Fetas is a lot better than Nalinis. The food here is very very greasy. Our burger was over cooked and very dry so it is not amazing like they claim it to be because they can’t even cook a burger correctly. Also the gyros we got was on top a pile of grease so the pita bread was super soggy. The good things were the hot sauce that was on the gyro, Greek potatoes, and my sons chicken fingers were great!!! The lady behind the counter was not as friendly as the people who worked at Fetas… she just didn’t seem as welcoming and seemed to be annoyed that I used a Groupon. I will be sticking to Fetas on 114th and Dodge because that one did not close!!!

This was my second time visiting Nalini’s since they came under new ownership and changed their name. Their gyros are just as good as Feta’s, if not a little better. I particularly like their hot and extra hot gyro options. The lady behind the counter is very friendly and remembered my coworkers and me, even though we haven’t been here for several months. She also thanked me for posting a photo to Unilocal on that last visit! We have had Nalini’s cater a party of 40 people and were VERY pleased with how that food turned out. I didn’t set it up or pay for it, so I can’t speak to the value of the catering, but the food was excellent.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here since the name/ownership change and it was great. The philly original gyro is my fave because of all the veggies — they don’t skimp! They’re big chunks of onions, peppers, mushrooms & tomatoes. The portion is huge and I haven’t been able to finish it at lunch. The greek potatoes are the perfect side. I haven’t dined in, but grab & go at lunch during the week. Service is always great and my food is ready quickly, as promised.

I went to my favorite gyro place and found out it had changed owners. Feta’s is now Nalini’s. Inside looks haven’t changed much, still a fast food vibe. Still order at the counter. I ordered their original gyro. When it was Feta’s I always ordered an extra side of tzaziki so I ordered it like usual and found I didn’t need it, my gyro came with a bunch of tzaziki on top. I didn’t order anything else but what I got was great. They have added burgers, shakes and onion rings to the menu and more desserts that look awesome. In particular I’m looking forward to trying the gyro burger topped with gyro meat and the fire and ice burger topped with jalapeños and tzaziki! One more good trip like this and I’ll be able to say Nalini’s has supplanted Feta’s as my go to for gyros.
