The Albee’s Garden Parties

This is a truly magical garden venue and Marty & Bob Albee, the proprietors, are wonderful people who made us feel more like family members using their backyard for our wedding than customers in a rental agreement.
My now-​wife & I had some fairly clear ideas about the kind of venue we wanted to get married in and when we did our first visit to Albee’s Garden Parties we found everything we were looking for and more. The setting is beautiful, reminiscent of scenes out of Shakespeare’s Arden, and equally enchanted. It is both rural and rustic, while possessing every comfort of modern convenience. The chickens, doves, ducks, and other animals add to the charm as well as provide something for the many children who attended our wedding to occupy themselves with. There is also a small playground for children which is comfortably tucked away. The venue reveals its many different charms through every hour of the day, abundantly green in the daylight and silhouetted by pixie-​like hanging lights at night. Truly fantastical and yet warmly real. The staff was incredibly helpful and when a short July storm began to rain on our occasion, they jumped into action, handing out colorful umbrellas and putting up tents over the tables within a matter of minutes. The utilization of the space is incredibly flexible and brilliantly thoughtout. I felt like Marty and her army of helpers were in control at every turn and yet nothing ever felt regimented (which is something I would not have liked). It was a personal and heartfelt affair from our first visit until the evening we left after our wedding had wrapped. We really came to love Marty and Bob, as well as their pack of dogs (who played well with our little Norfolk Terrier), would be eager to drop by for a quick visit next time we’re in the area. If we’re ever looking for a party venue in the future I would jump at the opportunity to book this little slice of heaven again.

Marty and Bob Albee go above and beyond to make every bride and groom feel welcome and special! She has an answer and a fix for almost everything! The grounds are amazing !

LOVE Albee’s. Having attended two weddings here, I look forward to attending more events at this location. The grounds are beautiful, the hosts are fantastic and hospitable. The whole Albee’s crew has so much experience, and it shows during the venues. Staff keep the flow going, and are available when you need them and invisible when you don’t (I have no idea how they do that!). Thinking of Albees — go check them out!

Marty Albee was one of my high school teachers and as a field trip she took us out to her house. I had fond memories of her and her home… several years went by (ok, 15 years) and my cousin’s wedding invitation arrived. To my surprise it was to take place at Albee’s, I could hardly wait! From the moment we pulled into the well marked, ample parking area everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) was perfect! There is no detail left unattended to. She and Bob have totally out done themselves in the most perfect way. If you are considering using this venue for your event, DO IT! If you have no event to put on… get invited to one here. There is something for everyone and I can proudly say that the woman who taught me to make the most delicious home made mac n cheese has retired and truly knows the importance and value of hospitality and attention to detail!
