This place is a new hidden gem in Omaha. great home style food(have to try the chicken fried chicken and ask about the cheese cakes). Reading the reviews it looks like they may have had some issues when they first opened but they have definitely got it figured out now. Service was friendly and prompt. Will absolutely be returning!

Harrington’s has a truck stop feel without the quality, old school food. The pancakes were not good. The biscuits were doughy. Coffee was average. Servers were nice, but looked they just got out of bed. We won’t be coming back for breakfast anytime soon.

On a Sat morning, wasn’t busy, which kind of scares me. Very good food. Our party of 3 had breakfast items. Coffee was weak. Biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs was excellent. The pancake combo was awesome as the pancakes are the star of the show here. Best pancakes I have ever tasted. Ever! Also had the Pick 3 with scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. Loved the sausage. Eggs were a little flat and should have been fluffier. Service was great. Waitresses all have tattoos and look like they had a long night last night but were friendly, efficient, prompt, and very accommodating. Menu is relatively small but food is well prepared and portioned. It reminds me of small town café or diner fare, which is a very good thing indeed! However I fear this place won’t make it if they don’t expand the menu because it’s location(West Omaha) will demand more variety and upper scale cuisine.

We decided to try Harrington’s recently because we wanted some family friendly restaurant with some good food! We were thinking of Mimi’s, but of course, they are no longer here. Instead, in its location, is Harrington’s. We checked out the menu prior to making reservations for a little get together and the menu looked really good! Of course I checked out Unilocal review, which aren’t too great, but we decided to give them a try anyway. So, I called and made a reservation for 15 people. We arrived a little early and they were still setting up our area. The hostess was really friendly. When we sat down, our waitress greeted us and asked us what we wanted to drink. She returned within minutes with our drinks. Each person in our party ordered something different, so I can write about a few different things here! First, I ordered the Mac and cheese. It’s definitely not your typical Kraft Mac and cheese. It’s a really rich cheese they used and it was actually really delicious! Served with garlic bread. If you’re on a diet, I do not suggest this. I’m pretty sure it has lots of calories. My daughter ordered the 10 oz sirloin. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. The sirloin was a perfectly cooked medium and she said it was really good. The green beans were not canned green beans. In fact, they look exactly the same as the green beans you’d get at Lazlo’s. My husband got the Alfredo with shrimp. The Alfredo sauce was really good and was more than likely made in house. Now, for the service. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She always asked us if we needed anything or came and refilled our waters. We didn’t end up waiting too long for anything. We stayed at the restaurant for a total of an hour and a half and that’s including waiting for other people to join us later to sing happy birthday and have cake! I would come back again! The food is really good! I suppose it depends on who works as to what kind of service you get though since other reviews say that they have bad service

The service was bad. We waited almost 10 minutes to get our drink order taken. The bathrooms smelled terrible and you could smell it out in the dinning room. They were not busy, yet our waitress disappeared for most of the meal. The food was not bad, but not good either. It’s brunch on a Sunday, but still I expected more.

We sat down and waited at least 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders when the restaurant had four tables occupied. This made me a little upset, but I shook it off knowing the restaurant was fairly new. When the food came out 30 minutes later everything was pretty good, but not as good as I had expected. The hash browns were kind of soggy, and our waitress seemed like she hated her job. Maybe if the atmosphere was better I would have enjoyed it more.

I would love to have given this restaurant a better rating but our experience was so very disappointing. We walked in at 6:30 pm on a Friday night. Plenty of empty tables but we are asked to sit and wait 15 minutes before being seated at a table. No one is managing the bar. Service at the table started pretty good — ordered food but was warned they just had a group come in so order may be a little delayed. 75 minutes go by and we have no food. People are leaving the place right and left because they aren’t getting their food. I’m going to wait and try the food. After all, I had already lost time that I can’t get back. I’m now committed. Benefit of the doubt. Then the people next to us get their food and everything is sent back because the hamburger is still very rare. We left at 90 minutes. On the positive, the young man who waited on us was very apologetic.

Good food and great staff, improvements will be in the very near future. This family owned restaurant has a lot of good people working hard to make every guest that walks in the doors happy. Great place to take kids for a family dinner or take your in-laws for a Sunday brunch. Ask about the daily specials they are awesome!

My girlfriend and I stopped by around 8PM on Sat. Oct 10th after the Nebraska football game in Lincoln. We’re from California and were staying nearby in the Village Pointe area. When we arrived in this former Mimi’s Café location, there were about 6 parties in the main dining room. When we were seated, there was a woman and a guy dressed like Larry the Cable Guy in the booth behind us. They were making out with heavy body contact and not what I wanted to see before I ate dinner. I felt sorry for the hostess who seated us because she tried to shield me from seeing this. As it turned out, this woman in the booth, slobbering all over her boyfriend was a waitress who apparently had just gotten off duty. BTW-this is the only thing that kept this review from being 5 stars. Our server, Molly, was awesome. She was the perfect server in every way; attentive without being intrusive. Great smile, personality and accommodating. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich, which is a favorite for me but I see it on so few menus. The breaded pork tender was cooked perfectly, not dry or greasy at all and was served hot. My girlfriend had a cheeseburger and she said it was excellent and also cooked perfectly. The cup of clam chowder was hot and very good but didn’t taste home made. But I’m not complaining. As we were going sightseeing on Sunday, my girlfriend asked if should come back for breakfast on Sunday since the food was so good and it was close to our hotel. But when I heard that waitress who was sucking the lips off her boyfriend’s mouth say she was working in the morning, I told my girlfriend there was no way I was eating there with her on duty. So we ate elsewhere.

We ordered that Harrington burger and my son had the mac & cheese and it was awesome. The portions were perfect I was full when I was done. I get so tired of going to A restaurant and paying for food and feel like I just got an appetizer. I am glad there is a new family restaurant in Village Point. I was getting tired of the same old thing. Well done Mr. Harrington you will be seeing us again.

Love this place! I don’t what all the bad reviews are about, the food here is great! They just opened and it’s great to see local business owners taking over a sweet spot at Village Point. I support local business owners, but I also love great food! Try the Harrington burger, juicy fresh meat with mushrooms, ham, cheese and honey mustard! Their own concoction and two thumbs up! Can’t wait to go back!
