Douglas County Courthouse

Well I had the pleasure of coming here for the first time in a non-​shameful manner. My business was on the first floor (or bottom floor, I dunno) at the Douglas County Register of Deeds. First off, no lines. And if you manage to find the south entrance off of Harney Street, you don’t even have to go through security. Wow. Second off, the local government staff was helpful. I mean it still took about 45 minutes longer than was really necessary — which is to be expected — but I actually walked out of there feeling like I had accomplished something. And it only cost me $ 1 more than I was anticipating.
I hopefully will never have to come back here, but for what it’s worth, a 3-​Star experience at county courthouse is about as good as it gets.

Don’t ask for help from the following staff Members-​who refused to give last names. This pertains to the 2^nd floor, if you are dealing with a ticket-​yes a simple ticket. They treat you life a Felon. Don’t talk to Keysha, Mary, or Leslie. A higher up, Edna helped, but was rude, and offered no explanation as to why the officer gave me a 15 day time limit on showing the prosecutors proof, and having my ticket dismissed, and then they tell me it’s only 10! (Again???) Who’s right here.
