Copacabana Cocktails and Cigars

I love a great pipe/​cigar bar and this place definitely hits the mark for me.
They have a great selection of spirits. This isn’t your typical modern bar that has 200 different kinds of vodka and not much else. They love their barrel-​aged brown liquor here. If they don’t have it here then it’s because the distributors don’t carry it or it’s almost impossible to get (East Asia is gobbling up all of the high end spirits at the moment). Great selection of bourbon and scotch.
They have a decent humidor and a wide selection of cigars. Since cigars do not spoil and many people think they improve with age, then I really think they could stand to carry a wider selection of cigars. Personally, I wished they carried L’Atelier cigars.
They have live music a few nights a week. Most is good. Sometimes they just have the wrong kind of bands in here playing the wrong kind of music. It’s a west Omaha cigar and pipe bar. They need to consider their demographic and play music accordingly. It’s also way too loud sometimes. They need to realize they’re playing in a medium sized bar and not a stadium.
There are a few types of customers that frequent this place that I do not care for:
Posers: These are the younger (usually) West O businessmen that come in here, buy a cigar, order a scotch and sit down and partake because that’s what they think successful businessmen are supposed to do. They’re not smoking a cigar because they have any appreciation for cigars and they probably cannot tell a 25 year old scotch from shot of Crown Royal. They’re just trying to look like high rollers. Mostly, they just look like the ridiculous phonies they are.
Divorcées: I think there’s a stereotype that wealthy men prefer cigar and pipe bars. While the regular smoking of decent quality cigars and consumption of barrel-​aged spirits can certainly add up, you don’t have to be wealthy to enjoy either. Nevertheless, these women seem to think this is the place to pick up a wealthy future husband. They usually come in with one female friend, sit at the bar, and order a glass of wine.
One of the Guys: These are women who think the ultimate symbol that they can be «one of the guys» is to smoke a cigar. These women almost always arrive with a group of male friends. I know it’s incredibly sexist, but there is nothing sillier looking than a woman smoking a cigar. Just sayin’.

Nice place, but a little too expensive for me.

Awesome cigar selection at fair prices, a relaxing atmosphere, good music, great service and an all around good time. I am definitely looking forward to many more visits and trying a variety of cigars.

Friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, good cigar selection and great whiskey prices. I am going to start frequenting this place more often. Very glad the cigar ban did not go through!

Updating my previous review from 4 to 5 stars because the cigar selection has improved a lot since my first review!

I am going to post an update as I have been in here couple time recently. The smoke is not near as bad and at times you can actually see it going UP to the vents. But I still walk out and have to wash everything I am wearing and shower. I wont take in my purse or coat due to the cigar oder clinging to them. But it is a very beautiful bar!

Stopped in late afternoon the other day to meet a friend. Very friendly employees. Place is very nice. Enjoyed a drink and a cigar. Very mellow and relaxed atmosphere! — I will definitely be back.

This place is such a nice place to sit back with a nice glass of wine and relax. I had no idea people were actually smoking cigars as they have a ventilation system that takes care of that. Great patio too! Staff is so nice and very attentive and I would recommend this to anyone.
