We just moved to a new town and were referred to Pediatrics Associates when one of our kids got sick within the first two weeks of arrival (color me NOT surprised). We called for a sick child appointment and got an appointment within an hour! Arrived at the facility and found it very clean and welcoming. Unfortunately they’ve taken out all their kids toys due to swine flu concerns, but otherwise it’s bright and has a separate sick child area.
We randomly were assigned to Lisa Lee and found her awesome. She was very methodical and had an AMAZING bedside manner. Not many doctors can keep a 12 month old still while they inspect them with a stethoscope! We plan on making her our permanent pediatrician.
They also have an in-​house lab tech who was less stellar, but it was great to get our results right then and there! That kind of ease and convenience was what we missed most when we switched from an HMO (kaiser) to PPO insurance.
Four stars for now b/​c it’s hard to make this mother feel good about any doctor visit with a sick child, but this may change as we see her in the future!
