A friend of the family with terminal cancer recently had a sudden decline in his health. His wish was to spend the rest of his life at his home in peace and quiet. Since he lived at alone the only way we could do this was through home health. We therefore needed very tactful and sensitive services. In addition, since we had limited funds to last for an unknown span of time we were very anxious about how to fulfill Charlie’s last wishes and keep him safe. We engaged Hospice Services along with Brad’s group at Synergy, Olympia. Without a doubt it was Brad’s group who were so wonderfully kind and experienced who got us all through this. There is a lot more to engaging home health services when than just scheduling. The flexibility with needs was fantastic and this cannot be overstated. The nurses aids, two who I got to know best, Rebecca and Nikki were solicitous but also very careful to honor Charlie’s need for privacy. Brad came to check on patient and staff as needs became more acute. This is a very professional and extraordinary group of people.
