I bought a beautiful suit that was regularly $ 795 for $ 238.50 today(70% off). Also picked up some shoes and shirts, all at great prices. The store manager, Gulshan Kumar, provided outstanding service and attention. I got exactly what I wanted and was in-and-out of there in no time.

Do yourself a favor and don’t bother coming here. The staff know nothing and are extremely incompetent. I came here twice during a month to find tuxedo pants for my fiancé and I’s wedding. No help the first two times, were just brushed off by the staff. I gave them benefit of the doubt, and came in a third time, and this is where my nightmare began. They were helpful in helping me select the proper tux pants, and placing the order, but that’s where it ends. Order was placed, receipt in hand, they told me I would be notified in a week when they arrive in-store. A week goes by, nothing. I call them, and they have absolutely no idea of my order, said they would get back to me in 30 minutes. An hour later, I receive a call telling me that the pants were shipped to the wrong store, and that the manager would call me the following day. The following day, I still receive no call, so I call the store around 5:30pm. I speak with the manager, who informs me that the item was out of stock at the time I placed the order, so it was cancelled and refunded. So why wasn’t I notified? I never received a refund either, so now a week and a half has gone by. He tells me he is having the order shipped from a store in California and is set to arrive on a Friday. They assure me they will give me a call when they come in. Friday comes around, and no phone call. I call Saturday and am informed that they are in fact in. When I arrive, I am able to promptly able to pick up the item, but then they attempt to RECHARGE the $ 100 that was never refunded to me in the first place. I had to pull up my Credit Card’s Transaction Record just to prove it to them. Summary: Unless you know they have something in stock in the store, don’t even bother going. It isn’t worth the hassle of dealing with this place.

DONOTUSETHISSTOREEEEE!!! I used this store to set up the tuxes for my destination wedding here is a few things they did wrong and when I say a few I’m being sarcastic. My ring bearer’s pants were off by 6 inches, my husband’s(then the groom, the most important member of the wedding besides the bride) pants were 2 inches too short, the best man’s shirt was too small, another groomsman’s shirt was too large, they had the grooms tux sent to multiple stores so 4 days before the wedding his phone kept ringing saying his tux was ready at multiple locations, they did not give us the discount they advertised even though it had been discussed because they didn’t set the account up correctly, they sneakily added things like a pocket square(we had told the sales associate that the wedding party was only going to be wearing the vests no jackets) that were unnecessary and cost us extra, the tuxes ended up being $ 30 more than what we had discussed($ 210 per tux), every time we went in the store if even for a simple matter we were there for over an hour and they always had to call us the next day to resolve the matter mind you we never ever got a call we always had to call back and follow up, the list goes on Jos A Bank was our biggest stressor of our wedding not my dress, not the bridesmaids, but Jos A Bank. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

I went online to look at Joseph A Banks and saw because of their commercial that said 70% everything when you buy 3. I get to the website and there was a button that said«Today Only — Dec 7! 70% Off Everything Online.» You had to enter code SEVENTY. I tried to buy a pair of shoes and it discounted by only 25%. I called their phone number and was basically told it didn’t include shoes and the banner gave the disclaimer(the one for buy 3). I told her I didn’t look at the banner I looked at the Today Only special and it says everything. She said too bad, you have to read the fine print. I said reading there was no fine print on that and even if there was, then it wouldn’t be everything. Too bad! I told her I was going to post about it and she said, go ahead so here I am. Joseph A Banks does false advertising.

I have many personal reservations about shopping at Joseph A Bank. It’s not that I’m a snob(often), but I’m very particular about materials, fit, and finish when it comes to my money. This review is not about products(as most of Unilocal shouldn’t be), but service. After a bit of a debacle with my best friend’s wedding arrangements, I decided to give the Olney location a shot. - Sam M was my original concierge who assisted me in finding some new suits to replace some that had seen better days. Sam is interested in the fashion industry outside of the workplace, and his opinions and suggestions demonstrated such. Being that Jos. A Bank never has suits that fit me in the store(European suits are the only ones that fit me off the rack. If you’re of typical American build– you’re good to go!), I had to take Sam’s word at how certain suit types fit and what patterns come in what fabric. This store does NOT carry the new Slim Fit line, so I had to order them and hope they worked! - When my suits came in, Sam was off so I was assigned to Fahmeeda D. Fahmeeda is also very much into fashion outside of work and also does a fair amount of couture work. One of the«Traveler Tailored» suits fit much larger than the others, so it had to be re-ordered. All of the rest fit as expected. Fahmeeda’s personal and professional knowledge of tailoring and fitment resulted in several suits that look VERY good! She’s also quite patient and personable! - The on-site tailoring(not Fahmeeda) leaves a lot to be desired. Again, I’m not a snob(often) but I expect that when spending $ 1000 on a suit– the tailoring should be commensurate. Tailoring is not complementary with purchase as is with other stores. The pants I have are not hemmed all the way around and allow you to potentially tear the hem out when putting them on. This isn’t a hypothetical– I catch it every time I put it on. Also, several Irish pennants were left on the suit as well as soap marks and fuzz. I’ve been to several European brand tailors here in the states, with [MUCH] faster turn-around, complementary tailoring, and none of the aforementioned issues. - OVERALL: I’m not sure who the previous reviewers received service from, but I would have no reservations about recommending you to come talk to Fahmeeda or Sam for your suiting needs. If you wear your suits often, I would possibly recommend another tailor(Sun Tailor in Tysons Galleria is my preferred). - A word on the products: OK, every Unilocal review goes here. I DO like my Slim Fit suits. I will say that at full price, the fabric does not measure up. If it weren’t for the myriad sales they have– I wouldn’t have even considered it. I feel like the Traveler Tailored suits have better fabric, even though the Slim Fits have the same fabric of the«Top of the line» Joseph suits. Joseph A Bank runs sales specials all the time– buy when they’re happening. Until the fabric quality comes up– I can’t recommend paying full price for one of their suits.

Joseph A Bank is an excellent store if you have a good idea of what you want and need. Their no iron Traveler’s Collection shirts are top notch. You can usually catch a good deal on these after the fourth of July through mid-August. The Olney location is small and customer service is usually average. Today, I went to the Olney store to make a purchase and redeem a coupon that I had received earlier in the week. They refused to honor it. They blamed their management rather than trying to make a sale. Perhaps their newness is contributing to the poor service. I can’t recommend this location at this time.

I came here to set up suit/tux rentals for my wedding. My thought was that my groomsmen were all over the country and so was JoS. A. Bank. What a mistake this became. When i first walked in no one could tell me if they had khaki colored suits for a beach wedding. They proceeded to look around the store after I already told them i didn’t like anything I saw. Then i had to point out a destination wedding catalogue I saw sitting on one of the tables. Once I looked inside I found a khaki colored tux that I wanted to have ordered, yet they didn’t know how to have this done. The gentleman helping me went to search for help on how to order, but after 30mins seemed to have given up and started helping another customer. The manager at this point could tell I was upset and asked if I was being helped. When i explained the situation he asked me to come back next week. Who tells a customer to come back later? I was getting married in a couple weeks and didn’t have time to come back later. I then went to the Gaithersburg store and saw Irv(manager) who seemed to know what he was doing. I was wrong again. He didn’t enter the discount codes in the system and actually over charged me on a few items I purchased while there. By the time I tried the suits on(back in the Olney store), the shirt didn’t fit and the pants were HUGE. By huge I mean they were triple extra large MC Hammer pants. My groomsmen all had the same issues. I canceled the order and found another option days before my wedding. Don’t make the same mistake. DONOTUSETHISSTOREFORWEDDINGATTIRE!
