Bait and Switch! I called ahead and asked if they had ground chicken, answer was yes, just got done doing some up! Great how much per pound? Answer 2.99, awesome price drove across town, asked for 52lb packages, He asked oh are you the one that called,(Yep I’m the one you told 2.99/lb) a couple minutes later was given 5 packages of 2.3−2.6 lb packages because he already had them done. After grabbing some other items paid and left, after getting home we looked at packages and saw chicken was actually 3.99 per pound not the 2.99 I was told. When I called, The manager Chris was extremely rude and argumentative telling me I got what I paid for that they have 2 different kinds of ground chicken.(Someone should have told me that) and basically too bad, When I insisted I was overcharged, he finally said he was not going to argue to come get the $ 12 over charge. I was fine with that and would have settled on just plain never going back, until I went to get it and the money was thrown at me and then the guy walked away. So I feel people should know what to expect. Make sure the price you called and asked is what you’re getting, Be prepared to be treated rudely if you disagree with them. Pretty sure Bait and switch isn’t legal, even if it is until money grows on trees, I need to be careful with it.

I love this place! This is the only place my husband and I will buy our meat. Their prices are really affordable, especially for the quality of meat you get. You’ll spend half the price versus Safeway and get 10x the quality. The staff is always friendly and the store itself is very clean and organized. They even have exotic wild game available! I highly recommend this place to everyone! We will miss having this place when we move back to Oregon!

I originally ordered a half beef from michaels in Shelton and after a few weeks they had not even started on the order I changed to the lacey store. While they were quicker about it I found the quality of the meat to be the poorest side I have had the misfortune of purchasing the meat is from numerous different animals and I believe the worst they could find. Almost 1200 $ worth of lousy beef. very poorly wrapped very fatty burger. etc VERYDISATISFIED

The store is under new management. Day before Easter it was understaffed, under stocked, and customer service was lacking. If they cant get their act together for the day before Easter I dont have much hope of seeing better.

Yesterday I bought 2lbs breakfast sausage and a full chicken breast, also about two pounds — $ 5.71 worth, to be precise(at the Jay’s Mkt location). When I got home and opened the chicken I was amazed by what I saw: the cut side of the meat was covered and shot through with dried, clotted blood; the meat was severely bruised, unfit to cook and eat. Franky, it looked like the chicken had been slaughtered with a pickup truck prior to butchering. Any butcher concerned about the reputation of his business would have thrown that meat in the trash. It was certainly not worth my time nor gas to take it back, but thinking they might want to know about the sorry product going out their door, I took it back — in the same price and weight-labeled bag in came in — but because I did not bring the receipt with me, they would not refund my money. They lost a customer.

I went in a while ago and got some of their kielbasa, which was ok. Today I went in to get their bone-in rib steak for $ 4.99 a pound, We’re out, we’ll have more tomorrow. Can’t cut more, no offer of a substitution. If you can’t/won’t cut more, or substitute, take if off of your signs. It’s not like it would be a big production to do so. I doubt if I’ll go back. They may have some good deals but, if they’re out of said deals, it’s not worth the special trip I made to come in for them.

One word… DREADFUL! Bought 2 rib eyes, they were so tough and full of gristle. What a disappointment. This was my second and last visit here. First time was a rib roast that was equally disappointing. You get what you pay for, while Stewarts Meats are more expensive and farther out to get to it is well worth the drive compared to this butcher shop. A little bummed as I always want to support local businesses.

Michael’s is a great place to buy meat at. We pretty much get all of meats there. They always have pretty good deals for their meats. Great customer service, always leave with a good cut.

Bought 2.81lb worth of Ribeye steaks today. Brought them straight home and put them on my professional scale. 2.07lbs. Did not touch, change or move anything. Straight from the butcher to my scale. That’s .76lb of meat missing that I payed for. ¾ of a lb. My scale is accurate. Guess who’s isn’t? I’m pissed.

I like the meat here and the quality/selection. I love the flat stake they got going on and I also get all my fish from here.

When preparing a good meal I will go to Michael’s Meats & Seafood for chicken, steak, and bacon. I haven’t purchased anything else there, but they have THEBEST Apple wood smoked bacon in town and it’s only $ 5.99lb! Safeway, Albertsons, and Fred Mayer charges anywhere from $ 7-$ 9 per pound for similar bacon.

Great selection and good prices. Always go for the carne asada. Still coming here. I’m a Ribeye junkie, and always quest for the best ribeye in all my travels(which is currently Spencer’s in Scottsdale, but that’s a different story). Been picking up three bone in rib steaks during my visit for the last few months… and honestly I must say, they are pretty darn good! Perfect marbling and melt in your mouth. Visited today, got three pound of carne asada, three bone in rib eyes, some of their chips, and some of the salsa. I’ve been enjoying the salsa watched nt football today… planning my rib steaks for tomorrow.

Worst meat shop I have ever visited. I ordered ten pounds of carne asada and ten pounds of spiced pork for a graduation party. I was assured they would have it ready next day. When I arrived to pick up I was told they did not have marinade for pork. When I asked why they didn’t call and let me know they lied to me and said they did not have my phone number. I know this is a lie because 5 minutes after leaving the shop fuming that my party might be ruined, they called me on cell phone offering to make the spiced pork. At this point I was done with them. I ended up at Ramirez in tumwater and not only did they bend over backwards to get my order done on short notice, there everyday price was 10% lower. I will never step into this meat shop again. Terrible customer service and lied to my face.
