I just used Desco on another move, and – again – the service was superb. Marino Amico came out to my new home and checked everything out, and then had his custom team put in a frame for the articulating arm and get my whole system set up. The last thing you need during a move is to have to mess around with your AV system. He called to make sure I was happy with the install. I assured him that I was very happy. They’re not the cheapest, but they are the best around.

I am constantly switching out components in my home theater system and have recently gotten back into vinyl. I have brought a few things in for service, including turntables to have the cartridges installed and set up. Brad has always taken really good care of me and kept me informed about the status of my repairs. Rates are very reasonable and I’ve never had a problem with any of the work they’ve done. Highly recommended.

I just had them a Sonos home theater in my house, and I love it! There’s no wires on the mounted tv, the new Sony blu-ray player has apps like Pandora, and the sub has DEEP bass. I would give them 5 stars for the amazing installation, but I had to bump one down because the customer service could improve. I’m no tech savvy person. I don’t understand a lot with electronics. But it was unnecessary when the guy that did the estimate raised his voice at me. I quickly told him, and he apologized. I’ll still continue service with them when when needed.

Absolutely perfect buying experience… top-notch and professional throughout the whole process! Please read my review if you are considering any new home theater equipment!!! It’s now been a few weeks and I could not be more pleased with the products I purchased and audio installation from the guys at Desco! Now if only other we do business with could emulate this level of professionalism. Around the first of the year I stopped by Best Buy to inquire about a new wall mounted TV, BluRay, and integration with my existing Bose LifeStyle home surround sound system. After :20 minutes of not listening to me or asking any questions not geared to selling something I was given an illegible(the guy couldn’t write to save his life) check list of options that in summary delivered the message«here is what’s on sale and for $ 150.00 we will come to your house and tell you what you should do with it»…I actually left frustrated and knowing i would not so much as buy another DVD from BestBuy… corporate best practice to a tee! Okay so after the best buy experience I stopped in and met Mike at Desco!!! And right after saying hello…“So what are you looking for” and 10 other great questions about where the system would be and our typical use… and get this he then offers to buzz over to my place in a couple days and confirm he has a clear sense of the right components to recommend for our room and lighting… oh yes at no cost and before i even committed to buy from Desco! After his visit he offers some tips, a recommendation for an electrician to prep the locations, and suggestions for the right wall mounts to buy ahead of time from Amazon to make the job more professional incorporating my existing Bose system! Yup, that’s right, he didn’t need to take every single piece of the deal by up charging for mounting brackets or the electrician, rather he «consulted» to get the job where I wanted it with an eye towards not taking advantage of me… Amazing! Then it got better in that I received by e-mail a few days later a recommended solution based on our conversations, costs and potential installation expectations. «Rob, give me a call if we can be of further assistance.» Damn straight you can be of further assistance, I’ll take it, lets set an install date! A couple weeks later right at 9:00AM as committed, John Gribben, Lenny Halverson and Juston Saunders arrive and proceed to install and configure the whole solution perfectly. Great guys, very professional and very competent… they know their business! After the are all wrapped up they then proceed to tune the new television program the remotes and provide me with a operational overview. It was perfect! So thank you Desco! Thanks to the team, from first impressions to the thank you for my business email sent by Mike, this was a perfect purchase experience. I can hardly wait to build our next house… I’ll be talking to Mike and his team while we are framing the place to ensure the Desco Pro’s are advising from the beginning! In these days of commodity shopping, it is difficult to find a place where all the staff knows what they’re talking about, can service what they sell and are articulate, friendly, helpful and passionate about their products. Desco is one of the last independent sources and we’re lucky to have them. Your business keeps them in business.

Had to stop lurking just to put in a good word for Desco — I can’t believe nobody’s said so here yet, but this place is a real find. If you remember the days of more or less independent audio and video stores(before the Buy Mores took over) there were some awesome shops staffed by folks that knew what they were talking about, and would happily help you. They worked there because they had a passion for the gear, not because it was the only job they could get. and it showed. Desco is one of these places. I don’t know what their books look like, but I’m sure the big box competition has hurt their business, and that’s a shame. When I was ready to get a big-ass tv, yeah I shopped around. They met the best price I could find, and I got home delivery and set up(they hauled away their mess!) for 60 bucks. Maybe could have got it cheaper from some on-line store but then I’m stuck hooking everything up, getting rid of a mountain of packing material, and calling customer service if something’s missing or wrong. Plus, a sizable purchase like this, I’d rather fund the local economy than some corporate balance sheet. Profits and taxes both stay where I live. That’s worth a lot to me, and the service these nice folks provide is a real treat. Do yourself a favor the next time you’re splurging on some home entertainment goodie: consider giving the home team a chance. If another business is going to go under in this market, which would you rather lose — the locally owned one under its third generation of ownership, or yet another big box? You’ll be glad you did!
