Very clean shop with friendly staff! I’m very happy with the work my artist did, too. Definitely check this place out before getting your next piercing or tattoo!

I’ve gotten ink at 3 Grinn and Barrett locations now over the last 15 years, and while I can say the quality of the work is as great as always, I’ll admit the atmosphere of the new location is better than ever. The new shop is really posh and comfortable. I felt so at ease getting work done there, in large part because of the friendliness and collaborative spirit of all the artists present that day(in addition, obviously, to the artist working on my piece). Jeremiah came up with a really original take on what I proposed, and 6 weeks later, I’m as thrilled as I was the day I got it. While he worked, several artists came by to peek, and the piercer answered my questions about some piercings I’m interested in. I’m really proud of the artwork I’ve received at Grinn and Barrett, and I am greatly looking forward to going back for more, soon! (PS, this shop is seriously trustworthy about cleanliness, health, and using sterile tools. I appreciate being able to relax and put myself in the hands of true professionals!).

Grinn and Barrett is the only tattoo shop I would go to. I travel from New Jersey just to see Jen. So far she has done a ½ sleeve and 3 smaller pieces and they are all awesome. Everyone here is very talented, very friendly, and most importantly very professional. None of the artists have any hint of an attitude. The shop has a very relaxed atmosphere. For the quality of work their prices are extremely reasonable. I’ve been to other shops in New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut where I got a bad vibe and wouldn’t have felt comfortable getting tattooed. I can’t say enough about how good this place is. I’m a customer for life.

I’ve gotten two tattoos at Grinn & Barrett. The first one was script on my clavicle by Erik. Although it’s bigger than I originally wanted, it is beautiful and has held up well over the past year and a half. He’s a quiet guy but nice, and funny when he gets comfortable. The second one was a ¼ sleeve vintage sewing machine piece. It’s based off of one of my actual machines and packed with color. When it was first done I was INLOVE with it. Jeremiah got the color in the machine the perfect green/teal color to match the real one. All of the knobs and dials are there. And he did the most wonderful pair of shears as an accent(as well as a vintage measuring tape and pin cushion). This was my 14th tattoo so I’m pretty good at taking care of them. I kept it clean, dry and moisturized. After healing, a lot of the yellow had come out and Jeremiah redid it for free. I moved away from Omaha about five months after that and began have some serious issues with my tattoo. The outlining was raised and itchy what felt like 24⁄7. And I was getting cysts in the tattoo a lot.(Not pimples, but literal clear liquid filled bumps). I had tried to contact Jeremiah and got no response. Fast forward and it’s almost two years later and I am NOT happy with my tattoo. Almost all of that beautiful green/teal is splotchy and faded as all hell. It sort of looks like mildew on my arm. The ink in the lettering is falling out in some places. Instead of saying«LOVEISTHETHREADTHATBINDSUS» it says«LOVEISTHTHEA T ATBINDUS» I STILL have that horrible itchy sensation with raised outline frequently and I’m about 99.99% positive it’s not my own fault. As the other 16 tattoos I have at this point do not have the same issue. After returning to my old artist in my hometown, he told me that Jeremiah had worked it too hard and gone too deep. And that was the reason for the issues and fading. I paid over $ 850 for this tattoo. $ 140/hour for six hours. Plus a very, very generous tip. And I was 100% ripped off. I gave the shop 3⁄5 because they are nice people. Also, their art work is good. The stencil of my tattoo was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. The original work was beautiful. But it did not hold up over time and is going to give me life long problems. Plus cost me more money to have the color redone. I can’t attest to if it’s just a fluke that he used a heavy hand on me or if it’s a common thing since this is the only tattoo I have from Jeremiah. But overall, I’m disappointed with it.

My favorite tattoo shop in Omaha, hands down! Jen does awesome work and runs a tight ship! She did wings on my back and almost 3 years later they are still looking amazing! Bright and colorful! My boyfriend was tattooed by Jeremiah while he was still an apprentice — we were amazed at the quality of work! These guys actually care about what they do and they remember faces and tattoos! Great staff, safe & comfortable tattooing experience, amazing work!
