This was our 2nd time here on our annual Thanksgiving trip. The hostess was wonderful, but the waitress was awful. She needs to write stuff down or something, because she just kept forgetting everything we asked for and then bringing stuff we didn’t ask for instead. The coffee was not good and the buffet is $ 24 and the only thing I liked was the waffle. It was amazing, but not worth $ 24. The only reason we keep coming back is it is conveniently located inside the Resort at Squaw Creek where we stay and with the Groupon you get a daily $ 25 dining credit. We always end up having to wait about 15 – 45 minutes for a table depending on the time of morning. It’s a bonus if you get seated near the window. The view is beautiful.

Incredible service. Brandon, the waiter we had our entire stay, was one of those rare servers who really loves his job because he genuinely cares about helping people. He even has great sightseeing & hiking tips! His manager, Andrew, was also very warm & inviting. The food was excellent & price was very reasonable but what really kept us returning daily was the service! Especially for a buffet, it made for a most pleasant experience!

Located on the bottom floor of the main resort building, the view is fantastic! We came here because we had a breakfast voucher for the breakfast buffet. The buffet is from 7AM — 11AM so you have plenty of time to fill up before heading to the slopes or whatever big activity you have planned for the day. We went around 11AM on a Sun and luckily there wasn’t any wait. Since it wasn’t too busy, we were able to request to sit next to the windows(which I highly recommend). I love how you can customize your omelets(yes, they have egg whites only as well). They didn’t skimp out on them and were very thick and fluffy. The waffle was crispy and very airy. The bacon & pork sausages were crispy but not burnt. I also loved the fresh honeycomb as I put that w/my hot water and on a bit of toast. They had an interesting assortment of toppings(Crumbled Oreos, Candy, Jams, Chocolate Syrup, etc) for your pancakes which were way too sweet for me. Lots of pastries were available if that’s what you like for breakfast. A bunch of artisan breads with cold cuts were also laid out along side the fresh fruit. A good assortment of choice that were constantly re-stocked. Dishes frequently cleared and drinks re-filled. Definitely a great way to start the day.

While we stayed at Squaw Creek, we were lucky enough to have a breakfast package that allowed us a morning meal at Cascades each day. We were able to enjoy made-to-order omelettes, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurts, cereal, granola, eggs, bacon, and a variety of other breakfast foods as part of a package. Because it was included in our cost, the breakfast was totally worth it, lasting until 11AM each day. Unless we were skiing, we would go around 10:30, and weren’t generally hungry again until dinner time! The service was wonderful, and our waiter remembered us each day, proactively bringing us drinks and asking about our stay. The views of the mountain are unbelievable, and you can watch skiers reach the bottom and take the lift back up the mountain as you eat. If we hadn’t had the breakfast package, the meal would have cost us $ 60($ 50+ $ 10 tip) for two people each day, which is a LOT more than is reasonable for what you’re getting. While the food is great, I’d be hard pressed to pay that for a daily breakfast… that said, if you can get the package, go for it!!! It’s super convenient and the selection is great.

I cannot remember the bartenders name but he was awesome. Seriously one of the best bartenders I’ve been serviced by. Came here after a long day out in the snow. Didn’t dine here(just drinks and an appetizer at the bar). Their signature drinks are a bit different, but good. Had the jalapeño poppers — not bad. Would do 3.5 stars but his service made everything.

Ah ok $ 51.00 dollars buffet breakfast for two would not mind spending the money if it was that much better than the average hotel American breakfast. Pastries, cereal, milk yogurt, omelets, bacon and eggs. Next time will cook our own breakfast in our room which tasted ten times better

Great breakfast selections, great staff. Try to go early on weekends(during summer) or prepare for a long line and wait.

We chose to come to this buffet for Christmas dinner. The food was good, a large selection, not much for a vegetarian to pick from which was a tad disappointing. The desert table was filled with ice cream, cookies, cakes, pies, and it was pretty good! My favorite was the salmon and the dinner rolls. They had a lot of meat and seafood dishes along with a nice salad bar and a kids bar filled with french fries, mac and cheese and chicken fingers. The staff was decent, not extremely polite… We were not impressed when we got the bill and the waitress told us the tip was included but we can giver her more because she has to split it with the rest of the staff. First off, we are good tippers if we think you deserve it, but if you have to mention to give you more money, then something is off. Best thing about this place was the view. You sit next to the big glass windows and you look out to beautiful mountains filled with snow!

Have a few options for vegans. Fresh fruit, juice, oatmeal, granola, and muesli. Soy milk for cereal is available upon request. But the best part was the omelet chef made us sautéed veggies on a pan that hadn’t touched eggs. The potatoes were great but no guarantee they were butter-free

Read some good reviews for the weekend breakfast buffet so we decided to try it out after mediocre service at six peaks the night before. The food was OK, the omlette station was the best thing with the potatoes, bacon and other breakfast fair far below par especially for a high end resort. Though the food was a disappointment the service was not what was expected for the money. We will not return for dining at this resort.

Delicious breakfast buffet to send us off from our Tahoe weekend. Originally advertised as the buffet at the Six Peaks Grille, it’s just a short stairway downstairs to the Cascades restaurant(though it doesn’t open as a regular restaurant, nor is it listed as one of the dining options on the Resort at Squaw Creek website). Anyway, as it is Easter Sunday, a special buffet was being offered in another area of the resort. No wait to get a table at Cascades. Made to order omelet station, hot area with pancakes, french toast, roast potatoes, and the biggest mound of sausages and crispy, crispy bacon I’ve ever seen. Another large table of fruits galore, yogurt, cereal, even smoked salmon. And then yet another table of buns, toast and bagels. Stuffed ourselves silly before our long drive home. Great way to start a day, and to end a mini-vacation. Service was good. Coffee and beverages offered before we even sat down. Dishes cleared as soon as we emptied them. NOTE — they add 18% gratuity to the bill, so make sure you read it before adding on additional tip.
