Stopped in here because I was starving, yet wary of the mixed reviews. Despite the reviews, I ordered the brisket wrap and got it with pineapples, extra slaw, fresh veggies, and both pineapple bourbon and spicy bbq sauces. The size of the wrap was comparable to a chipotle burrito, and honestly not that much cheaper than one. The cost was about $ 9 for this thing with a side of 50 cent salsa after tax which came with free tortilla chips. Cost aside, the brisket wrap was delicious. It’s possible the ravaging hunger had something to do with it, but it really was good. The brisket was tender and the flavor of the meat mixed with the various sweet/spicy sauces and fresh ingredients hit the spot. The service was very friendly, and the food good. I recommend giving this place a try, however I wouldn’t say it’s way cheaper than other places like other reviews claim.

Subpar. The only way I can react to it is by referring to it as how the Avengers looked trying the Schwarma.

New York Burrito is a build-your-own burrito joint similar to Chipotle or Qdoba, but I much prefer NYB because of their more diverse flavor palette. They have a BBQ Brisket burrito that comes with brisket, cole slaw, and pineapple, along with toppings of your choice… I usually get the hot salsa, pico de gallo, and jalapeños on it, and the result is simply amazing. What a convergence of flavor! Even if you don’t get the brisket, you can custom-build Chipotle style but with a much wider range of choices and with similar or lower pricing.

Immediately following our meal, my boyfriend became sick and actually threw up. I had an upset stomach. The people working there are nice but the food is not worth the price(even if we didn’t get sick, wouldn’t go back). Why they call it New York, I don’t know. I’ve never had a burrito like that in the big city. And they call them wraps, so again. Why burritos? Order with caution if you do go. I had the BBQ brisket, which it wasn’t brisket. It was loaded with sugar. My boyfriend had the peanut butter chicken, which again was loaded with sugar and had only a small taste of peanut butter. The meats, when we looked at them as they were making it, was sitting in water.

Loved the service and food here! If you’re afraid of something different, don’t go — but if you’re willing to expand your horizons to brisket with spanish rice and pineapple in a wrap then go! It’s outstanding if you’re willing to take the advice of the servers. They will do you right!

The service was excellent the food was fresh and the prices awesome. After I got done building my burrito it was huge. I commented to the server/owner that he was not going to be able to close it but he did. Go in and see Don the owner and you will be a customer for life.

In my opinion, NYB doesn’t compare to Chipotle or even Qdoba. The seasoned beef looked like it had been sitting out a while. I will give them credit for offering a fair amount of options for you burrito as well as free chips. Overall though, it was just ok.

Do you want a burrito, but you hate Mexican food? Are you sick of ingredients that have pesky things like flavor, and quality? Do you want to eat at a place that looks like the set from an episode of Saved by the Bell? Do you want a vegetarian burrito, but still have to pay extra for guacamole(if you can call the green paste they dumped that). But seriously, this place is a fossil from a bygone era when Americans would only eat ethnic food if it was whitewashed to within an inch of it’s life. It’s so offensively bland that I to call it a burrito is offensive. They realize this themselves and bill everything as wraps on the menu but still have the cactus next to the world trade center(!?!) on their door. Seriously, this place is a pain to get to tucked away on Old Mill and the amount of energy you expend turning into the parking lot isn’t worth it. Pass.

Chipotle can’t compare… and if I hadn’t eaten at Flying Burrito before, New York Burrito would have bee a 5 for me. I was telling a coworker how much I wish we had a better option that Chipotle around here and he pointed me in the direction of New York Burrito. I couldn’t wait to get there to try it out. They have many different options and combinations for burritos, bowls, etc. I went with a chicken burrito on the jalapeño cheddar tortilla. One of my favorite features was the ability to add some nacho cheese to the burrito. Having that hot liquid cheese in there added so much! The prices beat the heck out of Chipotle, too. This will definitely become a regular stop for me.

One of the reviews that I saw regarding this place was that the portions were small. I assumed that this review was written by some giant hungry person who is one of the reasons that most restaurant portions are about twice what any reasonable person could eat. But to my surprise, this person was right, and the burritos are small. I went with the type of burrito where I selected my own toppings. I don’t think that sour cream was a topping here so it is a challenge to make a super fatty burrito like at Chipotle. And I hardly noticed the medium salsa on my burrito at all. Is Nebraska one of the states that does not believe in spicy food? I am not sure. I have never eaten in Nebraska before. The one good part about the burrito was that the marinated steak actually tasted like meat. There are a number of burrito wrap flavor choices.

My favorite burrito joint in town! Tons of choices for fresh toppings, free side of chips, friendly people behind the counter, and won’t break the bank. I like to swing by here to pickup a relatively healthy and definitely hearty lunch and head back to the office to chow down. Good stuff — one of those things I crave.

Before Chipotle. Before Q’doba. Tired of paying $ 10 for a burrito or wrap and only having 5 choices of what you can get on it? While the aforementioned burrito establishments each have about 1 option for my vegetarian friends, NYB has multiple meat-free options that actually taste good. For those of us with a taste for blood, NYB offers the best selection of options, plus you can get chips and a drink without breaking the bank. Go with the original, instead of a knock-off owned by the Big Mac Empire.
