sandwich and soup. Very busy for dinner time so get back in early if you can. Soup was amazing definitely a great new place to go in oneonta.
