Stop here almost every time I’m in town for a quick combo. Staff is friendly and no matter how many people are in there, it’s never more than a 5 minute wait for food. Best spare ribs I’ve ever had!

Not Bariatric Friendly, well that’s not entirely true. Egg rolls and crab Rangoon and dishes with protein and veggies are things we can have but the grease and the salt and all the other things that make us sick makes this place a 50⁄50. I had been here a couple of times before surgery and I highly recommend the Peanut Butter chicken. It’s a divvy little place with the best American-Chinese food. Almost all dishes come with soup, egg roll or crab Rangoon and the main dish and rice. A huge amount of food for a super reasonable price. After surgery, I get an egg roll or two and some main dish and hold the rice. Or I just nibble off someone else’s plate. Go when you are hungry to be sure.

I went with a friend for Chinese and based on the reviews, we tried Three Happiness Express and were not disappointed. It is located in a small strip mall, very unassuming and very casual but the food is DELICIOUS. I had the Hot and Sour Soup(good — not quite traditional — but still very good), the Ming’s Beef and the Black Pepper Chicken; both were outrageously good and were each served on a plate with a mound of rice. My dining partner had the Wonton Soup(huge bowl for two) and Broccoli Chicken with the addition of carrots and shrimp — which they accommodated with no issues. Also were their very yummy spring rolls. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu. Great food, very reasonably priced, great service and staff and I would DEFINITELY dine here again — often — if I lived in Omaha.

This place is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Omaha. Every time I go here I have great service and delicious food. They are very generous with their portions and extremely affordable.

My favorite place for Chinese food! LOVE the crab rangoon and by far the best sesame chicken I have ever had! Also the peanut butter chicken is really good and so are the rice bowls. Really, you can’t go wrong here.

Best Chinese on this side of town. Huge portions, reasonable prices, and the peanut butter chicken is to DIE for.

My boyfriend and I found this to be adequate for our anniversary dinner. Granted, our anniversary bears the inconvenient date of December 31st, a time by which we are both too financially drained and socially fatigued to want to go all out. Screw NYE partying, and screw a fancy commemoration of our undying, hot flaming love. I honestly kind of love having an NYE anniversary! Last year we went to Casa Bonita and ate the shitty food, so having a cheap but Unilocal-approved dinner of Chinese food was welcome. Of course, there are no cliff divers or escaped gorilla-themed skits at Three Happiness Express, but I can live with that. The entertainment at Three Happiness Express that night was a couple of episodes of Bobby Flay Throwdown, as well as my boyfriend muttering under his breath about another customer, a doofus with a stupid mustache wearing his girlfriend’s pants doing karate moves at the front counter. Making a decision was hard. The menu is quite extensive, and it’s worth nothing that it includes a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans. We eventually decided on the Double Happiness for me, and the Three Happiness Chicken for him. Both of our entrees were definitely good, if not quite memorable. I definitely cannot complain, since they were less than $ 10 each, and include a bowl of soup and a choice of an egg roll or crab rangoon. I could have eaten a bucket of the crab rangoon, honestly. This was a great choice for another year of dealing with each other, and for other people, I’m sure it’s a great place to eat a cheap lunch or dinner.

Food was delicious and portion sizes were so much larger than I expected. Ordered takeout which was ready on time. Generals chicken tasted just as generals chicken should. The honey chicken had a strong chicken broth flavor that we weren’t fans of, but we really tried that one in the name of science, anyway. The Mongolian beef was sweeter than my mother was expecting but all in all a solid establishment.

I’m not sure what the hype is about. Decent price for mediocre food, nothing special. I tried to order by phone, put me on hold for good 10 – 15 minutes. Then I finally talked to a guy, then he hug up. I called back, placed an order. He told me the order would take 40 – 50 minutes, I ordered only two dishes. It was ok until then, maybe they are super busy. I get there, and the hall is empty. I only see 3 – 4 tables occupied. So why 50 minutes wait? After waiting extra 10 – 15 minutes, I went up to the counter and try to pay. The cashier was extremely rude. I’ve been to a number of restaurants and the service here was by far the worst. She acted as she doesn’t care. If she hates her job so much, then she should quit and don’t let others suffer. I ordered a sesame chicken. The portion was fair, but it was too salty and sweet. Way too much sauce for the amount of chicken. I also ordered shrimp lomein. Again, their portion is good, but again too salty. So to sum it up, mediocre food for decent price, TERRIBLESERVICE!

Let me explain my situation. I am with two other humans right now and that equals three. I can honestly say that we embody what it means to be three happiness express. GUESSWHAT! My soup was only 2 dollars for twelve ounces. I’m going to turn up for egg drop soup constantly now because that’s such a great deal. Cool place to eat and chill. Would highly recommend 10⁄10.

I really want to Love Three Happiness but the service can be subpar to down right bad at times. It seems like you roll the dice. We went today and were served after 3 other tables who arrived after us. The food was ok but the service and lack of remorse by the management is a real turnoff. I was going to give 2 stars but one of the chefs came out when we were on our way out and apologized. I wish the management did the same.

For my 250th review, I chose 3 Happiness because I have been going here for years. Since we became a meatless household we focus on the largest veggie menu available. In fact, it is actually a vegan menu. There were at least 28 different dishes(possibly 31 as I ordered V31) that you can decide on. The flavors are bright and prominent and the match well with little accoutrements. I really like the portion sizes for the price because it is an extreme value. That is of course, if you like leftovers. the sizes are seriously huge. there is always a vegan special advertised and the staff is very quickly. I am not sure if it is the area of town that it is located, but it makes me think of LaCasa in terms of the sheer amount of younger kids working behind the scenes. Do not fret if you see the table in the middle of the dining area covered in to go packaging and water pitchers.

I vouch for everything I said in my first review. And two years later, I still find myself going here time and time again. It’s fast, casual American Chinese. Great staff. Great food. You can split any of the entrees and have a meal for two people for under $ 10. Their vegan menu is expansive and full of A+ options. Three Happiness is a perfect neighborhood restaurant. I recommend going during non-peak hours, because it does get busy during lunch and dinner. Now excuse me, I have some leftovers to heat up.

Yes. Just yes. If you are expecting a fancy restaurant, keeping driving. If you are expecting amazing food at an extremely reasonable price, head in. From the outside, the neon is half out, and if you aren’t paying attention, you’ll drive right by it. My family of five(two adults and three teenage freeloaders) each had an entrée(which was so largely portioned there was enough for lunch the next day) and our bill was around $ 40. Kung Pao Tofu: AMAZING Sesame Chicken: SOAMAZING Peanut Butter Chicken: HEAVEN. We found our non-buffet Chinese restaurant.

Overly heavy on the gravy. the brown and red sauce were just way to thick and overly done. Very heavy on the ginger. Felt to me like the standard ps food service out of the box food. Service was suffering for sure. Not sure if they just did not want to work or just felt bothered we were there? did not feel welcomed at all. Would not seek this place out again

Constantly I’ve had friends tell me this was the place to go for Chinese food… and tonight I finally had the awesomeness that was Three Happiness… Yes it’s on Leavenworth, which means the surrounding area is a notch above the ghetto… but damn this place is worth the trip… I ordered the peanut butter chicken… OMG was it good… in fact, it made the top 10 list of tastiest things I’ve put in my mouth… it was indescribably awesome… and you get your choice of soup, I went with egg drop, which was simply perfect, and an egg roll, which while a bit on the small side, was also one of the best I’d ever had… the check for mine and my friends food came to just over $ 16…and we both had leftovers… this place is true diamond in the rough… I will not be waiting long to come back… oh and the waitress was really good… friendly, quick and with a smile…

I was in SHOCK!!! I wanted to like this place. I am always looking for a new Asian spot. In a prior life… I was Asian… did you know that?! But… this did not bring me back to my prior life… food was horrible. Sauces were not homemade… they LOADED every food item with sauce. EVERYTHINGWASLOADED with sauce… and not that great tasting sauce either. TIPALERT– Sometimes little is more. TIP ALERT-The owners will see a huge savings in their pocketbooks if they reduced the sauce on their entrees. The crab Rangoon… they were ok. They had a weird flavor to me… The cream cheese was melted more than usually so it was more gooey… usually I would like this but I prefer the more clumpy crab rangoons. ANDDDD The sauce glasses that are feeled with spicy mustard and sweet & sour sauce… Those are poured into a large container at the end of the day and reused… some reason that struck me as being gross… I don’t know why since it is the same concept of using the jar on the table… but… just kind of gross… maybe they should do that behind the scene. This place gets 1 star from me… There were three adults and 2 kids… the three adults left half of their food on the table. The two kids ate theirs… Fried Rice— C Shanhai Noodle… D– Crab Rangoons D Three Happiness is not only improper English but it did not make me happy!

I don’t know why they have so many stars. I should have known by the odd name the quality and taste might be suspect. The crab ragoons were decent and kinda creamy. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like the sauce wasn’t homemade and it had a metal aftertaste. I won’t go back, even for the cheap prices.
