I would not recommend this place. With so many to choose from you would think they would be a lot nicer. The first time I was there the lady doing my pedicure tipped herself $ 20 by not giving me back my change on a $ 20 pedicure. The second time the three of us felt as though we were not wanted there. They were very rude to us. For example when we were done they just stood up and walked away. We did not even know we were done. My daughter asked about getting a design but was told«I don’t do designs» three different people worked on my feet. My toes looked bad when they were done. We were very disappointed! It was suppose to be a special time for my mother, me and my daughter. Not going back.

First time I have tried this palace and got the older guy. I only saw one man in the whole place. He was the worst. Grumpy and not nice from beginning I should have asked for someone else. His leg, foot and hand massages lasted a total of 4 mins for all of them. He barely did a hand massage on my left hand maybe 20 seconds. He did not clear my cuticles on hands and did minimal on toes. He used small cutters to get sides of nails and left red marks and one finger was sore the day after. Toe nails were cut so short. I never cut them that short and he didn’t ask length. And they are not cut straight they are at an angle. I wish I could say the nail polish was done well but no. He left a gap between my cuticle and nail color probably because he did such a bad job on them. Save your money.

I would not recommend this place and I will never go back. I went in for an express pedicure. First of all, my toenails were cut at such a deep angle when they should be cut straight across. While trimming my toenails, the guy took a chunk of my skin and I was bleeding. Rather than trimming my cuticle with scissors, he used a sander and he also used the sander on my toenails. I am pretty sure a layer will need to grow back. At the end of the pedicure, he put lotion on my legs, the lotion was SOHOT, he had to take it off right away. I did not get one apology from the person working on me. Do not go to this place.

Most people know that just within a couple of miles of this place(156 maple), you can find a ton of nail salons. I should have known when i walked into a mostly empty salon at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon that there might be a reason. I received a very short, unenthusiastic greeting of «What do you need? Pick a color.» I told the gal that I’d seen a coupon for a pedi with hot stones and massage, etc… for $ 25 and asked how much it was regular(since i didnt have the coupon). She pulled out a brochure with 2 options… a regular pedi with orange peels, massage, and foot care… for$ 26 and the luxury pedi with tons of stuff for $ 42. Since i like to get one about every other week and generally spend $ 25 on a great experience with hot stones and massage, etc… lasting 45 min-an hour as a walk-in at other salons(Pretty Nails is my favorite!), I figured the $ 26 one would be the equivalent… NOTTHECASE. This gal was very uninterested in doing a pedi. i barely got my toenails trimmed, a light scrub… more costs $ 5 extra. certainly no hot stones, about1 minute massage… in and out, full polish in 30 min. It was like the express pedi that most places offer for $ 15-$ 19. Extremely disappointing. So now instead of 12 chairs with 4 patrons/6 employees on a Saturday afternoon, they will have 3… a waste of time and $$$.

I’ve been here twice now, both times I was not satisfied with my nails. On my 1st visit I got a pedicure and a gel manicure underneath shellac. The pedicure was good, nice, clean and comfortable salon. However my gel/shellac manicure chipped the next day, a big chunk broke off! I noticed the lady didn’t put the gel or polish completely over my nails so there were gaps near the sides and cuticles. A friend said they will do this to get you to return sooner. I decided to give them one more shot, returning less than 2 weeks later and this time it can see tiny bubbles under my polish. I do expect immaculate nail when I leave and both times something went wrong, way too soon. I won’t be returning.

I don’t think I’ll come back. We had a coupon from valpack so thought we’d try it. Came with my mom, cousin and sister in law. Walked in, was rudely asked what we wanted, told to pick a color. My nails turned out okay, definitely see ana if you go there… She was nice. Didn’t like their pedicure, basically included no massage.

Wendy and her staff do a wonderful job at making my experience special each time. Their prices are reasonable, they do an excellent job, and they remember your name and don’t rush you through like some other nail salons nearby that are in the business for quantity not quality. Kala Nail is definitely focused on quality! Love the remodel too! I get a bi-monthly shellac manicure and my nails are the healthiest they have ever been! Thanks Wendy!
