This is the finest in green-​friendly, affordable lodging. It has also given rise to a very cool local community of Ground Inn appreciators, whose circles of friendships are stronger because of this place & its innkeepers!

Great find! Glad we stopped in Olympia before heading to Seattle. This Inn has perfectly sized bunk rooms or private rooms, 2 clean shared bathroom. The place is so clean, bright, and airy with a happy and humble feel. Lots of musical instruments to jam on. Clean and well stocked kitchen with tea and coffee. Child friendly! We travel with our 1.5 yr old and she had a great time reading the kids books, playing with toys, and playing the electric piano and djembe drums. The place is simple and clean with a Community feel. It’s walking distance to downtown/​water front shopping and food. Right near the Capitol campus. There’s a fantastic playground in the boardwalk area in town. If you have stayed in inn/​hostel style housing this place is a dream! No complaints, hosts were super friendly. I will definitely stay here next time through!
Best accidental find ever. We got sidetracked on a bike trip, and they took us in with no notice. Comfortable, cosy, friendly, and very well decorated. The breakfast was fantastic and the place just feels like a home. Very much worth the reasonable rate.
