De Leon’s Taco Rico

As 24 hour Mexican places go, De Leon’s always hits the spot and gets the job done. I had never visited the L st location and I wasn’t disappointed. It was a short wait in the drive thru and the cashier was extremely friendly. As for the burrito, I usually just stick with the chorizo potato and egg burrito but I decided to try the hash brown burrito. It has bacon AND sausage! The sausage unfortunately tastes like the frozen Italian sausage nuggets you put on a pizza. I’d much prefer a more breakfast like sausage. That tortilla though. I literally could just order a tortilla and be pleased. And the green sauce is so amazing. It’s perfect really, a little spicy and tangy, mm! Something was up with the soda machine or at least the Diet Pepsi. It was watered down and had a bad taste. Besides these small things, I got a burrito to keep me full for days, and had a pleasant experience.

My first visit was encouraging, giving me a heaping portion of super nachos, complete with a bag of peppers and hot pickled carrots.
