Didn’t eat here but wish we had the time, we did get a carrot cake. Jason was very kind and made us a whole cake on short notice. We came Saturday afternoon before Mother’s Day and he made us a cake that morning. Thank you so much it was very good, thanks for taking the extra effort for us we will definitely stop by next time for lunch/dinner and cake.

This is a basic looking café in downtown Omak, one block off the main drag. Their menu is good with several options. I had the Mediterenian Chicken Salad which was exactly what I wanted! The sesame dressing was tasty and the lettuce was fresh. The building is for sale and there is help wanted signs in the window, so hopefully they are hanging in! A good place to stop for breakfast too I imagine. I’ll be back when I’m in Omak!

I decided to check this place out while I was traveling on business. The atmosphere is very homely and comfortable. I like how the names of of the owners are right on the front of the menu. It is a very authentic sort of place. The service was good and my waitress was nice. It’s a farm to table restaurant and the food was very fresh. It’s a great place!

This is a long overdue review for the Corner Bistro. Who woulda thunk I would find one of the best farm to table meals I’ve had in a while out in the middle of freakin’ nowhere. Katrina, Jim and I were on our way to the Skaha Valley when we decided we needed food. And this is the place Unilocal pointed us to. It’s tucked away from the main strip… and I’m not sure if we would have found it if it weren’t for Unilocal. The food was deliciously lovely and so are the people. If you are EVER in Omak, I highly highly recommend going to the Corner Bistro.

We pass through Omak twice year enroute to Bonaparte lake resort. We ate here a couple years ago and we loved it. Today sadly, they skipped our ticket somehow. We started watching them serve food to tables of people that ordered after us and we had already waited a long time. They did handle it well, putting a rush on our order and we got it shortly thereafter and they voluntarily comped our meal. Unfortunately the meals were not that good. My whiskey chicken wrap was mostly tortilla. My husband’s chicken fried steak was gristly and he thinks it was deep fried. I can handle a mistake when they try to make it right but the food would need to be more worthwhile to go back.

The«Old» Corner Bistro was fantastic! Food was great, prices were reasonable for what you got and the Décor was homey and welcoming. NOTANYMORE :0( The coffee looks like tea, we sit on hard benches(no cushions-just throw pillows for people with bony butts), the price is high yet the portions and quality do not agree with the price, out of things, l-o-n-g wait but the food wasn’t worth the wait. Corned Beef Hash was more like eating dry ham and potatoes. We were entertaining out of town guests and we should have known better. My husband and I have eaten here three times since the new management took over and it’s been the same story every time(we believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt). But now… we’re done here

If traveling through Omak, this place is a must! We were traveling from California to Canada(and back to California) and stopped both times passing through. The food and service is absolutely outstanding! If I am ever in Omak again, I will make sure to stop here!

It isn’t very often that I find a restaurant that I have been totally satisfied with, but I think I found a candidate. I Had a group of friends and family needing a good breakfast on a Sunday morning, and I was panicking. Omak Washington isn’t exactly a place in which a plethora of fine eating establishments are available, and honestly wasn’t holding out much hope. So I decided to get on Google and pray for a hail Mary. Google suggested the Corner Bistro. I had not been back to Omak since growing up in this area, so I decided what the heck, and I am sure glad I did. The Restaurant atmosphere was eclectic in a refreshing way. The décor emulated a historical outline of the native American culture in the area, which is pretty significant, yet did not over do it. On the other side of the spectrum, it reminded me of a very comfy coffee/espresso shop. The menu was equally impressive. It not only offered the common menu items you would find in a mom and pops diner, but also had some of the upper-shelf selections more reserved for a discerning palate. My order was the American Omelet and Hot Cocoa. When it came, the presentation of the food was on point and got a 10⁄10. I am one who appreciates a little«Food Foreplay», and boy, this did not disappoint. The presentation was like looking at a piece of art you were able to eat, from the Stoneware plates, to the mugs, totally on point! The quality of the food yet again was 10÷10… Absolutely DELICIOUS… I did notice that the wait staff was numbered. In my subsequent visits since then, I became aware that the same young lady in all of my visits was present and usually by herself. So in reference to others who have rated and made comment to slow plate times, be patient, well worth the wait. I highly recommend that anyone who finds themselves in the Omak area to come experience the Corner Bistro. The food is impressive, décor equally noteworthy, and the staff is very accommodating. They earned my 5 Star without question. Just writing this review is causing me to get in my car to go to the Corner Bistro for the Granola Bowl! :-)

This was my second attempt at this restaurant. I live in the area and thought I should give it another chance before writing a review. However, my second time at this restaurant was worse than the first. The service is horrible. It took 10 min to come to the table to bring us water and another 10 to come take our orders. The food sat in the window for 5 min until the waitress(the owner) brought us out food(some of which was not what we ordered). The food was dry, bland and tasteless. The waitress never came back to the table to refill drinks or check on how we were doing. I walked up front to pay the bill and was asked how the meal was. I was honest with our disappointment and the owner offered to take the uneaten portion of my meal(a dry and burnt BBQ chicken wrap) and make it correctly. The to-go plate I was given was a total insult. The wrap was swimming in juice and it was dripping off the plate. It was soggy and inedible. It had to be thrown away. I love to support local businesses, but this place is sadly not worth the time and money.

Stopped by there today while across the line on a shopping trip, and they lived up to the other reviews. Service was fantastic, only to be bettered by the food! We shared a pulled pork sandwich and the New York Reuben, only to follow that up with the in house apple bread pudding that was yyyuuuummmmm! If you are passing through, or a local you wind be disappointed. We will be back on our next trip to Omak!

Omak is a bit away from the maddening crowds, so it was with some trepidation that I decided to join a group of us in riding to Omak from Chelan for lunch. I’d love to tell you that this was a life-altering experience, but that’s a high bar that has failed me in the past(Beast, I’m looking at you!). What I can tell you is that the space is pleasant, with fresh flowers on the table. The menu isn’t earth-shattering, but there are some nice items on the list. For the sake of my traveling companion, I opted for something OTHER than the Reuben, but I won’t fault the place for my choice. I opted for the Thai Chicken salad and was greeted with a good, solid salad. The sauce is made in-house, though it wasn’t particularly distinguishable from the chain dressings. Honestly, if this were anywhere metropolitan, it would likely be an also-ran, but given that it’s in Omak, it’s a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t make a special trip for it, but The Corner Bistro is MUCH better than other offerings around Omak and I would encourage you to consider it should you want real food whilst exploring the area.

Stopped in for lunch after reading all the glowing reviews… An overall disappointment. Coffee was Great. Sourdough toast was great. The other with me had a burger dip and enjoyed his lunch. I order the corned beef hash & eggs.(Eggs over medium) Our server was new. There was a new person in the kitchen. Our order was very very slow to come out. When it arrived the server set it down and left, there was no follow up. Had she followed up she would have learned we needed jelly and ketchup(we went to other tables and fetched it ourselves) My dining companion would have been able to get the ranch she offered when ordering More importantly I could have possibly gotten my breakfast corrected. Eggs over medium… this is when the yolk is runny and the white are NOT, I was served over easy eggs barely cooked. The potatoes in the hash was a mix of crunchy undercooked potatoes and pieces of black potato that normal people cut out and discard. Oddly as I was searching the cooked pieces if potato and enjoying the awesome corned beef(really the corned beef was fricken awesome) I came across a pocket of hash with a healthy dose of horseradish… I don’t think that was meant to be there. When the server finally arrived with the check and to ask how everything was I was honest and paid her. After running my card, the owner(who should have done a better job training) old her to give us a 10% discount. Too late. I’ll not be back, though I am only here one day a year and don’t want to risk it. You could fare better… based on the other reviews I’m almost sure of it. I’ve included a pic of what was undercooked on my plate. …

Excellent soup of the day! All from local garden. My parents came along and got lite menu burger and fries for 5.50 and they each had half of the burger for leftovers. Great deal and wonderful folks!

One of those great little hole in the wall places that nobody would be able to find without Unilocal. Stopped in on the way through town and had a late breakfast which was very good quality and nice and big! They have a fair amount of Veg options at least for a diner and the prices are very reasonable. I have only been here once so far but during my visit I couldn’t help looking at everyone else’s food and planing what I would have next!

When given a choice between doing our stocking-up shopping in Omak or Colville, my husband and I invariably choose Omak, just so we can eat at this unassuming little restaurant. We learned of this restaurant through Unilocal(thank you to all the previous reviewers), and it immediately became a favorite of ours. I’m fond of their soups which are tasty and freshly made, and my husband likes the salads with the berry-based vinaigrette. My favorite lunch choice is the Fish Wrap, with hand-battered fried halibut, cilantro coleslaw, mixed greens, mozzarella, and the Bistro’s tarter sauce(the ingredients blend perfectly, with no over-powering flavors). Can’t rate their desserts, not because they aren’t tempting… we’re just too full at the end of the meal to give them a try. The staff are friendly, efficient, and ready with recommendations if asked for. And, not only is this a great restaurant it is also available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner SEVEN days a week! Anyone who either resides in or travels through rural America knows how rare it is to find a good restaurant that actually maintains regular hours and days, much less is open every day.

Wow… A hidden gem in Omak. Just ignore the outside appearance and walk your butt inside. We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger w/potato salad and Stampede sandwich. Let me tell you about my burger. First, the bun was nice and toasted topped w/cornmeal, not sesame seeds. It had a nice crisp toast crunch but the bread was very soft. The mushrooms were juicy and fresh. The cheese was nice and melted. The beef… mmm. mmm…good! The Stampede sandwich was fantastic. My other half ordered it and almost fought me when I wanted some of his fries. Funny but true :-) I am not a french fries eater at all but I must say they were THEBEST fries I’ve ever eaten in my life. For me, I loved the nice crunch on the outside and very fluffy potatoes on the inside. Ithave no idea how they could make perfect fries that were not overy greasy and over fried! It was so good we came back again and I ordered the fries instead of the potato salad. Now don’t get me wrong, the potato salad was the bomb! They added eggs, bacon and all sorts of goodness. Very unique and very fresh but it’s hard to top the fries. So, next time we’re back in Omak, we are heading straight to Corner Bistro!
