This is an adorable little yarn shop, locally owned. The owner is super nice. They have regular knitting classes. The yarn they carry is really really REALLY nice. Yarn candy! However, it is not cheap! If you want really high quality yarn for special projects this is the place for you! I like this store much more than other yarn shops in town. The employees at other yarn shops can be cold, and unhelpful. The owner here is super friendly, helpful, nice, etc. I definitely recommend!

Black Sheep is amazing — the yarn is scrumptious, the atmosphere is charming, and the service is extraordinary. Michelle Cohen is the proprietor of this delightful new store on Olympia’s Westside. Her passion for yarn and knitting is obvious as soon as you enter this lovely and well-​appointed store. The store’s monthly newsletter is a real «page-​turner». It is filled with a marvelous class schedule for all knitting levels and interests — while it is lovingly seasoned with Michelle’s warm personality. If you are looking for project inspiration and the finest quality of yarn — this is your destination.
