REDALERT! REDALERT! Oh wow. This place is so disgusting and full of drug addicts that you would think that Satan took a special moment to use it as his personal toilet. Honestly, even being in this place for a moment made me rethink my life and choices. After we had already paid $ 65 for a night here, the enormous mistake became apparent. If I could give negative stars on Unilocal!,I would. This place needs to be condemned. I’m pretty sure that the front desk sells drugs to the druggies that seem to inhabit the rooms.

What a shithole. Rotting windows let a nice mist from the rain in, combine that with the lake the AC left and you’ll have a great water view on your disgusting who knows when last cleaned bed. Pray there isn’t a fire cause who needs smoke detectors! And who doesn’t want to hop out of the shower and flash everyone in the parking lot cause there is no curtain over the bathroom windows. Privacy is for suckers! Seriously though, stay anywhere else. Unless you need a good spot to shoot up or smoke some rock. Then you’re good.

I honestly don’t think this place is that bad. Holes on the wall, missing light bulb, bad CFL ballast, stains on the wall, rubbish on bed sheets, broken fridge door, overlapping paint job. Honestly, I DONTCARE! They have cameras and staff downstairs so I feel safe, I have a reclining chair, HBO, a bed, hot shower, more importantly a place to stay. This place is called Econo Lodge for a reason, it’s Affordable. For a place in the Downtown area the 60ish price per day is great in comparison to the more expensive places like the Hilton. In about 10 min. walk I can get to Holland Center and a little more to the market. This place is simply about location and affordability.

Nice location in that you can walk to the downtown area in 20 minutes or a $ 10 cab ride. But this is a very cheap hotel, we only paid $ 60 but I felt it should have been cheaper than that. The fridges were super old, the furniture in our room was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the 70’s. The tub and sink were plastic like something out of an RV, and the ceiling in our bathroon was caving in. There was a huge hole in our wall from where the phone had been pulled out. This place needs some major rennovations and is more of a 1-star hotel. On the plus side, the staff that runs the front desk were all super nice and professional.

I gave it 1 star because there’s no option for no stars. Rented two rooms for two night both non-smoking when I get there there’s only one room non-smoking so they gave me what they had! When you get there you are greeted by a gentleman that looks like he hasn’t showered in days much less shaved and you feel like you can’t speak unless spoken too. Then you have to try and overcome the smell of old smoke penetrated everywhere until you get to your room. Just because your there alone doesn’t mean your sleeping alone! I woke up to a bunch of co cartouche and so did my friend next door I pull out my cellphone to take some pictures and run to the front desk. I asked the receptionist if he was aware of the roach problem on there building an he just nodded his head. We were able to get a refund for our second night not for the first. They really need better inspections in Omaha. I will never stay in this or any other econolodge hotel! P. S. The tower that comes out on all pictures online is not part of the hotel. Jajaja

The staff was friendly, but the lobby and hallway smelled strongly of old cigarettes when we walked in. Everything looked clean in our room(except the coffee pot, which was suspect), but it had a strong, overwhelming chemical smell so I opened the windows to air it out. At first I thought the strong smell was cleaning supplies, but maybe it was bug killer. We saw a cockroach crawling across our floor and another one in the breakfast area on the refrigerator. As I was checking out, another woman came down to complain about the chemical smell in her room and she was asking the clerk whether they had a bed bug or other insect problem. I wouldn’t stay there again.
