Benson Branch Library

I came here with my husband for story-​time on a Saturday morning. By the time I had come here, I had been to many of the local library branches for story time with my daughter who was 4 months at the time.
I went up to the front desk and asked where Baby Lap Sit would be held. I was told there was no baby lap sit. I corrected myself by saying Story Time. The librarian informed me that she had never done a Baby Lap Sit and tried to give me a list of where Baby Lap Sit was held. I told her that we were just there for story. I felt a little uncomfortable and out-​of-​place after that.
There was only two other families there and my daughter was the youngest. The librarian Autumn was super fun and did a lot with the kids. Though I think my daughter was too young, she benefitted from listening to the stories and songs.
They have a different theme for each week. This week’s theme was outer space. We read a couple books, sang a couple songs, and then colored an astronaut picture.
I think it’s best suited for 3 – 8 year olds.

My wife and I went to the Benson Library this past weekend and took our 4 month old to story time. It was really fun and the story time presenter was awesome.
After story time was over, which was about 30 minutes, I took a walk around the library with my daughter. It is a really nice, small library with a lot of books to choose from. They also have a lot of computers that people could use to surf the internet.
All of the employees were really nice and helpful and I can’t wait to go back to story time again!
