Dirty floors and tables, slow service. Nasty wilted salad bar. Tasteless red pasta sauce.

I have not been very impressed by this location. The salad bar is always a mess and doesn’t look fresh. I also feel like the whole restaurant is dirty.

I was pleased with my visit to this Spaghetti works. It was really crowded and the chairs are pretty small, but the salad bar was pretty clean and tasty as well as the rest of the food. The server was friendly and everything was served hot and fresh. It’s not too fancy, but for a unique low key Italian place, Spaghetti Works is a safe bet.

In town for business and I decided to swing by for a quick bite. Service was quick, portion was large and price was great. I had the bow tie pasta with meat sauce, steamed veggies and chicken — the order came with a healthy portion of garlic bread and also included all you can eat salad bar. Our server was attentive and made sure we felt comfortable and satisfied. Overall good experience will definitely swing by when in town.

I used to eat fairly regularly at the Spaghetti Works, but I won’t be going back anytime soon. At one time, their meat sauce was a rich, thick sauce with plenty of meat in it. The last time I went there, it had almost no meat, and was essentially red water with lots of bits of tomato and NO seasoning. It was bland and disgusting! Their meatballs are okay, but when a fast food place like Fazoli’s has better meatballs, that’s when you know Spaghetti Works has gone downhill. The service was okay, and the free drink refills were nice, but when the main reason for going there isn’t worth the trip, everything else is just useless.

There is no consideration for the customer here. One waiter that is overworked and everyone crowded together in his area. He tries to be considerate but test of staff works against him. I asked to sit near door and salad bar but was refused. Next family asked for a booth and was actually told no. This is unreal!!! Girls really wanted speg and that is only reason I stayed. It was awful! Place is cute to look at but staff makes it a never return location.

Never veer off their staple of all-you-can-eat pasta. It’s why they’ve been successful for 30+ years. If you want something different, try their grilled chicken salad. It’s outstanding. The salad bar is always consistently good. Small plates but fresh items. All their sauces appear to be fresh made. If they’re not pasty, sugary, and salty that actually means they’re made fresh daily. People who are used to jarred or canned sauces, sometimes think fresh homemade sauces are a little bland. Spaghetti Works wouldn’t have survived in Omaha all these decades if they were serving jarred sauces. Pasta is always cooked perfectly, every time. Only downer preventing me from a 4-star review is the lack of sauce on second and third helpings of pasta.

This is not fancy place but reasonably priced and good salad bar. Fast service and it is pretty clean. This is a place we’ve liked to go to with the kids and even they are older now, we still like to go.

Chicken Parmesan is good, served with Garlic Bread. Perfect for kids! And they serve cheeseburgers too! Nice friendly service.

It’s crap. But, it’s all you can eat crap, so they continue to thrive.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but was pleasantly surprised! Decent amount of veggies on the salad bar, and the spaghetti feast(meatballs, sweet Italian sausage, subbed in marinara) was super tasty and a better deal than the build-your-own. My hubby got the chicken w/peppers, onions, and cheese and that was really good too. His only complaint was the pesto cream sauce was more like Alfredo with pesto mixed in, but it is a ‘cream’ sauce… Also my sister’s kids ate their kids meals pretty enthusiastically. Finally, it’s cool they have all the flavored sodas on the menu(the coke freestyle machine options). If we lived here I’d be back.

Terrible! I went her for my birthday and got just bow tie noodle with original sauce and had a salad from the salad bar. The next morning I was violently ill(food poising) for 24 hours. NEVERAGAIN.

I have been going here since I was little(and the salad bar was in a bath tub) and the food is consistently good. It isn’t gourmet but if you want a decent, casual meal it is hard to beat their all-you-can-eat build your own pasta. The salad bar is basic, but good, and is included with every entrée. Their garlic and cheese bread are also tasty. The service is always friendly and it is pretty fast. It is a popular family restaurant so there are usually a lot of kids and it can be a little loud.

Great food and awesome service! The salad bar is always clean and well stocked. The hosts and wait staff are friendly and accommodating. The angel hair with spicy marinara is my favorite and the sauce is just the right amount of spicy. The garlic bread is good and not too heavy.

It is good for what it is. An all you can eat spaghetti place with plenty of noodlie options. I had fun and hope you do to should you stop.

Went here after work a few weeks ago and was pretty unimpressed. I got the meat and cheese ravioli with the spicy Italian sauce. Absolutely no frills pasta. Plain old raviolis boiled and put in a bowl and then covered with a ladleful of sauce. For $ 10? I can make it at home for $ 5 and it’d probably taste better. It’s not that it tasted bad… it’s just that it wasn’t anything special. Serves its purpose of satisfying some hunger… but no real depth of flavor at all. Salad bar’s pretty good and well tended. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Would I go back and spend, after a drink/tax/tip, $ 15 on a basic pasta dish? Probably not. Our waitress was great. She was running around after a 12 hr shift and refilling our drinks. Chatted a bit at the end of our meal — we were very appreciative of her attentive service. A+ in that regard.

Awesome. My favorite ever. Salad bar = delicious Get the ham chunks. Order beer cheese sauce and you won’t be disappointed. Service is always quick. If you are hungry, go here because you can get the salad bar, and right when you’re done your food will be on the table. Also, go for happy hour every day between 3−6pm. Half price drinks and appetizers! THEBEST!

I used to be a fan of the Spaghetti Works in the Old Market. That one went downhill a few years ago. I figured I’d give this one a chance when one of my friends invited me there. Ugh, I should have known better. This is probably the worst Italian place I’ve ever been to. I ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer for $ 5.99. It was plain and boring, not very tasty, and certainly too expensive for what we got. For my entrée, I ordered mostaccioli with spicy marinara, topped with provolone cheese. The salad bar comes with the pasta entrée. The base price of the spicy sauce is $ 6.49, with an additional 99 cents for the cheese. The salad bar was dismal. There was only some wilting iceberg lettuce(no spinach), a few veggies, and a pile of dirty plates. I dug around and found a reasonably clean looking plate because the bus boy wasn’t paying attention and didn’t realize that the salad bar had been out of plates for 15 minutes. I figured that my pasta would come served with shredded or at least melted cheese on top. Apparently the preferred way of putting cheese on pasta at Spaghetti Works is to take a slice of cheese out of a commercial package, lay it on the pasta, then top it with sauce. The cheese tasted exactly how it looked – governmental and unnatural. The sauce wasn’t very spicy and it certainly wasn’t very good. Keep in mind that if the food wasn’t bad enough, the atmosphere was worse! There was a family with what seemed like dozens obnoxious kids next to our table. Also, since we were dining a bit later at night, the staff was already trying to clean up the place for close(even though it wasn’t set to close for another hour). The pine scent of the industrial cleaner being used was overwhelmingly nauseating. I’ll never go to this place again. The mere thought of it reminds me of bad food and the scent of Pinesol.
