Michele’s All Breeds Pet Grooming

Our Yorkie moved to Omaha from Washington DC. Gets pampered at Michele’s once a month. Loves going to the salon and always comes back with a great killer look. They do a great job and would highly recommend them.

Wonderful!!! Took my black lab and my little terrier mix in for complete groomings. The dogs looked great and are very happy! Personnel were very friendly and helpful. This is my second time taking both of them in and I will do it again! Thanks to the staff! If you need a fancy salon go somewhere else but if you want the grooming done right go to Michele’s. I went to their self serve dog wash because unfortunately my favorite one was closed. I just want people to know the basic facts; you are shut in a small room with your dog and given two bottles of unknown solution, mostly water and maybe a little dish soap (I wouldn’t know, no label). You also get two very nasty, dank, torn, small towels that are covered in balled up old dog hair. This is all you receive. No brushes, no conditioner. They do give you two small cotton balls with some alcohol on them, so super. The people that work here are unhelpful and very far from having any idea how to run a business or be kind to customers. To top it all off, my self serve dog bath was $ 15 (the same price as other wonderful local dog washes that provide you with a plethora of amenities) and they only take cash or check. I am currently driving to a nearby ATM to withdraw $ 20 and be charged an ATM fee to pay this dirty, scummy facility. I’m not able to muster up what it would take to get in a trailer trash hick argument with the owner so this is the best I can do.
Bottom line; do not bring your dog here, beyond sub-​par facility and staff.

Called ahead to inquire about the self service. Lady on the phone was very helpful. Explained I had worked there many many years ago in it’s other location so she knew I was a groomer. Told her the bread of dog I had (Newfoundland) She told me the price. I drove the 3 hours as there is now service like this in my area I have moved to and I have yet to set up my salon. I arrive and bring in my equipment, I didn’t hide it, it’s a big equipment box. I bring in my 175 pound Hairy dog. They bring me 2 small towels (Syd is big so I blow that off) I sat on the floor and clipped Syds hair before putting him in the bath. I had started bathing him when a «groomer» knocked on the door offering me ear cleaner. When she entered she asked if I was cutting his hair in there. I said yes and she said you can’t do that in here. I said ok and she again said in a firmer tone, You can’t do that in here the only thing you can do is bath and use the dryer. I again said alright. I dried Syd best I could with the towels in the tub and then used the HV dryer they supply. After getting a good portion of the water off of him I moved him to the floor to finish drying him. Mind you, no other equipment was used other than their dryer at this point. Now being a groomer for over 25 years I have an idea what I’m doing when I’m drying a dog with this much hair and undercoat and also how much hair blows off if you do it right! So should any one else that claims to be a groomer. I finished and told the lady at the counter I was taking Sydney out to the car and would be back to get my stuff. I came back in and packed up, went to the counter to pay and gave a tip and said to give it to whoever has to clean in there cause there was a lot of hair. I did pick up all the hair I had clipped off before the bath and stuffed it in the small garbage cans before putting him in the tub. She said thank you and I went out to my car. I called a friend to meet with her since I was in town. As I sat there on the phone I noticed the «groomer» who had coming in the bathing room was coming to my car. I figured I had left something in there. Boy was I wrong! I rolled down my window and was hit with «I don’t know if you think that is F’ing funny?» I just said «what?» She then went off about how she told me not to do any more grooming in there that their insurance doesn’t cover it and they are a grooming shop why would they let me groom my own dog in there? I was shocked, well not really like I stated before I worked there. Any how I explained to her that if she actually knew how to groom she would know that when you have a 175 pound Newfoundland and you use a HV dryer there is going to be a lot of hair that blows off and that I didn’t use anything but the dryer after she came in the room. She walked away mumbling choice words. I just though WOW! Some things never change! As I drove out I notice another self serve dog wash right next door on Pacific St. I went in there and told them of my issue and they let me come in and finish clipping Syd up so I was happy with the way he looked. I offered to clean up and she said not to worry about it and didn’t even charge me, well she did want to take a picture of Sydney. Guess where I will go if I need this service ever again?

Since it’s a bit closer to our house and the sign by the road said offered $ 40 grooming, we thought we’d take our cocker in for an appointment. We love our other groomer, but she’s booked far in advance and she’s a bit farther away in proximity, so we thought we’d try someone else. We’re all for convenience after all.
Walking in, they had no record of our appointment and seemed a bit disorganized and disheveled, but had no problems accommodating our appointment. It’s a pet grooming establishment, so don’t be surprised by the hair flying about EVERYWHERE.
Picked up our little guy four hours later. He looked pretty good. The cut was slightly uneven in areas, but no one else seems to notice, which is good — kinda like when you have a bad hair day but everyone else thinks you’re hair looks great (or maybe their just lying to me).
They also offer self wash, which seems like an awesome option for folks with a bigger dog, especially in the winter.

My daughter took her young puppy pomarian in to get advice on grooming, it was an awesome experience highly recommend, they also do Lucy nails without an appt !!!
