This is my all time go-to spot for an amazing breve. I have had breves from other coffee shops around town and they just don’t compare. The atmosphere is super casual and always full of cool people. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill spot with great coffee.

Great little coffee shop in the midtown area. It’s the places like this that make midtown great. Small local place just doing business right. The coffee shop has a ton of character and charm. Staff was friendly and attentive, can tell they want your business and understand customer service. Definitely a repeat is in order, a nice walk(weather permitting) in the future, sit enjoy and be thankful it’s not another mass market soul-less coffee shop.

Super friendly staff! Great selection of comics and trade paperbacks as well as other fun games including magic the gathering! The attached coffee shop is also amazing! Try the Tony Stark! :)

Coffee is good, but let’s be real who goes to a comic book store to drink coffee :) jk. I absolutely freaking love this place and the crowd there is awesome. I could literally go here everyday and find something knew to read and someone new to talk to. Plus they stay current on all the comics. LOVELOVELOVE this place.

This place is an Omaha gem. It won a freaking Eisner Award! And the only reason I know what that is is because Legends got me into comic books almost single handedly. There are no archetypal, condescending«comic book nerds» working here, only friendly people who love comics and clearly want to spread and share that passion. Coffee isn’t bad either. Something about that hardwood floor and coffee smell in there is addictive. This place makes me want to have kids just so I can take them here and buy them cool comics and make them excited comic book people. And how many places in Omaha can claim to make you«want to have kids»?!

When we moved to Omaha, we were very disappointed to find the other stores«out west«had decided that Comic book Guy, from the Simpsons fame, wasn’t a caricature, but a business model. Neither my wife or I had collected and read for a number years, like since the Carter administration, and we’re basically treated as less than worthy, even when we made significant purchaes. Enter Legends. They have none of the pretentiousness of the other guys. They have a great, friendly staff, great selection of TPB’S and single issues, and will special order anything you request. They will answer your questions, no matter if you want to re-live your childhood, or find something new, they are willing to help. Great location and wonderful staff. A note, the bathrooms are like a plumber from the future traveled back in time to Rome and brought it all to Omaha. I am at pains to think what this gem cost. A thing of beauty hidden in a thing of beauty.

One of my favorite places to hang out in Omaha. Not fancy schmancy coffee, but they get good pastries from the german place across the street, staff are cool and atmosphere is very chill. I go there at least once a week.

The coffee here is amazing, very flavorful and strong. Plus, the baristas make incredible mixed coffee drinks with fun comic names. The phosphate drinks are a great alternative to pop if you’re feeling adventurous, too. The pastries are fresh every morning, and a definite pick me up. Bonus, the baristas are very friendly!

I’ve been going there most weeks for over a year now — good coffee, great aesthetic, cool people, donuts from Gerda’s across the street, nice atmosphere — a great place to chill and get work done.

I’ve had better coffee, but the shop has a great atmosphere and their phosphate sodas are excellent. I did buy a graphic novel there and enjoyed it while sitting in the café area. I also like how they set aside items for customers who come in on a regular basis. They’re friendly as well. I’ve visited a few times and I’ll definitely be coming back.

A comic book store… and a coffee shop. You get 4 stars just for thinking this up. Come on. Genius. Had to hit a writing deadline this past Friday but was too intimidated by Archetype — the closest I get to coffee is a bottled Starbucks frappucino. I am a Philistine when it comes to the stuff. Hate to admit it. Decided on Legend because I do love me a good Chai tea latte, and Legend did not disappoint. Service was top notch — cashier/server/barista even asked how my morning was going. A very pleasant fellow. Chai tea latte was *perfect*, seating was ample and the big bonus was outlets. My Mac was low on juice and the floor outlet beneath my table did just the trick. Oh, and the cheese Danish I got was really, really good. And fresh! Yummmm. Hit my deadline with time to spare and will definitely go back to write when I’m in the neighborhood.

Not sure I’ve ever seen more trade paperbacks in the same place. Lots of tables for gaming, good coffee. What more could one want?

You want geekness. Get your butt in here. This is the palace geekdum. No doubt one of the best comic shops from a environment perspective. ;-). Great people. And selection of comics.

Everyone here is so friendly. The staff and the people that shop there are welcoming. The coffee is good, especially the Tony Stark Mocha! It is a place to just sit and hangout with your friends. On May 3rd it is free comic book day, definitely coming here!

The friendly staff, clean facility, quiet ambiance, stellar comic selection, and delicious coffees make Legends a great spot to study, work, and/or unwind.

I love this place. I live about a block away and I try to make it over at least 1x a week. The staff is really knowledgeable and very helpful. I have gotten some great recommendations and have no problem finding my favorite comics. I love the attached coffee shop. It’s a great place to sit and study or read a new graphic novel. My kind of a place.

In only a few years, Legend has become Omaha’s best shop for comics and graphic novels. Add in a super-convenient midtown location and a coffee shop, and I have a place to hang out for hours on end, either working or reading. Plus they have a comedy open mic every other Monday, if you’re into that sort of thing. Seriously, it’s places like this that make Omaha a special city.

My go-to place for comics.(And that super rare occasion that I feel like coffee.) The staff are exceptional — truly, if every place I went to had people as friendly as Legends, the world would be a happy beautiful peaceful place. I guess that sounds a bit cheesy, but I think that Superman is cheesy too, so whatever. I’ve heard from my bff that this is a great place for Friday Night Magic too, although I haven’t been. Once again, the people who work here kick it up a notch.

What do I love more… comics or coffee? Ultimately who am I kidding, they’re no comparable, and luckily you don’t have to choose here. The new Legend location is a vast improvement over their old shop, and anything they don’t have, they will get for you. Super helpful staff, friendly owners, free browsing of ‘used’ graphic novels in the coffee shop, tons of events(including trivia)… and I hear you can even pick up your pull list via the drive through. I might be at 4 stars with the coffee, but the main event here is really the comics and graphic novel wall, which easily pulls things up to a solid 5.

Popped in on a Saturday morning, after discovering this place on Urbanspoon. The bf was excited as it was part comic book store(his love) part coffee store(my love). It it the best of both worlds for us. The comic book store half wasn’t opened(we were there around 0830, so understandable) but we peered in and were Geek’n out at the Dotor Who, Game of Thrones merchandise that happens to preside in the coffee shop portion of the store. It’s nicely decorated, and their community board is VERY up to date– which I find a huge plus when you’re talking coffee shops. The community board was full of info for art workshops and other things that would interest people wondering into a comic/coffee store. We grabbed a quick hot chocolate as we were just checking out what this place was about– and it was yummy. We’ll deffinately be back during comic book store hours to check that out– but it was nice to know that the two store run on different schedules even though they share the same space. Also the coffee shop has a drive thru! Bonus! P. S. If using Google maps to find this place… it’s incorrect– this shop is located directly at the T intersection of 52nd street and Leavenworth.(We drove by a few times thinking we had drove past it when we were using google maps). For a landmark– it’s directly across from Gerda’s German bakery– which for the record also has delicious food.
