Came here for the first time the other day and wow am I glad I did… Today was my second visit and I got the peanut butter chicken… As a fan of Three Happiness’s PB Chicken, I was very happy and pleased with what I got here… While they don’t appear to give you quite as much, it’s still pretty damn good, with a taste that’s almost dead similar to TH… The fried rice is also very good and they totally load you up on it… The egg roll was ok, but not entirely bad… Price was very favorable and if it wasn’t for them closing at 3pm, like every other place in the general vicinity, I’d say they were perfect… I’ll totally come here again…

This place is my all-time favorite place for Chinese! My favorites are the Mongolian Chicken, Basil Chicken, and Kimchi Fried Rice! So flavorful and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Another plus is that they’re always adding new items to try!

This place is located in the lower level of the Brandeis building, in a food court area. A common place for those working downtown to come grab a quick lunch. Similar to your mall food court Chinese place. The food is decent and the service is fast, a good combination when you need to grab a quick bite and get back to work. Nothing extraordinary, but no complaints either.

I just moved into one of the apartments in the Brandeis building and stopped down here for lunch while I was working from home. It’s a small family run fast Chinese lunch counter. I was feeling vegetarian and ordered the tofu with mixed vegetables extra spicy. I liked that they used the fried tofu instead of the regular kind and there was a good variety of vegetables. It still could’ve been spicier but I fixed that myself when I got upstairs. All in all a quick, cheap, decent place to grab lunch. Too bad they’re closed by the time I get home :(

Where does one go for lunch in a foreign town? Follow the crowd, and that I did to the food court of the First National building downtown. Skip the franchises and try for something local and(by appearances) family run — thus I chose Mandarin Express. The long line was a good sign that this place has a good reputation with the locals. Being a creature of habit, I went for the shrimp lomein — it was delicious(well, except for the mushrooms — a childhood aversion that I have never overcome). Just the right amount of soy sauce in the noodles, a good mix of vegetables, and lots of medium size shrimp. The portion size was perfect for lunch — I was full but not so full that I would be drowsy back at work. Recommended!
