We love Jade Garden… perfect cheap Chinese food. Great price, and great for filling you Chinese food craving.

If I want cheap Chinese food, this is my top pick. I used to work and live very close to the restaurant and would frequently order take out. They give you a generous amount of food for a great price. Their meals come with crab rangoon, which is amazing by the way!!! The staff is always extremely friendly and the food comes out very quick!

Jade Garden is my favorite Chinese food in Omaha. I can’t give them a 5 (because my all-​time favorite Chinese place is in another city), but they are still pretty darn good. I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken (I like to add vegetables to it). It’s your basic garlic-​spicy breaded chicken and I get it every time. Their service is always very fast and courteous, which boosts them up to one of my favorite carry-​out spots in town. Also they are good about answering questions about the food. Let’s face it, the majority of Chinese food descriptions sound pretty similar, but when asked they are great about being more specific so you can get something you’re really going to enjoy. Kudos to Jade Garden!

Disappointed every time. The chicken is seriously so gross. Looking at it, it looks like something they picked off of the left behinds of other chicken pieces and the texture is «rubbery.» It doesn’t look appetizing which counts for something. Appearance is everything in terms of food. Lo mein looks good, but is incredibly greasy. Soup is decent. Price is adequate. The service is great though. Very fast and efficient. Friendly, too! Sticking to Three Happiness!

One of Omaha’s best kept secrets! Perhaps the best egg rolls in Omaha, heck — the Midwest! Service is outstanding and the owners make sure that everything is as expected. I’ve been there two times, once for business and will definitely be back.

I have moved away from Omaha, and this is the place I crave the most since moving! Everything about Jade Garden is excellent, from the employees to the amazing food!
My husband is allergic to mushrooms, so we told the waitress on our first visit there. The owner personally came out to our table and assured us that his food came nowhere near mushrooms. He then remembered us every time we came in after that (which was at least once a week) and made sure to go back and tell the kitchen staff «no mushrooms» before we even ordered.
The peanut butter chicken is to die for! Other things are also good, but this was always what I kept coming back to.
I can’t wait to make a trip back to Omaha so I can come here again! Fast service, delicious food… this place rocks!

The people that write reviews on here try only the blandest things. Do you really think Chinese people have a dish called «Kung Pao Chicken?» No, you fool. If you’re not willing to try something that isn’t in «brown sauce» I don’t think that you can critique the chefs.
In response to Katrina R.‘s post, the egg drop soup tastes fishy because it has shrimp in it.
I’ve been coming here for years and the service is always great. I’ve never had anything less than excellent experience.
The cooks will do just about anything for you. They will change any detail for you and cook it just for you. I’ve seen people with the longest, pickiest order and they always leave smiling.
This is a family business and they’re very reasonably priced. (Everything is expensive these days so you can’t ask them to be as cheap as they were 10 years ago) They obviously have a lot of kids from the pictures on their special board. They have to send them to college, you know.
I miss their peanut butter chicken and their veggie egg foo yong. They always made it how I wanted it and it was always delicious.

The price can’t be beat. I always get the sweet and sour chicken, and it’s by far the best around. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu, though.
The food comes out FAST. You barely have time to sit down.
You can also call in your order and they will have it waiting for you when you arrive.

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would! I first ate here after a coworker recommended it to me, and now I’m back at least once a week!
The food here is always fresh and hot, and the service is extremely fast! You never have to wait more than 10 minutes from the time you order to the time you dig into your delicious plate of Chinese food.
My favorite dish here in the peanut butter chicken… It’s battered and fried, then mixed with an amazing peanut sauce. It (and everything else here) is served with two crab rangoon, which are also delicious!
If you want delicious and fast Chinese food in Omaha, this is the place for you!

I just got rice, egg drop soup, and handful of vegetables, for 8 bucks. If it was good it might be worth it. Have you ever heard egg drop soup with shrimp? Help your self if your even thinking about just run away! Two words #%+! horrible.

Run, don’t walk in the opposite direction! This used to be a great restaurant many years ago but the owners clearly have gotten lazy with success and the result is a disgusting mess. Tonight, we ordered three meals for a late dinner: one order had a bug, another had a PUBIC HAIR (with a huge hair follicle still attached!) and the soup from the third meal had a huge chunk of gelatinous wonder slime. I would recommend going anywhere else but Jade Garden — let some other business owner become successful on clean, delicious food instead of Jade Garden’s disgusting mess.

The first time we went here I liked it. My beef and broccoli was good. Everything was hot. The prices were unbelievable. But it was too good to be true. The second time I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. I’m not sure who was cooking but I know how to make that. Like actually Chinese Kung Pao Chicken and that was not Kung Pao Chicken. It was chicken in a white sauce. Not even good chicken. A handful of peanuts. Poor quality vegetables. Well it was hot. When you screw up something that basic I’m not likely to give you a second shot.

This place is terrible. It isn’t even as good as Panda Express at the mall, and it’s not even a contest. The only good things about it are that it’s cheap and fast.

It is cheap, I will give you that. I have never seen a place where crab rangoon replaced the soup before. The fried rice was bland. General’s chicken was not as crunchy chewy as I would like, more sweet and sour chicken than General’s usually is, and kung pao beef was only fair, hot and tasteless. Granted, neither of these is an authentic dish, so who the hell knows how they are supposed to taste. It just made me miss San Francisco to eat such lackluster Asian chow. And have to ask for chopsticks.
Great service, fabulous price, but less than average value. In general, Chinese food here in Omaha is better than in most other Anglo enclaves where I have lived (Wisconsin and Georgia, but not New Hampshire). They get it right in NH, somehow. Don’t worry, I will take my whiny ass back to SF soon to get a Chinese food fix and shut up.

The Jade Garden is certainly worth the money spent. The food quality is average (or above average) but the prices are super low — as low as $ 4.50 per adult diner. It’s always busy.

i’ve been coming here for years since it’s near where i live. it’s good food, modest prices. really the only thing that’s bad, and i’m not gonna take a star away or anything, but they don’t combine cards. so don’t forget to punch your card before you leave! i swear i have like a dozen with one punch on ‘em…
