Spring Acres Apartments & Townhomes

Stay away from Spring Acres.
My wife and I have lived there the past 10 months. It started out great, they’re reasonably priced, and we’ve always felt safe. The issue I have is that when we did have a problem, we felt helpless when trying to get help from property management.
1. They have a massive bug problem.
We’ve been battling roaches for the past 5 months. Every few weeks they have exterminators out here, but it doesn’t seem to help. They came 5 times and we had to empty all our cabinets each time, only to find that the bug problem persisted.
2. Bats.
Yes, there are bats flying around in the walls. You can hear them when its quiet and quite frankly its pretty disturbing.
3. Management doesn’t care.
Is there an issue with your apartment? You might as well fix it yourself because all the office people are good for is taking your rent check each month.
4. Ridiculous leasing terms.
We signed up for a one year lease, we’re trying to leave at the end of our lease, but you have to give your 30 day notice EXACTLY 30 days before. Not one day sooner, or its considered breaking your lease and you get charged an exorbitant amount. So even though my wife and I are moving 15 days early, we cannot put in our notice or turn in our keys until EXACTLY 30 days prior. A huge waste of time to have to go back in.
5. Limited payment options.
While they offer online payment, it’s an extra $ 30 per month, so you’ll probably end up just writing a check each month.
