Affordable and delicious Chinese and Korean food. For those in a hurry, try the drive thru. You can’t get Korean in the drive through unless you order ahead. The ambiance is just okay. The restaurant could use an update but the food makes up for it.

We really wanted Rose Garden on 97th and Q but they are closed on Sunday’s I’m so confused as to why anyone would want to eat here. Hot and sour soup was terrible, no crab in the crab Rangoon the eggrolls were ok, and the tea I had was really good. We also had generals chicken which was good. I won’t ever go back. Too basic for me

Reading the reviews before hand is the only reason I tried this place. That was a mistake… the inside is disgusting, as in dirty and it was dated. The food was so-so the tea was good but the hot and sour soup was so gross and so where the egg roll and crab Rangoon. The general chicken was okay but I’m not going back anywhere for«okay.» But hey the one server in the whole place was nice.

The food was really good! I had the Hot and Crispy Shrimp– it was fresh and delicious, and the sauce had the perfect amount of spice! Yes, it’s a little dicey. The cook waited on me in the drive thru with a dirty tank top on– but look past that and the somewhat disheveled counter at the drive thru if you can, the food really is good!

I try to see the positive in everything so let’s start there! 1st, there menu is online which is rare for Chinese restaurants. So I already knew what I wanted before going. There is a drive through which is a +. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo. This was my first visit, so it allowed me to sample soup, crab Rangoon and egg roll. My total for my dish, a bowl of soup, an egg roll and crab Rangoon was just under $ 8 which is a steal. On the other hand… It wasn’t horribly good. It wasn’t bad as in I threw it out but it wasn’t good either. The sweet and sour sauce is thin and very sweet. The fried rice was not good. The eggroll was gray inside(?) But the crab Rangoon was good. The soup was awful. It was brown and bitter. It was a unification between tart and dirty gym socks. I threw it out immediately. Will I go back? Probably not. If I do, I will get just the entrée and skip the rest.

Eh… Was looking for something in area & went through drive through. Gave my order, Mongolian Beef, 1 egg roll… she cut me off before getting to my drink by saying, «That ALL»… «Noooooo,» I said. I’d like a diet Pepsi too. Her response? «That all». And I was done ordering. When pulling up to window, I paid… 7 something dollars. Then she hands me this big sack. So I say… diet pepsi?. She says… combo. I restate my order I gave her and she takes back sack. She takes out soup, something else, and gets me a soda. Then she says she won’t charge me for soda due to her mistake. Oooooook… but I paid for a combo & that actually costs more, so I think we’re good. Egg roll… ok, not bad Mongolian Beef… little flavor… poured soy sauce on & helped some Diet pepsi… excellent May give it a 2nd chance, but definitely not impressed.

Awesome place to fix my Korean food craving. Food is very tasty and authentic. We had beef ribs soup and tofu kimchi soup. All I can say is this is a solid Korean restaurant to go to. The wait was long as there is only one waiter. However, still highly recommended. The restaurant could use some interior deco. I did not try the Chinese menu, as it looks like every boring Chinese fusion menu out there.

Good for what you pay… Paid $ 15 got a huge amount of sesame chicken, fried rice, order of crab Rangoon(4) –Didn’t realize that the meal also came with an egg roll and a crab Rangoon– and some wanton soup. Everything was good, except for the soup. That was a little lacking but not horrible. Would definitely go there again.

Hidden gem for authentic Korean food. I went with my mom who is Korean. Nice spread of banchan and the best nyengmyun in Omaha. The server was super sweet and awesome! He isn’t Korean but he has been there for 4 years and had deep knowledge of the Korean menu and the history of the restaurant. The owners are Korean and Chinese, which makes sense why the menu is split. I only tried the hot wings(spicy) and the sauce was amazing from the Chinese menu. Everyone around us was very complimentary on the Chinese food they had ordered. The portions are huge! You can split or take left overs home for one or more meals! I will definitely be going again for my Korean cravings. It is not the fanciest place in town, but the food was fresh and made from scratch.

I’ve been coming to Hunan Garden ever since I was a young kid. My dad would order pig’s feet, which is super authentic Chinese cuisine, but since I can make my own decisions now I decided to try the Korean menu. Fortunately, my mom is Korean so my better half won its craving. Very quiet and small restaurant, came in during the afternoon so there were only a few other people, dining area was really clean and filled old-school décor(folding screens, ancient mock paintings, etc). Waiter was very nice, somewhat quiet, but was quick and prompt with service. I decided to get bibimbap and it was delicious! The serving size was very large and came with 6 banchan(side dishes) and the sesame oil and gochujang on the side as well. The pot was scorching hot, which makes the rice a little crispy and the vegetables were very plentiful. I think HG got it perfect — both pricing and portion(and the sunny-side up egg on top). A lot of other Korean restaurants amp up the price and portion goes down, but for 11 dollars you get a very generous portion and probably the best I’ve had. I wish I had a bottomless stomach, definitely will come back to try the other dishes!

We get to go here probably once a month or so. Sometimes drive through, but most of the time I call ahead and go inside. I would probably give it five stars if the atmosphere in the dining room was a bit nicer, but I think they have built their business mostly around to go food. My girlfriend had Shrimp with snowpeas tonight which is her favorite so far. The sauce is excellent! I’ve tried a bunch of different things from the menu. Tonight I had the Hunan Shrimp. It was pretty good. can’t really complain at all. A bit of spice vegetables weren’t overcooked or anything and there was plenty of it. Didn’t have soup or an eggroll and I still have some for lunch tomorrow! 20 bucks even for two large orders. Not bad! Definitely recommend Wongs for a very decent meal at a decent price.

This is our go to Chinese. Sad to say we go so often they have our order memorized :) food is always fresh and tasty. Broccoli is always the perfect consistency. We get the combo and always have left overs for Lunch the next day. Price is right in line with other places and its a good amount of food for the money.

We have ordered from here twice now for work lunches and both times have been great! Food is hot, delivered quickly and everything correct! Just a little different from your average chinese restaurants in the area and I love the mabo bean curd! This is definitely our new go to for takeout and delivery n the area!

This review is only relevant to the Korean menu and is a first visit from an out of towner. We came for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon in January. There was only one other table and one other Korean lady came in to eat during our meal. The couple at the booth were eating Chinese and I noticed that they had hot mustard which is a must for any good Chinese restaurant. The waiter was not Korean but knew about all of the dishes and could describe them. This was helpful since the Korean menu is mainly in Korean and not all of the dishes have descriptions. He said he had worked there for 4 years and he provided excellent service. The Korean chef also came through the dining room on her way to run an errand. She said she worried about how spicy everything was. We told her everything was spicy but very good. We ordered hot tea and was presented with a choice of Korean corn tea or Chinese black tea(I think). We chose the Korean corn tea and it was a very nice option. Came in nice big mugs. We also ordered the steamed dumplings(Mandu) which were smaller but tasty. The mackerel(Fish) was not good. May have been old. The soft tofu soup(Soondoobu Chigae) came in a bubbling caldron(or traditional Korean clay pot/bowl) and had bits of seafood. The Mapo tofu was excellent. We also had the Domi Hoemuchim, raw fish with apples and onions in red pepper paste served cold which is a unique midwestern find from Korea. This version was spicy, fresh and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised at how many ban chan side dishes were served and how good they all were. I would have to definitely say that is one of the chef’s specialties is all of the ban chan and the great, traditional Korean flavors in each one. I would definitely go back. It is close to the best shopping mall in Omaha. It has nice tables for groups and booths for couples and small families. I think the ambience is excellent for a birthday or anniversary dinner as well as a family outing after the kids’ game whatever it may be.

I think I found my new favorite Korean joint in Omaha. Being born and raised in LA, finding good Korean food in Omaha has been a struggle. I’ve been to Maru, way too pretentious and overpriced, and they really skimp on the banchan(side dishes). Korean Grill, awesome food, but bothers me that it isn’t fresh and the dining area is really small and can be uncomfortable. When my friend told me about the best Korean restaurant in Omaha being disguised as a Chinese restaurant I was skeptical, but I had to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. Big roomy dining area, decent prices, awesome banchan(side dishes), and everything is made fresh. Service was really good too, and the waiter always checked if we wanted more rice or side dishes, free of charge of course, the way it should be, and he kept em coming. Their kakdugi(kimchi raddish) is prob one of the best I ever had. Our table had the fried mandu, bibimbap, pork and beef bulgogi, and tangsuyuk. The fried mandu and tangsuyuk wasn’t quite up to par to LA standards, but the bibimbab, bulgogi, and all the delicious banchan was on point. So yea I’ve had better, but I’m giving this place five stars for being as good as it gets in Omaha.

My Korean friend and I were actually going to the trendy Korean place next door, but it was closed. He spotted this place and we went in intending to eat some fast food chinese. We were surprised to see a Korean section in the menu and decided to give it a try. He and I were both surprised by the quality and portion size. He had the Bibimbap and I had the spicy pork Bulgogi. Authentic taste. We later found out that the cook is Korean. We will definitely be back for some more Korean dishes. I don’t know about their Chinese dishes, but I would recommend this restaurant over the place next door for home cooked Korean food at a decent price.

went through just to grab a quick lunch, I only ordered the«wings» and an egg roll. They asked me if I wanted the wings hot, of course I did, love my wings spicy. They were not spicy at all and pretty much had that taste of frozen pre cooked wings, Did not like them all all. The egg roll was tasty but really small. reminds me of the frozen ones(size) you can get from the frozen food section. will probably not go back
