My 2000 Mitsubishi Galant needed a new flexor pipe and exhaust parts replaced. The dealership said they were only allowed to install factory parts and the part was $ 1,400! Went to Monroe on Rt. 7 they «found the only one available for $ 1,500» and they have a 6 month no interest payment plan … gee thanks for nothing.
So I went online and found the part brand new at
and asked Jeff at Monser Brothers what he thought and he said order it! When I was on the phone I got confused and called Jeff for help and he made sure I got the right part. $ 287 and 4 days later UPS showed up with the part. One day and $ 106 later my car sounds like new. Total cost $ 393, just 25% of what others wanted to hose me for!
I really appreciate Jeff’s help. I also noticed while I was in their very clean and comfortable waiting area, as he helped other customers, Jeff is incredibly knowledgeble and honest. He is sincerely trying to help people get their cars fixed safely and inexpensively. I highly recommend Monser Brothers.

It’s very frustrating when my daughter is away at college and calls about a problem with her car, since I can’t take a look at it myself. Add to that my fear that any mechanic out there is just waiting to rip her off. For example, how about the dealer who wanted to charge her more than $ 100 to change an air filter and a cabin filter? If your son or daughter is attending school in Oneonta and needs good honest auto service, this is the place to send them. I can’t say enough about John. If you know a bit about fixing cars, and even if you don’t, he’s a very reassuring voice over the phone. Highly recommended.
