My grandpa used to tell us he lost his arm in the war. I was 14 before I learned that he lost it drunk driving a cement truck at the age of 17. Anyway, the falafel is great and everyone here is very nice and kind.

OMG! I was just treated to one of the most fabulous dinners from Amsterdam tonight. My son brought it as take out to me. I can’t wait to come and visit the restraunt myself. Had the kabob sandwich and curry fries!!! AMAZING!

This place would not survive more than 2 weeks in any Middle Eastern country. Trust me, I’ve lived in several Arab countries. The curry fries is the only palatable item. The falafel is bland and pasty, big NO-NO’s!

The döner kebab was amazing. So flavorful. So delicious. I literally ate here twice in one day. It was that good.

I really like this place not only does it have a cool vibe with a real urban atmosphere but it also has delicious food with portions that are not overly generous that adequate. I had the doner kabob platter and it was quite good. I think ice machine would be a good addition to the restaurant

If you are looking for great food that is quick and inexpensive then Amsterdam is a «can’t miss» spot. Tiny restaurant, but big flavor and you won’t go away hungry. The kabob is my favorite with the herb sauce. The meat is crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. The curry fries are bold without being too spicy. Just writing this makes my mouth water!

Finally a falafel and kebab house! Oh man this place was great! Went based on a recommendation from some locals and wow food was great! And the Greek fries weren’t to shabby either highly recommend for a falafel or a kebab haha

I do not know what I would do without Amsterdam. The food – especially the falafel – is unmatched by anywhere in town. Falafel sandwich with any combination of sauces will never fail you! And then you can finish your meal off with a sweet treat at eCreamery next door. If you don’t want to eat inside you can always call in your order and pick it up to eat at home. Delicious, affordable, and in a great neighborhood!

I LOVE Amsterdam Falafel & Kabob! I used to live right down the street from it when I was in college and would routinely eat there a few times a week! I typically order a falafel salad and the curry fries! They have great outdoor seating and everyone that works there is super nice! I’ve moved to Denver now and miss this placed dearly. I’ll have to stop by when I’m back in Omaha in May and get my falafel fix.

Love it! Their Kabob is really good. It’s huge so you must be hungry to eat it up. Their curry fries are great too. Since the kabob is huge, I would say share one fry with your friend is good idea. This location is very small so you are lucky if you get a seat inside. I am happy that they are now at the mall food court, so I can eat the same thing closer to my house!

I have had both the Doner kebab and the falafel in the sandwich, and I have tried all of their sauces. Spicy red sauce with the doner kebab is honestly a meal I could eat everyday for the rest of my life. The fries are a little small, which surprised me when I first got them, thinking I’d get belgian steak frites. But they make up for it in flavor and cuteness. Also they come with a tiny fork thing which you obviously have to use to eat each one individually. Also they have weird canned soda they dont have generally other places, so I have had all this AND a grape soda. I couldn’t think of a better scenario in life.

I enjoy going to Amsterdam on occasion. They offer a choice of salad that’s pretty much like the sandwich without the pita. Sometimes I will get the curry fries. They’re My favorite! They are shoe string fries with curry powder on top. Make sure to get the mayo dipping sauce. It’s a small little shop but worth the wait and cramped space. Best time to go is after the bars. ;) it’s a great little shop and offers a different taste to those looking for something different.

Great spot in Dundee. The outdoor patio was perfect for my friend and I to share a meal – beautiful flowers(that are now probably obliterated by the cold). The falafel wasn’t the most flavorful I’d ever had, but the presentation was lovely and thoughtful, and the curry fries were on point. They serve them with ketchup and mayo, which rocks. Everything tasted fresh. This is a great place to go to get your chickpea fix.

Went back today to celebrate my birthday and my experience was much better this time around. The place was dead around noon today(Oct 26th) and the guy says they’re really only busy during the summer. This time around I got the spicy falafel salad w/extra tabbouleh and garlic sauce on the side. I also got the curry fries again. The falafel is MUCH better in salad form without a greasy bun. The greens were crisp and fresh tasting. I was thrilled the guy humored me with the extra taboouleh as it’s really delicious. I’m was not a fan of the whole chick peas as I found some of them to be a bit hard. The falafel itself seemed spicier(maybe I’m just a whimp today?) than last time, but delicious either way. The fries weren’t as good as they were last time. Not as crispy, even more like McDonalds fries. Oh and the sauces. I got the dill sauce and the garlic one again. I still don’t like the dill sauce, but the garlic one tasted really good this time around. I was a little surprised. The two guys(different than last time) working were nice to me and even wished me happy birthday. They did forget my cheese, but when I pointed it out they gave me a little cup of it. I still think almost $ 1 for that little bit of cheese is silly, but the cheese adds a lot to the dish. In the end I was happy with my $ 10 birthday meal and I don’t regret it. I would totally go back.

Cute lil gem in the heart of Dundee. Thankfully their small menu is compensated by the fact that they’ve perfected what they do cook. Their new feta fries are amazing and definitely worth checking out! Customer service and employee enthusiasm could be taken up just a notch perhaps, but nothing to complain too much about or deter anyone from returning. Just know that if you order food and sit outside, they wont do much to ensure you get it while it’s hot. Listen closely for them to yell your name from inside… or, if you’re lucky, they’ll crack the door and shout.

If you ever find yourself hangry in Dundee, which seems to be a repeat offensive for me, go to Amsterdam. It’s hot, fresh, fast, and spicy if you so desire. I have tried everything and I like it all. If you’re not SUPER hangry, I would recommend getting the salad or plate, as they make better leftovers(sometimes they don’t exist tho). The falafel plate is my go-to. CURRYFRIES. These fingernail-staining beauties will change your life. I will admit that I’m disappointed in the smaller portions /increased price. Whatever, I will still pay for them because curry fries, I love thee so.

I was hungry when I opened the door but it immediately was amplified as I walked in and the flavorful smells hit me. We got a falafel plate and falafel salad, plus a side of curry fries. The spicy and regular falafel are both good. The greens in the salad were fresh. The spicy red sauce was good, and the spicy green sauce was great. The curry fries are a bit overrated in my opinion — just lots of salt and curry on OK fries. They offer mayonnaise with them but it seemed like standard food supply company mayo-like product. The prices were reasonable. Stick to the falafel plate or salad and you’ll be happy. The counter staff was friendly and helped us navigate the choices. Despite a massive lunch rush, our food came out pretty quickly. Bonus points for time efficiency — more time to check out the ice cream joint next door!
