Quality cupcakes with several interesting flavors. I was surprised that they also serve food, but only purchased a few cupcakes.

This has definitely been one of the highlights of my trip to Omaha. Being walking distance from my hotel doesn’t hurt either. They have a wonderful collection of cupcakes and their cheesecake is to die for. Their cupcakes are also at a very reasonable price of $ 3.25. The staff was very friendly and I received quick service on every visit. Don’t let the name fool you, they also have a salad bar(in case, for some reason, you feel the need to balance out the calories from you cupcake with that a salad). It is a great place to grab a quick dessert or satisfy a sweet tooth.

Seriously, if you want a great moist cupcakes, with perfect not overly sweet frosting, you have to try Jones Bros. Their Red Velvet’s are too die for and I’ve tried other cupcake shops across the state and have yet to find one that is better. The cream cheese frosting isn’t overly sweet and is so creamy and delicious! My mom loves their chocolate cupcakes as well! Also, their new Cookie Dough ones are super yummy! The staff is always super nice and helpful and have no issues explaining what was in certain cupcakes. Highly recommend them to anyone wanting a great cupcake!

Stopped in with my daughter and got her a treat after a tough day, got the cupcakes to go. ALWAYS check the box! Got back to our hotel to sit outside and have our treat and they were awful! 3 of them came apart in the box and they all tasted old. We will not be back.

My husband and two kids ate here recently. The line was long and it took quite awhile to place our order. They had several employees working, but it seemed difficult for them to manage the number of customers. Many tables went uncleared the whole time we were there so people had no place to sit. We waited for 30 min for our food to be done. We saw that our food was ready on the counter and sat there for several minutes before an employee brought it over. He brought the food over, sat it down and left without saying anything. He didn’t bring silverware with our food. Multiple tables around us were very upset about the wait for food. My husband enjoyed his french dip very much. My falafel salad was very plain and seemed to be missing something. The cost was way too high for what we received. A table behind us asked for something. The employee told them it «wasn’t his job» to get that, but he would see if another employee could do that. The décor and branding is just beautiful in the restaurant. It would be wonderful to see their customer service improve!

So so… I had a cinnamon Cronut and a Nutella Cronut, they were ok but more like a very dense donut, which is the exact opposite of how I like my donuts and croissant. I expect them both to be light and airy in texture. The sweet and salty cupcake was good, not the best I’ve ever had but good.

I guess this is a review of the chain in general, and I am sure many wont agree… but I don’t really care for the cupcakes here. I LOVE cupcakes and everyone raves about this place, but I have had cupcakes from both locations and the problem is always the same for me… too much frosting and too sweet! I am a fan of frosting… but I don’t need 3 inches of it on top of my cupcake, and if there is gonna be so much lets hope it has a little more flavor instead of just super sweet. That being said the only cupcake I have had here that I really did like a lot was the Maple Bacon cupcake :)

I ordered the French Dip and it was very good. My friend had the Chicken Salad and it was not good. It was ground up and very bland. Disappointing. Cupcakes are good but way too much frosting. Service is very friendly.

I love cupcakes, and was very excited to try some of the best Omaha had to offer at Jones Bros. My brother and his wife love this place, and I was psyched to visit a «Cupcake Wars» winner! The shop itself is clean, with friendly and attentive staff, and plenty of seating areas if you choose to dine-in(although it has a fast-foody, almost sterile feel to it… not like a cozy cupcake/dessert boutique). My brother was really bummed to learn that just two days prior to my visit, and our first of two trips here during that time, they had changed policies and no longer featured a «cupcake of the day». His favorite, the s’mores cupcake, was no longer being made(according to our conversation with one of the servers). They have a regular menu now with a few rotating specials just on the weekend, but it seems that all the cupcake of the day flavors are all being shelved… at least for now. Kind of a let down. I had the Sweet and Salty chocolate cupcake and the Hi-Hat(or Hi-Top?) cupcake. Both were good, but not great. The cashier told me the Hi-Hat was his favorite because biting into merengue topping(dipped in chocolate like an ice cream cone) is like biting into ice cream. I beg to differ. It’s good, but the merengue is a lot more wet and gloopy than the kind of merengue I was expecting.(see my pics for more detail) I didn’t try any of their regular food items, but my sister-in-law got the potato soup on my last day and said it tasted more like a cheese soup, with some potatoes thrown in, and was a bit disappointed in that.

If you want a good experience at Jones Bros, go to the Aksarben location. I can’t explain how many times we heard«I’m sorry about that.» They forgot our latte, and the guy quickly said, «our cook decided to not show up.» Some things are just better left unsaid.

I use Jones Brothers for catering from time to time, and they always do a great job. They have a very good Cobb Salad and a variety of sandwiches and wraps. Their homemade chips are also fantastic with a very addicting garlic type salt that makes you want to eat them by the bucket. They are mostly known for their cupcakes, and they make some great cupcakes. I like to order these for a nice gift pack. Some of the flavors they have include: Vanilla, Black & White, Chocolate, Sweat & Salty, Chocolate & Raspberry, Strawberries & Cream, Ice Cream Sundae, Turtle Brownie, Tiramisu, Smores, Snickers, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Strawberry Lemonade, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Mint, Mocha, Root Beer Float, German Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, and Cheesecake. The don’t have all of these everyday, but you can special order whatever you need in advance. They also can make these into mini cupcakes if you have a larger group to feed, or just want smaller portions so you can try a lot of flavors. I would defiantly recommend checking this place out for lunch or for desert.

First off, I’m glad this Jones Bros wasn’t the first one I’ve ever experienced. If it was, I most likely would not come back. Late in the afternoon on a Saturday, I decided I was craving Jones Bros. I figured if the one in Aksarben is good, this should be the same. I went through the drive thru and started asking if they had any Cronuts left. The man said they had two flavors left, nutella and the regular cronut. I asked for Nutella as well as a specialty coffee.(Keep in mind hardly anyone was inside and no one else was in the drive thru.) I pul up to the window to pay the man. He comes back informing the Nutella Cronut is gone! Gone! Why would he agree that I was able to order it and than when I pull up to the window, its gone! Strike one. I did end up getting the regular cronut which was stale. I mean, it was almost as if the Cronut had been sitting their for days. Strike two. My specialty coffee was the last thing to come out. It took 15 minutes! 15 minutes with little to no customers. And when I did finally taste it, it just wasn’t up to par. Strike three. I honestly didn’t understand what was wrong with this particular Jones Bros. Maybe it was the time of day or what, but it was disappointing. If I crave Jones Bros, I’m heading to the one in Aksarben. Much better service!

I had returned to this Jones Brothers today, after visiting here when it first opened last year. It seems like the staff has laxed off and may not be as enthusiastic as when they first opened. $ 3.50 seems a little steep for a cupcake, even though it was Gluten-Free. They had signs on the wall advertising 3 different types of Gluten Free cupcakes, but when I asked they just had Red Velvet, which my wait nonchalantly placed in my box from a tray e brought out from the back.

I’ve been pretty skeptical about this place and I just really needed a reason to write about it and finally after my third time to this location, I finally really have a reason to write about Jones Bros Cupcakes in west Omaha. At first, we were trying to find a place that had coffee, but all of the places I wanted to go to were closed. It was about 7:40pm. Yes, it may be late for coffee, but I love coffee so much I will drink it at any time of day. Needless to say, we were driving around looking for a place that was open, besides Starbucks, and my husband remembered Jones Bros Cupcakes served coffee. So, we made a trip here. We ventured through the drive thru, but after seeing all of the selections on the menu, we decided to go inside rather than hold up the line in the drive thru. Inside, it is a very spacious restaurant. Way too big for the amount of people that were inside at the time, but very clean and organized. The counter has a case for cupcakes and cakes as well as a gelato area. Their menu claims they make their gelato from organic milk, so I am already a fan. Hopefully, it is true. We added to our coffee order(previously in the drive thru, I ordered a coffee with mocha flavoring) a mac and cheese, a raspberry cheesecake, a trifecta(salad with cranberry dressing and a black and white cupcake), and a pistachio gelato. First off, the girl who helped us at the counter was not very friendly but the manager made up for it and was super friendly. The food was really good! I really liked the mac and cheese, even though there was bacon in it and I hate bacon. My husband’s salad, which claims is made with free range chicken, was also very tasty. The cranberry dressing was the best I’ve had! The pistachio gelato was very creamy so much so it tasted like ice cream! Their cheesecake was also very delicious so much so I like it better than their cupcakes! Their cupcake was okay, nothing really to write home about. I feel most of the flavor is in the frosting and the cake itself is lacking in the flavor department. Plus too, if you buy a regular size cupcake, not the one that comes with the trifecta, they are pretty expensive. The one bad thing, which kind of is really bad, is that the dining room closes at 8:00pm. As we were finishing our dinner, we watched countless numbers of people leave because the doors were locked. Some did not know that the drive thru was still open. It is deceiving because the open signs all over the establishment were still on, but the dining room was not open. Confusing to customers. Regardless, this place was very good in all. I will return here, if not only for the coffee. My coffee at Jones Bros only cost us $ 2.45!

After a second visit I will make this a 2. The spinach bacon cheese omelette was good. My daughter had the hot Carmel apple cider and it was very good. But I must say the coffee is terrible. On both visit I it was the same. I also asked for a refill to reheat the cup and was charged 50 cents. I am not aware of any other café in Omaha that charges for refills on their coffee. Coffee shops, yes. Café’s, no. My recommendation, buy your coffee at Panera or Star Bucks first then try the breakfast here.

I’ve never been disappointed in the product from Jones Bros – I’ve had their lunch, their cupcakes, and cronuts(yes, cronuts! It’s a cross between a donut and croissant… had them catered to work for an event. SO good.) Their pick 3 lunch specials give you the perfect portion sizes of your choice of sandwich, soup, and salad, with a cute mini cupcake for the perfect sweet ending. Definitely worth trying for an alternative to Panera and Paradise – which offer similar options. I would put their offering on par or above both of those on any given day. If it’s just sweets you’re after – I would suggest trying both a classic and one of Jones more inventive cupcakes of the day. Last time I went I picked up some Red Velvet, Sweet and Salty(one of their classic chocolate options), and Maple Bacon. I’ll be honest – I was floored by the delicate way the combination of flavors in the latter melded together. though the classic options were tasty as well, the Maple Bacon was my favorite – sweet, salty, moist cake, delicious! I’ll be honest, the West O location doesn’t have quite the ambiance of the original in Aksarben, but that’s to be expected. Still very welcoming and bright inside. Worth adding to lunch circuit for sure. They also have breakfast, which I have yet to try.

Jones Bros for OMAHA was very good. I’m basing this rating relative to the other local experiences I’ve had. Yes I’ve had the cupcakes at famed Magnolia Bakery, and having lived in DC I certainly frequented Georgetown Cupcakes. However, these are the best I’ve had here in the big O. I picked up several varieties for a family gathering. I had the vanilla, which ended up being my favorite. The frosting was pretty sweet but not sickeningly so, and had the perfect dense but light texture. Jones Bros has got buttercream on lock! The cake was mostly moist, not super dry but could have had a more airy texture. The top was a little dense. But overall a nice flavor. The red velvet was exactly what I had been wanting! The cream cheese icing wasn’t overly sweet, and the red velvet wasn’t too heavy on the cocoa. Simple and classic. I didn’t get a chance to try the others but also bought the mint chocolate, strawberry, and s’mores cupcakes. More to try later! I also decided to splurge for myself and got a macaron for the drive home. I love vanilla(yes I know, apparently that makes me boring) so I opted for the big vanilla bean macaron. I will admit that I first fell in love with French macarons when I had my first one in Paris. Since then I’ve lowered my standards quite a bit, just to be fair, but even so I was disappointed. The Jones Bros version had a vanilla bean cream in the middle that was lovely but the cookie part itself tasted hard and stale. Too tough. Maybe I just got unlucky with an old batch, but then they shouldn’t have sold it. All in all a good experience for a neat sweet treat, but I’d recommend trying what they’re famous for first.
