After reading other reviews, feeling very much the same as most of the others. The only good thing about this place is the spectacular view. The BEST to be had in all of Squaw Valley. Our experience for the 5 of us is about the same as the others. Water service and sweet potato fries were warm and good. Unacceptably SLOW service, bad attitude from both waitress and manager, food cold, poor quality, overcooked dry burger, salad served with no dressing and shock of almost $ 100. bill(only alcohol was 1 can of Corona) We accept the fact that it is way overpriced because of the location. After receiving our food, which we quickly learned was cold and bad, the salad was found to have no dressing. We asked for dressing and a full 10 minutes passed, no dressing. The rest of us were almost done and ready to leave, so when the dressing finally arrived, my friend handed the salad back to the server and said he no longer wanted it because we were done and ready to leave. He didn’t want to eat his salad with no dressing. We are there to ski, so waiting almost 1.5 hrs to get served and eat is unacceptable. We then get the bill and are shocked, but also found no credit for the salad. We calmly discussed it with the waitress and manager and were credited with $ 10. Both he and the waitress said lots of people compliment the food and suggested that we were just«complainers». I guess they haven’t checked the« Unilocal» comments. Some of us are previous business owners. I guess their management school didn’t teach them that the customer is always right. At least, he should have deleted the entire salad from the bill. The manager’s response showed lack of tact and experience. Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s a shame to waste such a wonderful opportunity with such a bad restaurant. I realize how hurting the resort probably is because of the drought, but now would be the time to capitalize on the great season we’re having and take advantage of this wonderful view. Started out having the waitress spill beer all over the table getting my gloves and gator wet. Than our food takes an hour, tables that showed up after got their food first. We asked for the manager and he was rude. Did not care that we had issues, just made lame excuses and tried to walk away as quickly as possible. I guess that is what you get when you hire children to run a restaurant. The manager looked like he was 18 and definitely does not understand the concept of customer service. He might of been worse than the waitress at least she was nice and apologetic.

Came in early to grab a quick lunch. That was not the case. Took over an hour to get our lunches. First ones in last ones out. My fish tacos were bland and cold. We complained to the manager, all he had was excuses. Next time I’ll ski somewhere else and eat.

My friends and I came because we heard the view was amazing. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating – but not only was our food cold when it got to us, but we got dropped a bill for $ 54 because the manager was«upset» that we ordered mac and cheese(which is off the children’s menu, but we asked before we ordered if it was ok!). Mind you $ 54 was only for 4 hot chocolates and a mac and cheese. Additionally adding on 2 split charge fees without us knowing beforehand(Also not noted ANYWHERE on the menu). The manager didn’t have the decency to even come out to say why. I’m never recommending this bar. Ever.

A fantastic location with great potential but that’s it! This is a less than mediocre restaurant in a seriously dated facility. It was probably pretty good back in the 60’s, but it has been sadly let go. There is not enough capacity and the snack bar-like alternatives are scary. On my last visit I initially couldn’t find the hostess and then was told an hour wait for two, even though there were half a dozen unused tables. I trudged up to what had been a bar area to find a seat only to find it closed on one of their busiest days of the year. The high camp in general is in serious need of a complete renovation. Endless stairs to a really poor selection of restaurants, poor skiing support. The Terrace is the crown of this failed jewel. Anything like this in Europe would be torn down! I’ll bring my own lunch next time.

I’ll start this review by saying this is probably one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever experienced. Apparently you have to check in with the hostess which was not visible or well known so we sat ourselves like we saw others doing and were given menus. When we were going to order, our server rudely asked if we had seen the hostess first and when we told her we hadn’t she made us get up and leave! We then waited for another table and decided to sit at the bar. We sat for about 15 minutes while server after server walked past us and completely ignored us. This was our final straw and after a few words with the manager we decided to leave. Incredibly disappointed by our overall experience at high camp.

Best view ever… Especially at the bar. With that said, I left feeling a bit ripped off. We ordered buffalo wings. There were 6. My girlfriend and I each ate one and noticed that they were not hot(temp). We asked for a replacement, but what we got was the same 4 left over wings which had obviously just been microwaved. That’s just cheap… I paid for 6 fresh hot wings, not 2 cold ones and 4 microwaved ones. The cooks name was«Chef Mike»… Thanks for nothing Chef Mike.

Absolutely unprofessional and super egoistic staff. Went there and put my name for a table for two. While putting in my name itself I told them that I would need a table on the side with a view. They agreed to it and said that there is a waiting for 40 mins. I agreed to it and waited. When my turn came I was offered a table in the center, since the tables on the side were reserved for larger groups. I told them that the only reason I was there was the view and if the they were reserving the requested tables for larger groups then why did they make me wait for 40 mins. Absolutely disgusting experience. Pathetic customer service.

I came for the view, stayed for the view. The food is a bit expensive, but the scenery is just so damn amazing! 12 dollars for a Ruben Sandwich? Yeah okay, but It doesn’t matter, the view is breath taking.

Beautiful view of high camp. Our server was very attentive. The spicy calamari appetizer was great, the calamari wasn’t chewy, and the spice was just right. The chili was really good, I ordered it in a bread bowl. The bread was a little harder than usual bread used for bowls but the chili inside made up for it. These two were the perfect combo to warm up after a day in the slopes! If you want great views and a great basic lunch then give them a try, everything else on high camp is more food court-ish which is fine if you just want a turkey sandwich.
