As a new vegetarian this was a hard place to eat at, but we received gift cards to outback for Christmas and why waste them? Our server was obviously pretty new, and a tad awkward, but that’s ok because we are too. ;P He made sure to keep our drinks full without having to ask and was very polite with any questions I had. One of those questions being if their French fries were vegetarian friendly, THEYARENOT, they’re fried in beef fat. I didn’t think about the fact that the bloomin’ onion we ordered probably was cooked in beef fat as well, so I stopped eating it, though I never asked. I felt pretty bad about that but you live and you learn. The fact I couldn’t order fries made me a little sad, but I got over it and snagged a yummy loaded sweet potato instead. I also had a side of broccoli and the mozzarella caprese salad which was okay, but very heavy on the fresh basil. Honestly though I expected it because most things labeled«‘caprese» are very basily. I ordered a side of broccoli which tasted good but they weren’t trimmed at all. I had to use a knife to do it myself, the fork couldn’t do the job. Hubby had a bloomin’ burger and liked it. I ordered a $ 4 BlackBerry martini and it was not good. It had the strangest taste of this chapstick I had in middle school that was supposed to taste like m&m’s. Not sure why it tasted like fake chocolate flavoring but it did, lol. The service was nice, but our waiter was pretty slow at getting our table cleared and getting our check but the manager came out and cleared it for us and was extremely friendly. I appreciated her coming to our table. The group next to us had a problem with their steak and sent it back twice and boxed it up when it came back the second time. That was a bit awkward but besides that it was a pretty good trip. Really good location for sure.

My husband and I worked very hard in the yard all day Saturday and decided after looking at the menu on line that the Outback would be a great place to get take away! Unfortunately we were quite wrong! We each ordered a steak, he ordered the portabello mushroom filet which looked great in the picture but was in reality a dried out maybe ¼ inch steak with a black price of something that he thinks was supposed to be the mushroom! The fries were mushy and his vegetables were also mushy. We ordered coconut shrimp for an appetizer and they were both excellent as usual! My filet was about ¼ inch thick and also dried out! We ordered 8 oz steaks on both of them I would have hated to see anything smaller! As much as this cost I seriously doubt we will ever go to the outback again!!!

went to outback today for our anniversary. Have never been there before. The waitress Leslie was wonderful. She was very helpful and answered all our questions. My husband had the sirloin with mushrooms, and I had the Alice chicken. They were both very good. Husband also had the clam chowder, which he said was the best he had tasted. I had the French onion soup, which I have to say, did not care for. We would definitely go again.

Just had lunch there… nasty! My husband’s burger was dripping grease when he took a bite. It had a funny taste to it. He had 2 bites and said he couldn’t stand it. I had the wedge salad. .First one had a balsamic sweet glaze added to it, yuck! Asked them to do it the regular way… the 2nd one had bits of RAW bacon on it. only 4 tables filled and I can see why, BAD food!

I’ve written a positive review for the 78th& Cass location but yesterday I tried this location for the first time with my mom for Mother’s Day. She had never been to an Outback and it’s where she wanted to go. Gladly, it did not disappoint — she loved it and wants to go back soon. We went around lunchtime right after church and with it being Mother’s Day I expected a wait but we were seated in a 2-person booth right away. They also had roses upon entry for the special occasion which was a nice bonus. We ordered off the simple Mother’s Day menu — choose a salad, choose either a sirloin & shrimp or a filet mignon(we had the latter), choose a side and then between either a slice of cheesecake or carrot cake for dessert. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Even the manager came to our table to ask how things were going. While perhaps not as good as The Drover where I ate a few weeks ago for my anniversary, Outback was still really, really good for the price. My mom called me up again today to say what a great time she had yesterday. :-)

Um yeah, so Outback… not what you think of when it comes to fine cuisine. I’m by no means a food snob, but I’ve always thought of it as just ok. I haven’t been here in a while, but I ate here last night and have to say the food was fantastic! I had the lobster tacos and kind of wish I could eat them again today! I also had some of the ahi tuna appetizer and it was great, too. Finally, I tried a new drink they had called a «Strawberry Smash». It is a Moscow Mule with muddled strawberries in it. Yum! I’m going to try to reproduce this at home! If you haven’t been to Outback in a while, check it out! You’ll be glad you did!

Haven’t eaten at Outback in years and always thought they were pretty pricey for what you get, but we had a gift card and a coupon AND it was my birthday… anyway, long story short, quite enjoyable. Steak(11 oz sirloins) were cooked perfectly, service very attentive. I might take away a quart of a star because I think the garlic-mashed potatoes could have used a tad more garlic. But the MEAT was the star. And you couldn;t beat the price… two adults ate steak dinners with soft drinks for under $ 25INCLUDING the tip. Guess we’ll try it again sometime.

Never had a bad meal at any Outback Steakhouses. Party of eight and they didn’t make the bill pretipped. Prime rib was had by two. One medium rare and one rare. Both looked very appetizing to me. My wife and I hat the Outback special which was done just right for the both of us, rare for me and medium rare for her. Coconut shrimp and blooming onion for appetizers. Coconut shrimp aren’t as good as Joes Crab shack but it gets the job done.

Might as well call this place outbutt shithouse. The waitress came back three different times within 4 minutes to see if I was ready to order. I was pretty much forced to order after the third time. The ribeye was cooked wrong twice. Now my farts smell weird. Won’t be back

Chain restaurants often go downhill within the first few years but Outback had been around for years and I’m still impressed with their quality and consistency. Yes, this isn’t the most amazing steak in Omaha, it’s true. But, it’s pretty darn good, and comes with some delicious sides! My asparagus was excellent! Love the new small plates«happy hour» menu and the service here is some of the best in Omaha. Better than most stuffy, pretentious, trendy places. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The manager came by to check on us and my son asked for a horseradish sauce for his steak, the manager immediately accommodated himself right away. Having amazing, friendly, attentive service really made our meal so much better and made a chain place completely standout. Place gets 5 stars because of it! Will return for sure!

I ordered take away for lunch today. I have some dietary restrictions so was looking to order a piece of steak and grilled chicken. I told the man on the phone I wanted NO sides and NO bread but he could go ahead and charge me for them if its easier. The man who took my order and brought the food out to me was very nice but my overall impression totally ruined after this. I see a giant bag. Oh god what’s in the bag. He told me they went ahead and added sides! WTF they added vegetables… Which is fine I guess Then a baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese AND a loaf of bread. This was so rude and inconsiderate. Believe me I wanted to eat all of those yummy sides so badly but I physically can’t. Smelling them was like torture. When I said no sides I meant it! I told the man it would be wasted! The chicken was delicious and juicy. Although seemed more like it was seared in butter rather than grilled. The steak was a little tough and over cooked for my liking. But hey, what do you expect it’s a chain.

Really slow service, good came out cold, TINY portions for the price($ 17 for four tiny shrimp, a small salmon chunk and a side salad?!). The appetizer trio was good. Overall, it hasn’t gotten any better since the last time I said I’d never come back. Thank goodness for a gift card, didn’t have to burn my own cash.

The wait staff and the management impressed me. I believe the manager is new. At any rate, when she came around to the waiting customers with samples of prime rib and pork tenderloin, I was charmed. I got the pork tenderloin and was quite satisfied. It was a good evening.

Why is it that whenever we do a family dinner and want steak, living in the mecca of good beef, my family and I always end up at a chain? Odd. Anyway, this time we did Outback off 132nd, as the Cass St location failed miserably last time. Well last I checked, a steak ordered medium-rare does not equal well-done. The manager came over to inspect everything, and he did a phenomenal job of correcting the mistake and basically had the kitchen redo our entire order. He took excellent care of us and did a stellar job of making sure we left happy, and after all, thats the important part. We were thrilled with the customer service we received, and when everything was corrected and cooked to order, the food was great. They have excellent side salads here, though the break basket is standard fare and really nothing special. Outback sirloin is definitely satisfactory. Overall, I want to give 3.5 stars for food, and 4 for the customer service. The manager is really on top of his job, and was the prime example of what a good manager should be. We’ll definitely be back.
