U-Haul Moving & Storage at Millard

We reserved a truck for 24 hours and when we got there they said we only had it for 12 hours because they messed up the reservation. They proceeded to condescendingly ask us what they’re supposed to do for the other reservation if we take it for our reserved 24 hours. We ended up not getting a truck from them and will never go back.

Won’t let me post without giving it a least a star but after reading you will agree no star should be given. Worst place to rent a truck. Gave us a truck that had a broken transmission and knew about it. Our 24 hr drive took 4 days because the piece of crab kept breaking down and Uhaul kept sending mechanics to just pour transmission fluid in it and let it sit, «since they claim it was just overheating» and needed time to cool off. Once it finally broke down corporate office states they would pay for both nights of hotel stay and refund the truck rental plus make sure to tow it to our destination. So we went on our way to our new home which is 4 in a half hrs away from where we broke down and the mechanic told us everything that was wrong with the truck and advice he would tow since uhaul gave the ok. This was around 8 pm; now we arrive home at 3am truck should get to us no later than 6 am. Giving them 2 extra hrs of tow time and wouldn’t you know it; no truck. Call tow guy at 7 am who tells us that within 5 mins of us leaving our belongings uhaul calls and cancels the tow but never bothered to call us the owners. Our belongings were sitting on the side of the road 4 in a half hrs away. I am still mad when I think about it. I called uhaul and just go off about everything the supervisor finally says sorry «yes our mistake we will tow and refund truck and hotel stay». My truck finally gets in later in the evening, yes towed in and apparently it rained for a bit while towing so some of my items got ruined since the rain got in the truck all mattresses where wet on one side, couches as well. My wood entertainment center warped on one end and my sons box of clothes smelled of mildew since bottom was all wet. Now uhaul corporate promised full refund but this location in Millard is refusing to give back full refund instead half plus the extra day. Since they tried charging for the extra day of having the truck since didn’t get towed back till Sunday and was due Friday morning. Don’t ever use Uhual or this location with their manger name Gary because they do not care about their customers safety or their belongings.
