Food reminds me of the stuff my neighbor made when living in Belize. Had brown stew chicken with rice n beans and a side of fried plantains. So tasty I cleaned my plate.

First time in here and I’m sold. The food is great! Perfect seasoning and portions. Got the Jerk chicken(white meat) with rice and beans and it was amazing. My friend ordered the Ox tail and was great also. We decided to take 3 meals to go for the rest of the family. Will definitely come back and bring my other friends and co-workers.

Delicious! I love the food here. I always get the ox tail and sometimes some beef patties. Very filling the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because sometimes the staff is preoccupied. Family owned so I understand and clearly they still make enough money to stay open. Probably because the food is delicious :)

My family loves this place. Yes they are slow, but it’s not fast food! And we always have fun conversations there. The patties are exactly like what we use to have overnighted to us from new york. The ox tail was great. The sweet potatoes are a MUST and the sweet tea is delicious. Bummed that they do not have bula bread. The cocoa bread is good but would be there a lot more if they had bula!

My wife and I went yesterday for our first meal after returning from the Maldives the night before and it was worth it! She had the Jamaican BBQ Chicken and I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with rice and beans. We both like spicy food and the pepper/jerk sauce they used was right up our alley. For drinks we tried the fruit punch and tropical rhythm and they both were unique in flavor, the tropical rhythm was pineapple and ginger but the ginger gave it a little spice. The only thing I didn’t see was hot sauce on any of the tables. I’d like to see a signature sauce when we visit in the future. If you’re looking to purchase Jamaican sauce and spices they do have a pretty good size inventory to choose from. Also a wide variety of Bob Marley attire. We’re definitely going to return!

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. I am generally soft hearted towards family run businesses, so I bumped up instead of rounding down. Went on a weekday afternoon. They took 10 minutes to just come and get us some water. We ordered the jerk chicken and goat curry. Took sweet 20 minutes for our order to arrive with not many people. I think there was only one guy cooking for everyone. The food was good and the steamed veggie salad that they serve is very good. We ended up getting the fruit cake for dessert. It was made of rum and wine may be. Good, different and something u cud share after a meal.

My son recently moved to Omaha so I was looking for someplace different to take him when I visited. We shared orders of jerk chicken and curried goat. Both dishes were perfectly spiced and there was plenty of food. We would both go again. The restaurant is in a little strip mall next to a small international grocery store. Service was very good.

Great whole in the wall type of place. Their Patties are not out of this world but their curry chicken is to die for. Order it with rice and beans. Really tasty. The music is carribean and they have a TV that is usually playing some island video. Friendly staff. Very casual

It’s alright, nothing special. I would like to give this place 3 solid stars but the food does not measure up. Their oxtail is probably the best thing on the menu. Stay away from the jerk chicken, it will taste kind of bland. Cool use of space, very nice owner. Obviously not a whole lot of choice in terms of Jamaican food out in the midwest so sadly might come back.

I’ve never had Jamaican(or Caribbean) food, but I do love wings so I definitely had to try this place out. I’ve been here a few times for lunch now and I’m obsessed with the jerk chicken wings! It has a nice spicy kick to it, also seasoned really well and never dry — the meat always falls off the bone. I also had a side of rice and beans which complimented the protein very well. Pair that with a beer(particularly red stripe), you can’t go wrong! Also, the lemonade is to die for. It’s not like American lemonade where it would normally be a bit sour, but very sweet instead. They also have a wide assortment of fruit juices which are bottled, but taste really good as well. The server is super nice and is always fun to chat with. They also have a little shop with rasta-themed trinkets, shirts, hats, and other souvenir-type things. A really nice spot for lunch tucked away on 72nd street.

I was hoping to make it back for dinner at this place but just could not cut it. I really enjoyed my meal and service here. There were a lot of good items to choose from and the food was very tasty.!! I ordered the ox tail meal and it was one of the best I have had, I would also like to note that this restaurant is very very clean unlike most little Caribbean foodie spots. Clean is good, keep up the great job !

Having had food from here to-go and in house, I must say I like it. A lot. While not really formed for an Herbivore to partake, the items I do eat are fantastic. I like the Calliloo which seems to consist of greens or kale and lemon and thyme. steamed and just tender. I like to mix it with the rice. Many Rastafarians(if not all;) are vegetarian. The store is a lil’ bit of Jamaica and a tad bit Omaha. You can come in and purchase your Marley gear, a hat to hold your ‘locks, and maybe a ganja belt buckle as well. The food and for me the hot sauce are the draw. Have you ever been at HyVee and gotten those huge bananas you thought were on sale? then when you get home you peel it and know you messed up? That’s a plantain, silly. They are the best when fried and I have not made better myself. the dumplings are semi sweet and great to dip in a sauce if you get a meal that is a bit saucy My Veggie wrap was pretty good, but I would love to see more peppers and the like in it. It was mostly a Caliloo wrap. Don’t get me wrong, it is still really good, but here’s hoping. Caribbean Delights has been open since 2006. Same strip mall. Same street. Stop by and get some grub. I am pretty sure you will enjoy it

Wish I could give it 2 ½ stars, but rounded it down instead of up. I just returned from an awesome trip to the Cayman Islands, and while I was there I had some amazing jerk chicken. On a mission to find jerk chicken in Omaha I came across Caribbean Delights. We went on a Friday evening expecting it to be a bit crowded. When we walked in at 6:30 there were only 4 others in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy… really just basic kitchen type tables with basic kitchen chairs. The restaurant itself appeared very clean. On one side of the restaurant is a small gift shop/counter, displaying different Caribbean themed hats, shirts, CD’s, spices and many other items. We were promptly greeted. I was excited to order a pineapple colada, as I’d had some pretty good ones on the islands. I guess returning to cold Omaha weather in March after living perfect weather in Cayman for 11 days, I was trying to relive my vacation! We ordered the jerk ribs, jerk chicken and curry chicken. My dining partner only eats white chicken meat, and to our surprise they were out of white meat. Hard for me to understand when a restaurant runs out of something on their menu, but even harder to understand since they were anything but busy and it was after all a Friday night. We let that go and settled on the dark meat. My pineapple colada arrived, and while it was tasty, it definitely needed a few more minutes in the blender. So many chunks of ice I could not use the straw that came with it. The meal arrived in a timely manner considering they seem to cook their food to order. I ordered my chicken«medium hot» and the spice level was perfect for me. Spicy but not so spicy I couldn’t taste the chicken. The chicken was super tender; however I’m just not sure about the jerk marinate. I really didn’t care for it. It didn’t taste like what I had on the islands, but I think a lot of it was the fact that the chicken wasn’t grilled. The jerk chicken I had on the islands was always made over a bed of hot coals on a grill. The smell of the chicken cooking on the grill was sure to lure me in every time. This chicken here was definitely not grilled. My guess is that it is baked. I was excited to try the ribs. When the ribs were brought out there were only 2 large bones with not much meat on them. In trying to get the meat off I realized most of it was fat and very tough pieces of meat. The few tender bites I was able to get off the ribs were tasty. Not the most tender ribs by far, but I did like the flavor. Made me keep searching for more pieces of edible meat, but there just wasn’t much. The curry chicken was a bust. My dining partner just couldn’t eat the dark meat, and didn’t like the curry flavoring. I’m not a curry fan, so I cannot judge the curry dish. The fried dumplings we ordered as a side were basically fried pieces of dough. Very flavorless. The waitress did strongly suggest the whipped sweet potatoes as a side. I don’t really care for sweet potatoes but ordered them anyway, and I must say they were very tasty. While the service was very friendly, I found it odd that not once were we asked how our meals were. Not even when we were finished, asked for our check, and had most of the food left on our plates. Odd. While I wish this restaurant the very best, it just isn’t for me. A chef in Cayman was kind enough to give me his jerk chicken recipe, so now that the weather is breaking in Omaha I will be breaking out the charcoal grill and having some island time in my own backyard!

We ordered 3 dishes to get a variety 1) Curry chicken 2) Jerk chicken 3) Jerk bbq ribs sides included coco bread, fried dumplings, Jamaican mashed sweet potatoes. I asked for white meat with the curry chicken, but they were out of white meat. There was very little meat on the ribs. The chicken in both was very tender and included bones. I wasn’t pleased with the sauces or spices. Neither had great flavor. Coco bread was decent and the fried dumpling was bland. Did not care for the potatoes, but I’m not a sweet potato fan. For the few people there, the service was slow, but understandable since it seems to be made fresh. There were several take out orders for oxtail. Maybe I should’ve tried that. Overall, I didn’t care for it. Wished I did because I’d like to support this place. Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Really good food and unique for Omaha. Every item our party of 8 ordered was great, and the jerk BBQ ribs are fantastic. Highly recommended.

I had seen this place before but had never tried it until one of my co-workers(who is from Jamaica) brought in an assortment of dishes from here for an international food day we were having. Everything was so great I had to go back. My girlfriend and I got the Jerk Chicken, Chicken Curry, and an order of wings to go. We were both floored by the tenderness of the chicken and the amazing mix of exotic flavors to be found in all the dishes we sampled. The mashed potatoes and beans and rice(smoky and full of flavor) were amazing too! We will be back for sure. This is a restaurant genre we don’t have much of in Omaha, but I’m glad this one is here.

Excellent food and service. We met the owner, and he talked with us for ten minutes about the island and our upcoming vacation. Very friendly atmosphere. We had the rum punch which was very strong by good :) The jerk chicken wings are a must have. Delicious flavor. Jerk chicken entrée was flavorful as well. The traditional island dish of salted cod and Ackee(native fruit) was so good we are going back next week to have again. Note: red beans and rice are very spicy!!! If you want to try a local spot with authentic Caribbean flare, this is the place. Wonderful attentive staff.

My parents are born jamaican so I grew up on real authentic jamaican food. Very disappointed here. Jerk chicken is supposed to be made in a drumpan grill on coals or woodfire. That’s not what I had here. Tasted like warmed up chicken breast with jerk marinade on it. Rice and peas were decent but plantain taste like rubber. I ate here 4 years ago and don’t remember the food being this bad.

Went here with a few colleagues recently. Not my first time having Jamaican food, but my first time trying in Omaha. Important note: On the website there is a mention of lunch specials. Only two of the plates can be ordered off the special for dine in. The special seems to be only for take out? We were a bit confused by that? It was a small restaurant. Seems clean. Has a little counter with spices/rubs and various tees/jewelry on the side. Simple set up. TVs around, simple counter where you can pick up orders. It was lunch time and we were seated immediately(it was a weekday). We were greeted by a man who was pretty friendly and answered questions. Although, at one point we asked him a question about a food(something like, what does this bread taste like?) and he gave a kind of vague non-answer. So, none of us ordered it. We weren’t sure what that was about? Anyhoo, once we ordered, our food was brought by a different member of the staff and there was a little confused about who had what. But, once it was sorted out, all liked the sides like rice and beans, the fried plaintains and the Jamaican beef patties. Some were interested in the curry goat(I wasn’t and didn’t order it) – the responses to it ranged from Yum to Meh. The meh person thought it didn’t have a lot of taste. And I think there were random bones or something in the goat? As a rule, the chicken was well-received by the group, and no one thought things were too spicy(we ordered low or no spice). I’d go back for the sides and probably the chicken, but I think I’ll stay a goat virgin for now.

A little more pricey than I would have thought, but we did order quite a bit of food… I settled on the curried chicken(you had me at curry), and Mike tried the brown stew chicken. We split an order of jerked wings and a Jamaican beef patty for appetizers. Both dishes were right at the $ 10 price-point, and our drinks and apps brought the total to about $ 45 with tip. Both meals were served with rice and salad — which, I still can’t decide if it was supposed to be warm or just became warm sitting on the bed of rice. All in all pretty solid, but maybe not really my thing. Tasty, but not quite enough in my wheelhouse to make it into any kind of regular rotation. They also do catering and smaller take-out lunch portions as well… which in hindsight is probably what we should have gotten since there were plenty of leftovers for Bill(though the beef patty was promptly devoured. It was like a cheesy hot pocket filled with beef stew.)
